Hi, Archean,

Yes, your CJ does have actual lurkers, although it is very difficult to prove their actual existence.  Wait a sec...ssshh...I think I hear one...oh, I guess not.  Oup--yep, there they are, over there by the up/down buttons!  Aww, they're gone--you missed it.  They are an illusive breed, but I've heard they're attracted by the catfish noodling (or telekinesis) exhibitions, which can be very exciting.

For me, small mountain towns can be very unlurk inducing, and yours did the trick.  You've got it situated there nicely along the river and the dam is well placed.  I was wondering how you were going to work in the midrise office building, but I don't see anything out of place in the subsequent overviews.  The biofarms, commuter rail, and ornate cathedral adds to the touristy, yet PC, village theme.

I also enjoy how you've worked in the greenery and nature aspects in your larger towns.

Seriously, stop making me quit lurking!  3.gif

Zelgadis: Thanks! It's a pond and it would be really nice to go swimming right now, and that pond looks crystal clear.

    Noodle a catfish...go fishing?

And no I'm from the Northwest. 9.gif

Leech10: No it's okay, I have another six weeks of school things to finish up, lol. However everythings caught up at the moment.

    Brad: Thank you!

Brian: I've got a little something to tide you over, spent a lot of work on this image down below.

ilikehotdogsalot: Thank you, I appreciate that you like the downtown! 9.gif

    Livin in Sim: Hello Livin.

Oh my god an actual lurker! I wonder how many of you visit Follomer. And well you're in luck, I've taken a liking to small towns, however big cities are still my thing. And that Dam in Dehyesha. Haha, that dam has been in that same spot ever since the city was started way back at my CJ's beginning, never moved places no matter how many times i've redone the city. And also I highly appreciate all of your comments. First time and you write me a several paragraphs, which I like to see!

Oh but I like it when you stop lurking. 3.gif

danielcote: Thank you, I try hard to make them appeasing to you all. And its Tristania, 1.gif

And what do you mean about keeping the old styled buildings?

jacqulina: Thank you again for your compliments jacky, glad you keep coming by.

TmiguelT: Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the both of em. And its okay, being sick gets you a get out of ST free card. 9.gif

Thanks again! Well the park pond was actually half that size before i redid it, doing it any bigger and it'll take up half the city. lol

A nice region view, and more importantly, a good map to orient us in the Syndicate. It also looks like a good place to live. Perhaps after the Soltrian negotiations are complete, the Executive could sneak in a surprise visit....

I mean the ones from goofyguytpa and stuff that look like they're from an older era like art deco or art neavu and all those old styles.

By the way nice regional view!

In that case, you're not from the south. 3.gif Catfish like to hide out in shallow areas and especially like hanging around in hollow dead trees that fall in the water. "Noodling" is a process by which you reach in, find a catfish, and jam your fist down its throat. Then you take him home and eat him. 25.gif

    So yup, it's "fishing." 4.gif

Also, I'm with Leech. Red area! Looks like God's wife dropped her silk scarf on your landscape. 3.gif

    Leech10: Brad: Map!

    Brian: Aw, maps are cool!

Brad: That would be Folserria, Follomer's northern territory.

Brian: The black smudge is a photobucket oopsie.

TmiguelT: Yup! Been there since the era of Uniden City. Don't worry, the radiation fallout from each blast has been contained enormously as time's gone by. Ah the same destruction of of a nuclear blast, just without the fallout.

Krisman: Thanks! glad your enjoying everything.

Patricius Maximus: Thank you very much, and Follomer, no matter is dangerous going ons, can be a nice place to visit, and is always welcoming Alliance tourists or visitors of importance.

danielcote: Thanks! And I think I know what you mean, don't worry, I use almost everything in my plugins folder. ^^

jacqulina: Thank you again my friend jacky.

Zelgadis: Nope, haven't even ventured past Tilamook Oregon. And well that's something new to learn.

And mabey she did, wow that's one big scarf, she must be livin the life up there where no sim has gone. Well, no live sim anyway.

Update 25 | River? Dam it.

    1-145.jpg

Up in the Folserria mountains, Follomerians have ventured and spread their grimy hands over the pristine environment. And here is the outcome. A hydroelectric dam.

    2-136.jpg

    3-125.jpg

    4-110.jpg

    5-101.jpg

    6-90.jpg

Here a brown bear wanders into the outlet of the river, searching for fish heading up stream for mating season. The fish are getting into something much more dangerous however, if that Bear is quick enough.

TmiguelT: River = Great = Thank you!

    Dam = Smart = Sweet

River trying to cross a wide river = Not so smart = say wha? oO

danielcote: Thank you! Loved the dam when I saw it. And I dunno, maybe. I'm sure they can't even get past the dam in the first place, but hey, what the fish don't know wont hurt the hungry bears. 9.gif

    Leech10: Thanks leech!

    Update 26 | Airport Upgrades

    1-146.jpg

As time goes on, I make several improvements to my region and its infrastructure. This time, do you notice anything different with Tristania city? The big one in the middle. 9.gif

    2-137.jpg
Before, Tristania city's Uniden Internation Airport looked like this, with an industrial zone infront of it that just made the tile look ugly. Well I took the liberty of clearing that area of industry, and, with about a half hour or so of work, changed the look of my city from this....

    3-126.jpg
To this. Uniden International now has four runways, making it the largest airport inside Follomer. The tourist industry and the government are hoping the bigger scale airport and the new beautification program will increase the number of visitors to Follomer sibstantially, bringing in more commerce.

    4-111.jpg
And to celebrate the opening of the new runway at Uniden, an overview night shot of the entire Tristania Metro area, Uniden International included.

    Attention all Follomer Readers

As of May 12th, Follomer is a dead CJ. In an attempt to remove an annoying and invisible water height mod, SimCity could not copy the file, simcity_3.dat from the media. Even after running through the installation twice, and trying to copy the file several times during each, every time failed. So as of now, I do not have a way to play Follomer, or simcity at all. The CD seems to be a bust, and the only option i'm seeing is to buy a new copy of the game. I will keep attempting to install the game, but if the file continued to be stupid, and cant be copied, then be prepared to see Follomer, somewhat abruptly stop.

I apologize to all of you who were enjoying this story, and were enjoying Follomer itself.

I will keep a look out for another copy of simcity4, and if it can get installed, I'll come back, perhaps bringing back Follomer, or possibly starting an entirely new CJ as a fresh new start.

    Sincerely your Scifi City Journalist.

    Archean, aka Mikey

I'd like to inform everyone that the "temporary" loss of simcity was just that. I managed to copy all the files, and now simcity is running again, therefor, Follomer is not dead, and will continue to be updated till the story is officially down. However the showcase will continue of course. ^_^

    Thank you,

    Mikey
