Great! I think I might move to Sandy Ridge. It looks pretty good--like an oasis in the dessert. Looks like a v. small skyline is developing, with the 6-10 floor towers. But that white structure (water tower, right) adds a lot to the Sandy Ridge.

What type of power plants do you have their? I saw a few wind towers but I doubt everythings wind.

Sandy Ridge is starting to look like my city except for being close to a metroplex and not being in a river valley...

but anyway if you get some bigger buildings then it will start looking like Charleston, WV...[somewhat]

Well, I have taken the time to read All of the 22 pages!!!!and all I can say about this journal is that is the best journal I have ever read on Simtropolis!!!! I would like to commend you on your fine and amazing work you have done here. I can't wait to see your crown jewel in the desert. it reminds me a tiny bit of my hometown of Vegas, also, Sandy Ridge reminds me of a little town in Nevada, about 60 mi. northwest of Vegas called, Pahrump, except no freeways connect both cities, just a lonely couple of highways, that cross the mountains. anyways I look foward to future updates, I wish I could have found the journal sooner, but awesome wowing work35.gif35.gif40.gif40.gif40.gif40.gif16.gif16.gif16.gif16.gif

Hey, nice CJ. I've been a lurker for a while on these forums, but I just want to know how you make your regions. I assume you don't use the one thats built in-game, so I just want to see what sort of program or something you guys use. I'm looking forward to trying to create great regions. Also, are you using the terraform tools in game, or did you download a special set? Thanks.

I wonder what happened to this journal, I pray that it's not dead, or are you taking a break, but whatever you are doing, if you come back someday and update, I'll be happy, so enjoy your break17.gif17.gif

This journal isn't dead, it hasnt even reached the halfway mark of it's life yet. But as some of you think, i have been very busy with things lately, also been working on some side (non-simcity) projects as well. I'll try and get an update for you guys sometime this weekend, or early next week.

    YES!!! 9.gif

Crystal Junction updates are like new espisodes of 24, if you've ever seen it, which ends with a cliffhanger each week.
