I seem to have missed a few updates...

Follomer isn't advanced enough to have long bridges? Or was there already somewhat of an island there to begin with, which was modified when the bridges were built?

Can't wait for more!

I always thought that black asphalt highway mod was a little too black. But still, everything looks great! Seeing your Belmont Rd. mansions makes me remember that I still haven't downloaded the proper versions yet. I still have the pre-release versions and they don't look as good. 3.gif

I like the double bridges there too. 9.gif Personally, I'd go for something more dramatic, but you know me and bridges though. 3.gif Do what you like. 3.gif

    Teaser Spoiler

Now here's the 1st teaser of something BIG i'm doing with Follomer. What you'll see down below will not be familiar yet, but I'll release more info as time goes on. In the meantime, I'll give you a teaser of the future of my CJ.

    1-169.jpg

All new region, all new cities.

    And here's the big one.

    2-155.jpg

This city will play a big roll in the future of Follomer, so stay tuned for more.

    Replies will come later. 1.gif

If I'm not mistaking, there lay four regions on the island Follomer lays on, the Follomer Syndicate, the one to the north (forgot it's name), Virgin Shores and one in the north east. Are you now developing that quarter of the region, or are you making a new island.

    Regards,

    Korot

jacqulina: Thank you VERY much jacky, even more nice compliments then usual! I thank you.

TmiguelT: Thanks! 9.gif Those houses I'm using all OVER my cities. I'm blocking all maxis residential wealth and letting those develop, because they make beautiful neighborhoods.

Well I've been using the RHW for a long time, I just don't use it often.

Patricius Maximus: Thanks pat, and I worked hard on that retreat, i spent an entire day of gameplay on that.

Mayor of Tempest Lake: Hey good to see you here motl, thank you for coming by and the compliment.

    Leech10: Uh ohs!

Well the environment around the town called for a less then extravegant bridge crossing.

    And thanks!

Victor Valdes: Thanks victor! I'm not very good at small town settlements, my bat choices go more toward big city urban developments. 9.gif

Zelgadis:  Haha, those "mansions" would be the perfect house for me to live in. They look perfect.

And I know you and bridges, since you are the god and overlord of watercrossings!

Victor Valdes2:  Thank you again! I actually will give you more right now.

Korot: You are...3/4ths correct. Follomer owns the entire west half of the continent island, while Virgin Shores owns the entire east half. What I'm showing you is a redevelopment of Follomer. Not a new region altogether.

Schulmanator: Yes, and you will be more so soon! 9.gif

Ooh, ran out of repliers, now time for the GRAND OPENING of!.......(hey, look down at the update!)

Update 36 | An ALL NEW Follomer!

Alright, here's the biggest thing I've done to DATE with Follomer. Now most of you are going to be excited, and some are going go "say whut now? Oo". But don't worry, not much is changing and everything is getting better.

I reveal....An all new Follomer Syndicate mainland region!

    1-172.jpg

This here, is a project that literally taking me over a week to finish. Behold, the new capitol city of Follomer, Saint Krist!

    2-158.jpg

St. Krist City, named after the Goddess Kristina (in Follomerian religion). In Follomer, the female roll is considered just as important as the male role, and in some case, more important. Which is why there is barely any discrimination in Follomer of sex. If there is, the government doesn't know about it.

Now, in the center of the bay is the Office of Military Intelligence for the AFDES Alliance. Toward the lower right corner is the Chancellery quarter of the city. Bottom middle/left is the AFDES Summit Complex, south side of the river is Downtown and the city centre is the north bank. And last but not least, the pyramid tower cornering the river outlet is the new Follomer Syndicate Space Corps HQ, or the FSSC building. Many places in this city have high strategic values. Most of the command structures of the Follomerian military and navy are located within St. Krist.

    3-146.jpg

    4-130.jpg

    5-121.jpg

    6-104.jpg

    7-84.jpg

There's the waterfront, and near the FSSC building is the entrance to the OMI access bridge.

    8-74.jpg

Elevated rail is becoming a norm in most Follomerian cities.

    9-63.jpg

    10-52.jpg

    11-42.jpg

    12-32.jpg

The FSSC is known to be the most important military asset in Follomer.

TmiguelT: Which region view? I see no (full) region view. Not that I don't want to see one, so Dear Cancellor, could you please give us a region view off all of new Follomer?

Glad you kept the Follomer name (despite rumors to the contrary), and the basic shape of the land. I'm sure the revamped Follomer will serve as a springboard for furthur development.

    Question Answering

Korot: The very first image of that update was a region view, however limited due to the fact that the region as of yet is still completely barren. I've been focusing on that city first and once its done, I'll do the rest.

Patricius: Yeah i kept the name due to a last minute decision. I like Follomer too much.

There is more to the coast then just that, which I'll show you when I'm finished with the cities. I don't want to show anything more till the other cities are done.

Well, I still wouldn't quite call it a region view, though I do understand the reason for not showing the whole region and I can hardly wait to see the full region view when it

It's quite nice development there so far! Perhaps a bit too open, but that's just an opinion. 3.gif Still, it's a very good assemblage of buildings there. And they all do well in fitting in with a futuristic theme. 4.gif

How interesting it is that the TransAmerica Pyramid is going to be popping up in my CJ soon. Coincidence, perhaps? 4.gif

Update 37 | Some Region Progress

I've done some progress on the new region, but because of the game freezing every time i run it, I'm way behind on what I've gotten done, compare to how much I couldve done without the freezing.

    Follomer-4.jpg

The biggest of course is the capitol, down the river is Cheltali, and the seaport is Port Highton.

He is having computer slowdown problems, let the guy first fix those before adding more custom content which slows down (loading) the game.

Awesome city, but now to a more technical aspect, did you turn off shadows on your simcity?

I imagine you have a computer that simcity 4 won't recognize the video card, so it has to do the sloppy software render shadows, which look plain horrendous for big buildings. How did you turn it off? I'm facing the same problems.

Djohaal: There is a button to let you turn of shadows in the option screen, in the graphics tab, if I'm not mistaking.
