Tomlinson redid his deal tuesday. I expected this to happen. the chargers still have a shot with thier current team.

Ray Lewis signs back with ravens as expected.

Bears pick up orlando pace today, so Cutler will have a couple more seconds to find one of the bearsspare recievers.

So the broncos have Phil Simms kid ( Chris) and Kyle Orten as QB. Marshel may be suspended for a few games too.

Look like that division is easy pikings for the chargers this year.

Good! Just what the Bears need for the Vikings to repeat as champs: a whiney, self-centered mama's boy.

Easy Bakes: As if the division wasn't easy pickings already. The chargers won the division with a horrible team and an 8-8 record. This year, the get Merriman back, which will have a tremendous impact on their defense. The Chargers will be much better this year assuming they get the proper mileage out of LT and Sproles. I think its safe to expect 12-4 out of them.

As for the Jay Cutler situation, one word describes my feelings: ROFL. [technically, 4 words].

Excited for the draft, but dissapointed that B.J. Raji failed his drug test. I go to BC high, which obviously has a close relationship to the university BC, so i'm quite dissapointed by this news.

I doubt that Plaxico Burress will sign on with a team until his legal situation is resolved. He is old, damaged goods at the moment...which won't stop some team from foolishly taking a chance on him. I suspect that he will end up in Chicago and team up with Cutler in the second half of the 2009 season.

Jay Cutler is a dumb synonym-for-donkey. He was in a great situation with the Broncos. He had a prolific offense loaded with weapons at every skill position and a rock solid lined anchored by rising star Ryan Clady. I really envisioned him becoming the next Peyton Manning.

Now Cutler is moving up north to the Bears, where-no offense Bears fans- offensive players go to die. Besides Mchahon in 85, what positives can you list about the Bears on offense, ever. Last year they were ranked among the worst in the NFL on offense, and in all honesty I don't think having Jay Cutler changes much of that. The only real reciever they have is Devin Hester who is more widely known for his kick and punt return exploits than anything he has done on offense. The offensive line was just terrible, and don't tell me that Orlando Pace is going to magically make it good. He has not been the same player he was the past few years, especially because of injuries. Matt Forte at running back is definitely a strength and I believe running the screen play with him will be crucial to any success that the Bears find through the air. However, the bottom line is, besides the QB and RB positions, this Bears team has a significant drop off in talent on offense that will surely hinder Jay Cutler's progress and his stats.

Maybe the move will work out for all sides, but I really think that Cutler hurt himself by demanding being traded, tarnishing his reputation and his future stats.

Draft is soon!!! So is Easter!!! And my District Track Meet!!! And Graduation 15.gif It goes by too fast...

Willie Gault, Walter Payton. While Berrian, Gage, and Wade were good, they didn't show it until leaving the Bears. I don't know what to say about Muhsin Muhammad.

The Cutler deal is very big news here. When one says that the Bears haven't had a good QB since McMahon, the general reaction is, how can you call McMahon good? We've forgotten what a capable QB even smells like.

I am sorry to see Orton go, but there's always a tradeoff. I suspect he will do well in the future, unlike Grossman who will never start again. Orton has potential, but never fully developed it here.

Madden is leaving quite a legacy behind him.

NFL draft is about to be here 9.gif

I think the cowboys will trade several of their 09 picks for '10 picks because there is no way all 11 picks make the team this year.  I bet they will also try and trade up and get another second or third rounder with these picks as well.

Needs:  strong safety, cornerback, inside linebacker, big big ginormous nose tackle and a speedy wide reciever

We adressed most of these needs this offseason so the Cowboys have the luxury of picking the best talent available over need even more so than usual.

    ^lol

his work in Madden 09 is really inspirational.

I would hate to be a team with a top 10 pick right now...the money is just stupid.

up to $ 78 million for Mathew Stafford.  Heck no.

Maybe Stafford does have the potential to be great, but in the words of my old track coach, "potential means you ain't done sh# yet"  What has he done that merits this contract?

i agree that contract is rediculous.  the nfl has their "entry level" system way out of wack.  the nhl has a pretty solid system for entry level players.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jerry Jones has Dallas drafting for "depth" again....just like the 90s that led to the destruction of the Triplets dynasty.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And yea, the NFL needs to adopt a draft pay system like the NBA or NHL.  MLB does too.  Have you guys heard about the stud pitcher that throws 100+ mph fastballs with excellent control...Scott Boras (MLB super agent) wants 50 million for this kid, who hasn't even pitched in the minors yet.  Ludacris.

Never heard of the rapper? 3.gif

I am really uncomfortable with this Cowboys draft.  There is no way 12 picks make this team, and a lot of these guys we picked seem like big developmental projects with position switches and stuff...

They say the winds were almost tornado strength. I caught a few seconds of this on the news but it was just a still shot. Some of those injuries sound serious.

We can inspire others through witness so that one grows together in communicating. But the worst thing of all is religious proselytism, which paralyzes: “I am talking with you in order to persuade you.” No. Each person dialogues, starting with his and her own identity. The church grows by attraction, not proselytizing.    - Pope Francis

Who knows, maybe the Cowboys can make lemonade out of lemons and turn this into a rally cry and bring unity into the locker room for the upcoming season.  Nothing like a little adversity to bring people together 3.gif

It is a relief to see that the injuries were not more serious.

Rich Behm A scouting assistant was permanently paralyzed from the waist down after his spine was severed during the collapse of the team's practice structure in a severe storm.

The team announced Rich Behm was in stable condition at Parkland Hospital on Sunday after surgery to stabilize a fracture to the thoracic spine.

    The most serious injury.

Cowboys could be  in some legal hot water concerning the building collapse.

Seems the cowboys were listed as the general contractor ( and have no licence for construction work) for  replaceing the roof last year. No inspection was done on the compleated work which is required by Irving City code.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-cowboys-canopycollapse&prov=ap&type=lgns&start_row=26

Irving City building code requires an inspection of any building under construction, or any major modifications or alterations to an existing building, I would think replacing a roof on building of this type would qualify as a major modification.
