Downloaded this earlier but after checking the file it's only 450mbs so it's corrupted basically. I'm trying again

The link on this site to download won't accept my username and password. Does it mean username and password for Simtropolis or username and password for CitiesXL? I've never actually joined the CitiesXL site and can't sign up now cos they're down.

I have installed everything, and it seems to be right, but for some odd reason, I keep getting an "invalid characters" message when I attempt to login when the launch window pops up.

I tried entering both the password for my account on their site, as well as the key, and neither work. Anyone else experiencing this problem?

Disregard....works  now.  It was probably a server related issue..

Thats not the user name and password they are looking for...during the installation when that window pops up for registration, and you need the beta key to do that, that username and password are what they want.

As far as I can tell Gamespot works. The three parts(which are the same as what is in the .rar file) are at the following places.

big download hasnt been working for me either, I can get to the main screen that you sign in at, but then the program crashes and I cant get past that. There are only the two parts that are needed to download the demo?

Anyone that is having more success, any tips of what one should do or any better download sites for this?

I used WinRAR after downloading from filefront and mine too says it's corrupt.

We've heard various reports of people saying they have problem with some of the RAR files, to extract the files make sure you have the latest version of WinRAR.

I have a little problem - the files stop downloading, when it was only 30% downloaded? Where is a clue?

I used latest WinRAR and it still says it's corrupt. I tried both Filefront and Bigdownload. I also tried 7zip and ALzip to extract, and I installed the C++ patch. I'll try again but I'm just making sure I'm not missing something...

edit: tried big download and get new error which says

Error opening file for writing

\paks\all_sgbin.pak

Edit 2 : managed to get past errors by ignoring these file hope none of them were important

Edit 3 : seems as though none were important I managed to get it working good luck everyone else

Try gamespot, it worked for me and was not in .rar format.

Yeah I waited 4 and a half hours for the files to download and they ended up being corrupt. I used latest winrar and downloaded off of filefront. Owell lol...
