I haven't been on ST or playing SC4 for quite a while. And that's a shame. I just spent the past several hours going through every page of this CJ and am just shocked and how awesome it is. It has given me inspiration to start playing SC again. I shall come back more often. Can't wait to see how you progress with this. Can you give us some more full region shots and population stats?

So, still no takers for Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, even with a second asking? -

Just thought I'd check in to see if anyone had bit on my Saskatoon idea. I'll check back later. -
Jeroni, could we see a full-szie regional shot? And what are the population stats of the city?

If at all possible, I would like to see a map of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada produced. I would like to make an accurate representation of the city in SC4. I can't find any good full-sized overhead shots of the city, I do however have the longitude/latitude co-ordinates. The city is (according to Emporis) 57 sq.miles (148 sq.kms) - so it is fairly small. If you could make the surrounding area as well - I don't know how much exactly, that would be cool too. Mapquest of surrounding area: http://mq-mapgend.websys.aol.com/mqmapgend?MQMapGenRequest=FDR2dmwjDE%3byt29%26FDJnci4Jkqj%2cMMCJ%3aHOEvq%3b4anlab%3a%29u70gyz0%26%40%24%3a%26%40%24s%26wzx%26a8x%26ESEKGF%3dTPWIK%2c8l9abx%26%3d22gyz0g%40%24%3a%26%40%24%3a%26a2%3a Preferably, I would like to see as far north as Martensville/Warman. As far south as Grasswood. As far east as Clavet (although that is about 30km's east of the city, so it's not altogether important). And as far west as Cory. SASKATOON, CANADA 52 10 N 101 32 W I don't know how much of the above information is useful or not, but thanks for considering the map. -
Oh I hope Whiteshark comes back soon. I'm missing this journal!

Wow, what an excellent read. I can't believe I haven't seen this journal before! Can't wait for the next update.

Awesome detailed look at the construction process. Good to see you don't just buldoze everything that needs to be, and work magic. Awesome, awesome, awesome!

As always, I am thoroughly impressed by the urban sprawl of Crystal Junction. It's absolutely amazing. Keep up the awesome work!

It's back! Excellent update on the small town Lewellan!

River Basin: The region where anything could happen
steveg replied to smirkazor's topic in SC4 City Journals
Smirk... where abouts is Rickennington located in the region? Close to downtown? Somewhere far out? If it's close to downtown, I would like to see some mid-rise apartment complexes closest to the downtown area, and the sprawl out into suburbs with a lot of park area near the corners. My suggestion. If it's far from downtown, maybe start it out like a small city, all low-density, with maybe a little bit of mid density, and keep the park areas huge. -

smirk... WOW. Simply, wow. I am very impressed by your city, even though I usually hate skyscraper forests. You have mentioned how you plan on building your city, so we will wait and enjoy. I haven't logged in in well over a month, because there hasn't really been much worth commenting on, and I haven't been able to play SimCity in a while. That being said, I really hope you continue with your CJ, as your city is outstanding. Absolutely beautiful. Don't let it get you down when noone comments for a few days. Some people like to comment once, and visit the CJ again and not comment. They feel it keeps the clutter down. You shouldn't be doing the CJ for the people, do it for yourself. Guaranteed if the work is good (which in this case, it obviously is) - people will read. Keep up the great work. -
Eppel Park is breathtaking!
