Here is an article highlighting what I have been complaining about with the Cowboys being saddled with nasty December schedules for the past few years: nfl.fanhouse.com/2009/12/08/cowboys-december-collapses-have-a-simple-explanation/

BTW, Tony Romo is returning to the scene of the crime in 2006 when he dropped the field goal snap as the holder.  After some failures in execution by our current holder, the Cowboys have given Romo the job back.  Personally I like this, because with Romo as the holder it allows the Cowboys to run trick plays on field goal attempts with an established playmaker...not that our offensive coordinator would ever have the balls to go for it on fourth down.  You never see any trick plays or fourth down attempts from the Cowboys, ever.

Picks for the week:

PIT @ CLE

DET @ BAL

BUF @ KC

GB @ CHI

CAR @ NE

MIA @ JAC

SEA @ HOU

DEN @ IND

NY-J @ TB

NO @ ATL

CIN @ MIN

WAS @OAK

STL @ TEN

SD @ DAL

PHI @ NY-G

MON:

ARZ @ SF

edit:changed IND-DEN pick, but might change it again lol

Realy? its the holders fault Folk shanks a FG to the right?

Not exactly in my opinion. Some of those field goals he missed are inexcuseable. On the replays, the holder normally has a good hold, the kicker just messes up.

I am not going to defend Folk, because he has obviously been off all season after having hip surgery right before training camp started, but two of his misses can be directly attributed to Matt McBriar, the holder, failing to turn the laces on the football, messing up the machinics of the kick. Folk has definitely hurt us this year, but we can't forget his history as an extremely clutch kicker with a big leg (at least on field goals, not so much on kick offs). He has the talent, so I am hoping that with Romo as the holder, he can get his act together.

Sorry, everyone about late picks. Wednesday I get home at 9 pm, Thursday I get home around 7:30 from basketball, and yesterday I happened to get home at 7:10 from the BGC. So I've been REALLY BUSY! Here they are:

CLE@ PIT Odd, but Pittsburgh is off the deep end. I think CLevland is better than Oakland, so there.

     DET @ BAL

    BUF @ KC

    GB @ CHI

    CAR @ NE

    MIA @ JAC

    SEA @ HOU

    DEN @ IND

    NY-J @ TB

    NO @ ATL

    CIN @ MIN GOOD GAME!!!

    WAS @OAK

    STL @ TEN

    SD @ DAL

    PHI @ NY-G

    MON:

    ARZ @ SF

Pittsburgh has really one off the deep end, haven't they? They really aren't playing well for SUPER BOWL CHAMPIONS!

I hope you realize that your PIT @ CLE pick will not count20.gif as a win since it was posted 2 days after the game was over

Redskins up 17-10 with :56 in the first half, Tennessee is whooping the Rams 23-0 at halftime and Dallas trails San Diego 10-3 at halftime. If these teams hold their leads, I'm looking at a 12-2 start to the week. Best I've done all season is 13-3, so I'm shooting for a 14-2 week this week.

no i didn't win state but the division section championship.

    we won state last year

once again Chargers roll, Boys flop in december.

    1. if the boys can play like they did the last 1;50 of the game the outcome would have been different. dallas drove the ball from the 10 in a minute or so.if dallas could play like that, they would be very good.

2.poor ware. that did not look good on the tv. i think that changed the game. dallas couldn't focus on the game.

i am not bragging. I am done with it. iuse to but the 10-3 bolts are going 13-3 en route to super bowl

The chargers looked very impressive, but I dont think they can make it to the Super Bowl unless they can spruce up the running game, which has the second lowest yards-per-carry average in the NFL and generate more of a pass rush. I envy your kicker though.

    1. I wouldn't exactly call a 20-17 win a 'roll.'  Maybe 27-17, but not 20-17.  In my book, thats a squeeker2.gif  Unless, you meant rolling to their 8th in a row3.gif

I just read that a few minutes ago.  A sigh of relief was heard from down south19.gif

Yeah, Philly better win, though I would rather the Giants win...

It was realy a  10 point win, the cowboys scored with 2 seconds left in the game. when SD stoped playing defence for that last minute.

Now the cowboys have to win out against  NO, Phily and the redskins, not an easy scheduel.

I seriously doubt Dallas will be able to beat New Orleans, though their chances against Philly and Washington are far, far better.  I know I'm picking NO against Dallas.  My prediction is that Dallas will finish the season 10-6 and just maybe squeek into the playoffs as a wild-card.

10-6 wont get you  a wild card out of the NFC East.

Yes it will.  The only other division with a 2nd place team with a winning record and any chance at a wildcard berth is the NFC North.  The west and south divisions will be extremely hard-pressed to produce a wildcard.
