Thanks for the info, but I must say, that last line is making me think your suspecting me of something. Do you think I'm gonna cheat or ask for a one? You don't trust me? That makes me sad. 8.gif

Is there a particular reason why the new versions of these articles are all just a series of images rather than tables with actual text?

I mean, it was nice to be able to Ctrl+F straight to something in the list, to be able to copy/paste the text, and to be able to click the links through to members' profiles. Seems like quite the downgrade.

There's no table function in the Wiki yet. That's what I'm using to keep it nice and (relatively) aligned (I create it in the forum first). It may be coming some time down the road, but this is how we'll have to do it for now. 1.gif

I really doubt I will win one this year, because I was really inactive for most part of the year. I really was only here for the Trixies and the ST 5 to ST 6 conversion, right now I'm only here because of CXL and then this years Trixies. 9.gif I might stay I while longer, I did promise a Doodles update sometime before December. 3.gif I also have some Christmas stuff I was supposed to release last year but never did, I also have an old project completed a STR version of my extremely successful Freight Railway Station...

Last year I remember the earliest Trixie hype thread was early September when everyone thought the Trixies were going to happen in November and not January. 3.gif

Ergo, you shouldn't have delayed you CJ. Though someone might add a trixe like 'most successful new CJ', and nominate yours. Remember, it only has to have started before nominations close, you can start it during the nominations. And no-one, but the Trixie Faeries, knows when the nomination for the lama-awards open.

I got nominated for best Lotter when my award winning lots were released 10 days before closing time, but I did have a collection of lots before the nominations... Anyways, the Trixies aren't a popularity contest, it's the staff who decides who win, based on the nominations, same thing with the MOTM.

Probably. They seem to add a new one or two every year.

Well, going by adding up all the icons in everyone's labels...

2003: 51

2004: 89

2005: 157

2006: 183

2007: 230

2008: 230

Note: assume a slight margin of error to each of those figures as it's possible I miscounted and it's also possible that a couple people who should have a medal don't, or aren't accounted for in my label list.

Part of the reason for the huge jump in number of awards in 2005 onwards is the practice of giving awards to teams. When that happens, one award creates several, sometimes more than a dozen medals.

As for new categories this year... well, we do have those blogs now. Might be some awards to be had for that.

Wel, yeah, but that only just came out. the developers getting some sort of award for it I could see. Other people getting awards for things done with that game? Seems too soon. Next year, definitiely, though.

Thanks swat medic and Duke for your answers. 230 a year seems like a whole lot already, especially compared to 2003.

It hasn't been.  The 2008 Trixies were late, remember?

But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity.
