I really don't want to be a pain in the ass, but...

I wasn't talking about volume (do you seriously think I'd do the math for that?).  You say that the MASS of the planet is .897 x Earth.  Which means, it doesn't matter how dense it is.  The mass is the same anyway.

Sorry....41.gif

Thanks for all the compliments everyone.

ACE: I am not trying to argue with you. This will also be the last post about the planet stats for sake of relivence to the journal, since it was only meant as a side topic to keep things interesting in light of infrequent updates. I spent nearly a day researching physics equations for creating a model for the Frontier Point system. When i was talking about density, I wasn't saying it meant it had greater mass. I was meaning it had more mass packed into the same area, which is the defintion of density, was not meaning that the .897 was of greater mass then earth.. If you want i can provide a copy of the physics equations I performed for calculating surface gravity, planet mass, orbital period arround a more massive star at a specific distance, and so forth. I tested the equations on known planets in the solar system, and they all hit right on the dot with the calculations.

Good News for Those Whom Want a Copy of The Region.

All other users. I will be with flamesrock assitance providing a copy of the Crystal Junction Region to his site for others to download. The copy is completely unmodifed, it has the entire Crystal Junction Region in it's orgionality. It is reocmmended that you get the desert mod, and PEGs limestone rock mod, to make the regional compatable, and appear the same as i use it. I will remind you it's a very large region, measuring 8 x 4 large maps in size so it offers plenty of area of building. Hope you enjoy.

The planets density is 1.28 compared to earth's 5.5.

Does this mean that there is less lag??3.gif

Congrats on hitting 3/4 of a million!

    City Update 23.1:

    Future Plans for Expansion.

Well it now looks like it is back to the tedious phase of urban sprawl once again. I've already worked with some extensive development in downtown, as you can see from the previous pics. Needless to say the 103,000 commercial jobs are providing a signifficant demand for lower and medium wealth residential zones. I have below a few pics of how I plan on future expansion in the city.

Most of the expansion will be in the north and west, arround Crystal Junction's northern limits, and arround Sandy Ridge. I plan on getting Sandy Ridge up to 55,000 soon. There will also be some expansion in the southeast arround the Topaz Canyon and Skarran Lake areas.

Here are some pics showing my plans for expansion.

Northern Expansion Arround Sandy Ridge And North Crystal Junction
    /idealbb/files/North
Expansion arround the Joplin, and West Crystal Junction Areas.
    /idealbb/files/West
Expansion in the southeast arround Topaz Canyon.
    /idealbb/files/South
    Current Metro Area Population 775,000.

A very nice update. I like how the sprawl really contrasts with the Terrain. Keep up the good work.

Your city looks quite nice. Only complaint is the highly dull names for cities and roads. Crystal Junction? 1st Road? *Yawn*

Use something a bit more eye-catching. Like..say..Lower Geode Canyon. And mabye Del Sol Ave. Name some of your building after minerals..such as Diamond Plaza. Or (depending on how many stories your building has) 36 Prizm Tower. Something along those lines.

Cool nonetheless. Love the newspaper theme to this journal. 1.gif
