Well, it's low, but is it a record low? As far as I'm aware, the nom counts for '03, '04, and '05 were never made public. So, it's impossible for me to say for sure, although my gut tells me that the 2003 count was probably lower...

You know, it's odd. The forum doesn't seem any busier now than it did in 2003, but I know it is and I know what's changed.

For any given category, the average activity doesn't seem to have increased - but there are more of them, so the total is greater.

Beyond that, the activity has become more clustered. Some people (like me) rarely venture out of the "Social Forum". Others rarely venture out of the SC4 players' area. Still others rarely venture out of the custom content area.

It used to be more the case that the familiar faces on one part of the forum were the same as those everywhere on the forum. Nowadays things have centrifuged out.

The past couple of years, there have been quite a few people I've never heard of before winning a Trixie (and there probably will be this year, too). That largely didn't happen in 2004.

Wow, 870? last time I saw it was at like 809, but then the site was down for me. Man that happened fast. When do they announce the winners? It just fills me with wonder and makes me almost impatient as I see the banner saying the nominations are being counted.

I agree with ya Duke87 about that...I usually stay in the custom content area and the CJ area, and every once in a while I'll look at a thread like this and see people who joined in 04 or 06 or any other date that I've never heard of wit Trixies too.Lol, I never even heard of you actually till like recently. It's kinda like the MOTM awards too, some of the recent winners I've never heard of...
