I don't think 'Homo' is the brand. I think it's just short for 'homogenized'. 3.gif

Wow, talk about another one of those 'duh' moments.  I've been having a few of those lately.21.gif

Great. I feel positively ancient. Someone pass the Metamucil and the oat bran, please. We fairy fogies need to keep up our diets in order to stay healthy, you know.

On a side note, I was over at my co-worker's place today fixing his computer...I think I've finally found someone whose swishiness goes above and beyond my tolerance level. Think Jack, from Will & Grace (or Richard Simmons!) magnified by a factor of 100. I'm still recovering from the experience.

So that is what you call it? Swishiness.

I do not quite get that part. I mean why?

In high school I met a person I liked and became fast friends with. It was 5 months before he told me he was gay, but I had NO clues of it before he told me. I stayed his friend throughout HS and why not?; only the prettiest and most popular girls hung out with him.9.gif I am sure he had a crush on me, but I wasn't interested in that way, yet I loved him(brotherly luv) and still do. I think of him from time to time. I hope he found happiness in life.

He and I both were in therapy at the time. His parents were horrid towards him and treated him like he was insane or something. Thank gosh my mom was more understanding to my plight.

Therapy is what made me study Psychology for myself. I soon became aware, that Froyd was quackers!

I have studied so many things it even boggles me at times.

Blue became royal because of a certain ruler who brought peace and prosperity to the realm. Royal blue signifies. Peaceful reign, not royalty of itself, but a description of a royal trait. Same with red or white. green is life and all around us, of course.

dev im sorry but was that really needed? I mean youve already established that fact and you really didnt need to have a one lined comment that was not even close to the topic at hand...

that was very immature...

@ frndofyaweh well thats good that you had someone going through the same thing as you at the time... but you can only hope for the best with all your friends and help them through rough times 1.gif

ThatMonkeySim: Yes, you are right, there. I really DO know what it is like to be stereotyped, to be ridiculed and even beat up for being a good friend. I found myself through, studying myself, myself. Now I have a wife and two daughters and am comfortable with that. However, I have a deep empathy for all peoples, because of my struggles.

EDIT: Joesocwork:  haha, I cannot spell! maybe it was a Freudian slip. hehee.

Ugh....the last few days..I've been literally tearing myself apart...it was so horrible..
I've gotten so worried..I don't know now if I'm Gay or Bi...it's such a terrible feeling for me...when I'm used to knowing pretty much exactly what I want...I've been crying for the first time in months...
I'm not sure if its just hormones or what...but its really strange...and I really don't like it.
I don't think I want to be Gay...I'm not sure how my parents and friends will take it...but then again, I really like men....but then I think of these two girls I know in school...and I get a warm fuzzy feeling inside...but they are pretty much the only girls that give me that feeling...
Luke (Guinea)and Fox have been really helpful...even though Luke is straight lol...its really weird..and I just realised how non-coherent this post is...must be a side effect of my mental/emotional anguish...

I don't think I want to be Gay...I'm not sure how my parents and friends will take it...
quote>

Sorry to here your anguish but unfortunately you dont have a choice of being gay, str8 or bi. You are what you are. End of story. You may not want to be gay but if you are, you are. No amount of denial, religion, logic, duty, fear, hope, or politics can change what you are or are not. The difficult bit is working out what you are. That goes for everyting in life.

One way of looking at such a confusing senario is that you will guarantee to work out what you are in the end coz you have been thinking about the nature of yourself in the first place: an opportunity most people never get to experience. The end result, what ever the result is, will mean you will be 1000% more self-confident and know more about yourself than most people could ever imagine. So don't despair!

For whatever it is worth, the teen years are the worst.   The teen years aren't easy for anyone but they are especially bad for teens who think they might be gay or bi.  The good news is, you are still young and have time to sort this out.  You don't have to *do* anything about it now.  You are not under any deadline so give yourself some time.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

I couldn't have put it better myself! Never put yourself under any pressure to do or feel anything you're unsure about - you have all the time in the world to work out who you are or who you are not.

In fact, isn't that the point of life: to work out who you are? I'm still trying to work it out and i'm half-way up the hill - lol

@Boggy: Give it some time, think it out, and don't feel rushed. I've been through a lot of these moments in my life and its just best to sometimes sit down and meditate. (Really Relaxing) Something will come to you over time, and remember, don't worry your parents may find it odd or disagree, but trust me they will get over it! Their your parents and they will alwaysl ove you. 1.gif

arguably is a good word for it.  Personally, I think the teen years are rarely the best years of one's life.  Teens are in a weird limbo land; not children, not yet adults.  They have more responsibility but very little control over the events and decisions they have to deal with.  Dealing with the consequences of a decision you didn't make isn't much fun.  (and here, I'm talking about things like moving and having to deal with a new school, having your parents changing spouses, your parents getting fired, your parents doing this, that, or the other thing and dumping the results on their kids.)

The 20s are a bit better.  20-somethings can get some level of independence and deal more with situations they have chosen to be in.  There is a lot to be said for autonomy.

But I really think the 30s are the best.  By the time you hit 30, usually you're done with your education, have sorted through the issues that cause teen angst, and can actually enjoy some of the results of your hard work while you are still healthy and young enough to enjoy it.

By the 40s, things start to creak a bit and it takes much more work just to maintain your body at a constant level.

The 50s, suprisingly, are turning out to be the most creative and dynamic decades, especially for women.  Something about that empty nest that frees people up to pursue other interests.

The 60s . . . well, this will be interesting.  My generation (the American baby boomer) has always maintained that we aren't going to age the way our parents did.  I remember being told, as a teen, that I would outgrow that rock and roll junk.  Well, that hasn't happened yet and I don't see it happening any time soon.  Strictly from a health perspective, my generation should be healthier than my parents.  Just looking at the food they ate most of their lives, it's no wonder they have health problems.  In theory, my generation should be able to avoid, or reduce some of that.  We shall see.

The 70s are nothing compared to the 80s.  As I tell my 85-year-old momma all the time:  they get really difficult to raise once they get in their 80s.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. boggy1, I can empathize. My teen years were the worst of my life, for many reasons. But it is good that you are honestly trying to come to terms with who you are. It will be an ongoing process. But you will succeed.

I invite you to consider this: I am 100% sure that I am gay. No question. But I am also 100% sure that I experience attraction to women once in a while. Shania Twain, Cate Blanchett, Liv Tyler. Yeah, all celebrities, but I know few people very well and most of them are males. But one I know personally is J.B. (sorry, you won't get the full name outta me). She's cute.

You know, considering that you frequently quote the bible and flaunt your religion all over the place, I should hope so. Otherwise you'd be a hypocrite.30.gif

Okay Mr. C? I am seeing to many elaborations again....in some of these statements.

Boggy1: I cry all the time. Joyful tears and sad ones, but even when I am sad, it is NOT a devestated sadness, because of the underlying hope and joy that is always present in me.
Boggy1, All you must remember is to love yourself and NEVER be ashamed of what you like and feel comfortable with. Bad choices are learning experiences. never let it embarrass you, or wish it was different. use the experience to become wiser. repeat the successes and act on your passionate skills and hobbies. avoid the failures and weaker characteristics can be strengthened into tools of success.

By all means!, take a personality profile test. It will change your life and how you view yourself characteristically. Remember to be absolutely honest when taking it. Trust me.44.gif

A real man, defined: NOT macho! able to express any emotions in a healthy manor. never chauvenistic. not identified by masculine or feminine qualities either way, but just be who they be.

EDIT: Vid
Ben Afleck is handsome and has some rather cute expressions. I am comfortable saying that.
I just saw the movie Jersey Girl. I cried in the baby feeding scene at the very beginning. Liv Tyler is hot also.
