I love making Rural highway and ground level highway overpasses. I think they add a nice realistic touch to the game. But I hate using the NAM ramp because most overpass ramps are not made of slope columns but of mounds of dirt. The problem, I  am having trouble making smooth inclines due to the lack of useful tools. So how do you make this:

6-29-1.jpgIs there a program I need to get off the stexs or is it just a lot skill with the SC4 tools?

I have the NAM and I don't even know how you did that. I think what you are talking about is both a program and a skill you need to use in order to make said program work right.

Well the NAM has a ramp puzzle piece. So it's just an ugly cement ramp. I want a hill so it looks good.

i do it by hand with either the mayor mode and God mode terreform tools.  the work here is so small and detailed i just find it easier for me this way.  and as for the lack of useful tools, i also use the cheat for God mode...hold the shift + ctrl + alt keys together and click on God mode...hope this helps

I do have the holediggers, but that doesn't help with making the smooth grade. I do use the 15 meter ground lifter then try and extend and lower in gradually, but I usually end up with one or two sections of steep grade. I use the God mode, but I usually end up messing it up and have to start all over again. I guess it's just skill.

Slope mod is the easiest way to do it though.

Also, hole digging lots come to play as well to.

I use BRF Slope Mod, and I smooth the slope with the rail tool to make a gradual grade.  It doesn't always slope perfectly but with a bit of practice you can get it almost every time.  If the rail tool just isn't getting it, sometimes the ground highway will.  If you still end up with a little wrinkle, zoom in to the closest zoom and do one or two clicks on the corners of the "pokey" grid square with the mayor mode leveler--that sometimes works.  It's a process...21.gif
