I have a fairly small town with 550.000 souls. But my water consumpation is 6.000.000 cu m/month.. I have to pay 90.000$ ALONE on my water department..

Check what happened to my industry:

Hm also... My private schools are being raped.. Can I get more than 3 of those?

Well, Id say your biggest problem is that no noogies have been given out. Seriously though, I had a city about that size, and I know my water consumption was no where near 90000 per month. Sounds a bit high to me. But it also seems strange that you have a full mayor rating and 4 billion dollars. Maybe there is a problem with your game?

The school is used WAY over capacity. Dunno why I don't get another one :/

Heh.. Well I have full major rating caus I rock! xD *shh don't tell anyone* The money is due to a cheat I used. When I suddenly faced the 90.000$ bill for my water, I had to get some "free" money... I guess the mayor rating is due to the massive amount of parks and monuments I suddenly was able to buy... Oh and the 0% tax rate on high wealth 9.gif

I have 100 mb of plugins.. Dunno if one of them is causing the massive water consumpation...

remember afte 50 years or so water pumps drop to zero production as the get old and break.... you will be paying for alot of water pumps that arent even giving you water any more...

Yeah I sometimes find 4-5 old pumps.. But those I have now are all new and well funded pumps.. The water demand is 6.000.000 cu m/month.. Brokens pumps shouldn't imo have no effect on that..

YES! As hey2abills pointed out, your real problem is the fact that no noogies have been given out. Thats worse than my school, nothing happens. And it's a public school! But I don't know whats wrong with your water, maybe it's your pipes. Broken pipes cause leaks and leaks cause more water to be used.

Have you clicked on those buildings to check the reason for the abandonment? I don't think industry comes back if it is abandoned for lack of water.

    @ tungston

Oh sorry about the pictures. I forgot to check the size when I uploaded them..

    @ ironicepitome

Hm the pipes seems fine.. My currently water usage has fallen to 800.000 cu.. It's confusing

    @ ewd76

Their efficiency / condition drops down to 0.. I guess it's normal..? Buildings gets old and wear out..

Once you get the images loaded here, you can resize them by right clicking on the image in the edit window, and choosing "image properties".   Usually filling in the width with 800 will take care of the resize.

I found that plugins are the #1 cause for strange events like what you experience...

Wow , Tungston , that is a helpful tip , I always hate having to resize my pics like that , so I try to minimize pics here.

I have a few things to state here , first of all , you should ALWAYS keep water funding at 100%.

You can also try , and one by one , demolish the old water utilities , and build new ones , pipes too , this can revive the efficiency of your network.

Last of all , the moolah cheat(Found inside the extra cheats dll , look at the top of this board.) allows YOU to pick how much money you have , check my blog for more on cheat codes.

    I hope this helps.

6,000,000 water usage is way too high. Probably 10x what you should be using. Are you using downloaded BATs? If so, that is likely your problem. Be aware that some BAT designers have horribly broken stats for their buildings. They're just too lazy to properly balance their buildings to the default game buildings. Often their buildings have way too many residents or jobs, and pollute way to much trash or use too much water. Stuff like that.

I found the water issue to be such a pain in the ass that I disable it by ctr-x, at the prompt type howdryiam and you won't have to worry about it.  You'll still get the water pop ups but ignore them.

Are you sure every water source is actually connected to the pipe system? Especially for some custom water towers/pumps, I've noticed sometimes the true connection point isn't where it "looks like" it should be, sometimes it's a tile or two away, though usually within the lot's footprint somewhere at least. And it'd be virtually (maybe not even virtually) impossible to notice if a particular source isn't connected to the overall pipe system by looking at the overlay unless it's the only source feeding some remote pipe... which sounds pretty unlikely in a city that size. An unconnected tower/pump would still a) cost what it costs, b) supply what it supplies (and contribute to the graph accordingly), and c) service the needs of any lots in its immediate vicinity, which would make it *appear* to be contributing when in fact it's not, not fully anyway. Just my 1/50th of a dollar.

    @ Bones1

Hm yeah.. I have some custom BATS.. I've been thinking about if LBT_FireStations could cause it..

    @ Spinmaster

Heh.. Well.. It actually helped a bit when I connected all the pumps.. Somehow they need to be connected.. I have tried demolishing all the buildings and connecting them again, but my current water usage is still more than 3.000.000
