I am using Ordio's Simcity 4 Region and Config Creator (Scracc) and was wondering if it is possible to create regions that are bigger than 36 x 36 large city tiles? Everything bigger than that will lead to a CTD or at least it did with my testing. I am thinking it has to be related to the actual size of the config file and not the given side of the width or height because a 32 x 40 works but that is because it is a smaller file size. Has anyone been able to create a region bigger than 1296 large city tiles or is there a way I could decrease the size of the config.bmp and see if I could add more tiles? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

I have been searching around on the site and have not been able to find anything yet but I was wondering if there is a section on Simtropolis that lists all the Trixie winners and what categories they won. Thanks [... subtitle 'may' have been edited by a moderator but we can not confirm this]

Chapter I Important Characters: Charles X Gustav, King of the Swedish Empire from (1654 - 1660) Gudbrand Magnus "God's Sword" Nils Magnus "Victor of the People" Act I: Faithful General We catch up with our hero Gudbrand, who has just been called to meet with the King of the Swedish Empire, Charles X Gustav. The year is 1659... Charles X Gustav: "I have been keeping a close eye on you most faithful Gudbrand. You have learned a great deal about life and war, from your earlier days as just a page to King Gustavus Adolphus, to your later teen years under Lennart Torstenson. You also fought very skilled and ambitiously at Riga." Battle of Riga(1) Gudbrand: "Thank you Majesty." Charles X Gustav: "You have also learned a great deal about people serving as Lord High Constable and have demonstrated excellent leadership ability. The reason I have called you is that we have lost our standing in the New World. I want you to lead a group and explore the Americas." Gudbrand: "Yes Majesty." Charles X Gustav: "You have been a most Faithful General. Prepare for your leave." Act II: He ain't Heavy, He's My Brother Gudbrand is preparing his men and supplies while discussing the future with his younger brother, Nils. Nils: "If you believe that I am going to stay behind in the shadows of Gabriel De la Gardie, while you are off creating history, I guess I do not even know my own brother." Gudbrand chuckles: "Nils, I know that you are the wisest man in the world when it comes to domestic and foreign affairs. If Gabriel De la Gardie was not the King's brother-in-law, we both know who would be the most trusted advisor. Besides, you have an excellent diplomatic relationship with the French and we will need to rely on their help if we want anyone to remember us in history." Nils: "Oh, so I see how it is. I am only invited because YOU get something out of it." Gudbrand wraps his arm around his brother and smiles: "Of course that is the reason Nils, plus you will be good company." Act III: Journey to the Unknown The Docks, summer of 1659 Gudbrand: "Brother, if you have any doubts, now is the time to speak up." Nils: "I believe the time to speak up would have been several weeks ago. No doubts, I have lived for this day!" Gudbrand's Ships Sailing to Sea(2) Gudbrand and Nils would sail and land in the New World. With an already great relationship with the French, Nils would come across the stories and travels of Étienne Brûlé. This would lead our heroes to establish a fort and trading post in current day Michigan. Map of the New Settlement Circled in Red, New Stockholm(3) REPLIES: I hope you have enjoyed a slight change in pace from the design aspect of the game and like the story so far. Andrew (ac94): Thanks for the words of encouragement and I hope that I can keep up on the terraforming. References: (1)Lemke, Johann Phillip. Battle of Warsaw. 1656. (2)van Diest, Willem. Oooooooooooo, we are getting close to actually doing some development in the region. The second tile's network is almost completely laid out and now I just need to level out the surface and it will be completed on the terraforming front. I actually finished it a couple of days ago and I was hoping that I would have two tiles to display but I still have about 150 tiles of coastline to create on my third tile. With any luck and no major setbacks, I believe we will have development start around 08/16/09. A little bit of housekeeping, I have not had anyone recommend: Waterfront/walls Here are a couple of pictures to document the progress on the second tile. Northwest side of the city tile. Southwest side of the city tile with the bottom connecting to the first tile. Northeast side of the city tile. The large gap is going to have a very small river running through it and I have not quite decided on using plop pieces or the in game water, any thoughts? Southeast side of the city tile plus... A zoomed in picture of the southeast, which highlights what I think, will be the most interesting area of this city tile, a marina. And of course, the signature traffic view of the city tile. Thanks for stopping by and as I said, with any luck things should get a little more exciting when development hits this week! I am hoping that the release of the new Madden does not slow down my SC4 playing time too much. Until the next time, how about some... REPLIES: jacqulina: Thanks for stopping by and leaving the words of encouragement. 479

Well judging from the picture below, this can mean only one thing... THE TERRAFORMING FOR THIS TILE IS COMPLETE!!! Wow, I did not have any idea that this would take so long when I started. I think this project will be around for about the rest of my life. Since I have only placed a couple of rail and water related buildings I think I will save those pictures until the area is developed a little more. What I do have for right now is a look at the three major interchanges located in this city tile. We have already looked at the off/on ramps for the IM (Ichigamin Motorway) 43/94 but here it is again just to refresh your memories. This intersection splits IM 43/94. IM 43 continues to run toward the top side of the picture, IM 94 continues to run toward the left side of the picture, IM 794 is a new road designation which is used for the stretch that continues to run toward the right side of the picture, and the IM 43/94 off/on ramps that was featured in the last picture is located approximately 75 game squares further down from the bottom of this picture. The last interchange we are going to examine at this time is the IM 794. This picture is rotated 90 degrees so the interchange that we looked at in the previous picture is approximately 100 game squares past the top of this picture. IM 794 comes from the top and follows the coast to the left side of this picture and shares off/on ramps with a Memorial Drive, which will be named later. Finally, what would one of my updates be without the traffic view with the transportation options highlighted? I do not know what the next step is going to be. The fun part would be to start building this city tile but I do not know if I should terraform the surrounding tiles first so that the city connections will be working before growth takes place. I also would like to take suggestions on a couple of things, I would like to get recommendations on what you think are some of the best: road top bus stations waterfront lots (I need to address the slopes of my canals) Like I said, I do not know what is next for my region but I do know that the next thing in my post is: REPLIES: saathoff37: Thanks for the compliments and stopping by. I hope that the wow factor just continues to climb with each new post. 421

Wow, what a great read. Your newspapers and graphic work is awesome. This is going back quite a ways but back on page two, when you were displaying all of your sports complexes, how did you make your golf course? What downloads did you use? In addition, I think I will be travelling a little south of where you live on I-80 this weekend. I hope that it is nothing but nice weather, seems like every time I make the trip I end up hitting a massive thunderstorm. Keep up the great work saathoff37 and I will keep reading it

Well, we are starting to put the final touches on the terraforming and transportation is starting to be placed in its final spots. I am just going to provide some little teasers on what is happening. Here is the before image: and the after, a major intersection for the Ichigamin Motorway 43/94: Finally a look at the progress being made with a look at the traffic view: REPLIES: mayorron: Thanks for hanging around mayorron and at least this little teaser starts to show the roads being placed. rusty_777: Thanks for stopping by rusty and I think this technique is so unique because it probably is not the best way to do things lol but it works for me I guess. Hope to see you around. 347

Well, I was hoping to be finished with all of the terrain leveling by tonight but I did not quite get it all wrapped up. The last week I have been very busy creating and publishing my first website. I am very excited how it turned out and consider it a great accomplishment since I have only worked with HTML coding and I learned and added some PHP and JavaScript. Anyways, let us check out some of the pictures of the city tile and WHOA, did anyone see that much water coming? Maybe you did Here is a series of four pictures that follow the edge of the coast. You probably notice some spots opening up for ports and there is going to be some great recreational parks and some heavy utilities in the area. Finally, a picture from the coast looking inland. Thanks for stopping by and following along with some boring work but just around the corner we will start developing the region and the real fun will start to happen REPLIES mayorron: Thanks for stopping by and it is the same old same old terraforming but hopefully in the next posting some construction will start. I hope that it was enough to keep you wanting to look for more. jacqulina: Thanks jacqulina, as I get into the actual design I am really wishing I had your ability to make amazing scenes of landscape. 269

The first week is in the bag, I almost have an entire tile completed, and when I say completed, I mean I have the terraforming and transportation laid out. Not a lot to say or that is really interesting (more just tedious work right now). Therefore, I will just update you on how the progress is coming along. Play a couple of hours and get to a stopping point. Play a couple of more hours and get the west side completed. Play a couple of more hours and call it a night but I have a good start on the east side. Thanks for those that are hanging in there and sticking around. More in awhile but first... Replies: jacqulina: Thanks for coming back and hanging in there. Like I said, just a lot of tedious work right now but that should make the grand reveal that much better. mayorron: I think it is the opposite and probably more difficult technique but it is what I am using until I find a better way. Thanks for stopping by. 167

Replies Thanks to everyone that has taken the time to read my CJ up to this point. I hope that I will capture your interest enough to have you keep coming back and wanting more. Twenty20: I think I am doing things the reverse way that most do, should make things interesting at least. jacqulina: Thanks for stopping by; hopefully in my rural areas I can capture nature's beauty as you so brilliantly do with Emerald Falls. Schulmanator: The canals should make things interesting, there is so much great canal content that has been created now I thought about just using that but I decided to go with the game canals. bluemoose: The hills will only be hills during the development phase. I have not quite decided on smoothing everything up or down yet though. Hawkeye9: Thanks for the words of encouragement, hopefully I will keep you intrigued enough to have you stop by again. I have completed one of the corners of the city tile (for development of course) and thought that I would leave a little teaser of the transportation view. 122

THE PEOPLE OF ICHIGAMIN WELCOME YOU!!! Alright, I guess the people of the region have not immigrated here yet but we will get to that in time. Here is what the development of the region looks like so far. You can start to see the major roads and side streets taking shape on the raised terraformed pieces. You may be wondering how this is going to all play out so let me skip ahead a couple of steps (making sure I remember not to save on exit) and show you what the final product will somewhat look like. What I have done is just lowered the entire city tile by one in the god mode. Once I have the entire city tile laid out I will add the transportation and finish smoothing the tile out so that I do not have those "pods" everywhere. Just in case something goes wrong at least I have a backup. Hope you have enjoyed your visit so far even though we are just in the development phase, hope that a lot of excitement is yet to come. Please feel free to respond with your questions, concerns and words of praises. The best thing about an CJ is the learning process both by the creator and the viewer.

Since they have left their socialistic approach their reserves have went from $5.8 Billion to $1.089 trillion in 17 years!!! Now they still have a lot of poverty but I think that the majority would agree that India is in better shape now compared to 20 years ago. In addition, belfastuniguy thanks for lumping all Americans as being the same off one post. Guess what, that is what makes this Country great. We are a very diverse group of individuals that can express themselves because of our freedoms and for the most part we are getting along together. You can find every religion in the world sometimes in the same neighborhood here and we are not running around here strapping bombs and killing massive amounts of innocent people because they believe this or voted for this person. I like how everyone loves piling it on the good old US of A because we are so involved in the world political scheme. Do we always make the right decisions? Of course not. Have we helped a lot of people just like they have helped us? I would like to think yes.

You may feel ashamed, a majority are not.quote> The fact that he wants to turn the US into a socialist country lost my vote and my respect. Yeah, kudos to everyone from overcoming the problems of the 60's, but that shouldn't have anything to do with this election. But alas, many people voted for Obama for the fact he is black, ignoring the fact that he will give money earned by working citizens to the lazy and the fact that he has voted for higher middle class taxes nearly 100 times. Ignoring the fact that he was linked to racists, terrorists, radicals and conspricists, Ignoring the fact that his wife hates America, and ignoring the fact that much of his campaign was won by playing the race card, ignoring the fact that he voted to send big CEO's on vacation, ignoring the fact that he proposed higher taxes on small business, less health care coverage, no plans for the future, no plans to create new jobs, etc.quote> About race, CNN, with their polls, compared people who thought race was a very important factor, and who they voted for, and they found that just about as many people voted for Obama because he was black as people did McCain for being for white (or for not being black at least). So the, "he won because he's black" isn't true. quote> Vote by race according to CNN's polls. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/results/polls/#USP00p1 Whites: Obama 43% McCain 55% African-Americans: Obama 95% McCain 4% Latino: Obama 66% McCain 32% Asian: Obama 61% McCain 35% I do not know how you can say that race was not a factor in this election?

7 Environmental Problems That Are Much Worse Than We Thought
