It's a relatively new CJ union.

It stands for: Alliance of Fuel Developing and Exporting States.

The posts and CJ's you've seen refering to AFDES are probably by members of the union... like me!

If you want to read a bit more about it you can have a look here for a basic intro

The site is still in development, and really the only members are AFDES members

Yeah, the AFDES is pretty much in its "baby" stage, but we're getting there. I mean we're nothing like the SCJU or the COFR, but again, we're getting there, slowly. ^^

I'm the 'A' to the 'r', to the c-h-e-a-n,
and even though my name means 'old' I'm really quite pimp,
I'm Archilicious.

Hi! I'm Mike, the creator of Folland. You can find her in the forums or the CJ Section.
Folland is also a part of the United Sovereign Nations of the World, a SimCity 4 Union!

Discuss the topic, not other members.

    fabsies55:

    SCJU = SimCity Journal Union

COFR = Confederacy of Free Regions

but they just complicated it by bringing these into the equation.

The last version of the site (v1) had a copy of the wiki article on it, but then when we upgraded to SMF I just haven't added a button for it yet. Thanks for reminding me.

un1 actually just reminded me that we have our own wiki in development! 18.gif

And about the small number of members, it is primarily for internal discussion (about half the site is private anyway), but we do welcome non-AFDES members to join, and have relatively busy boards for other things like SC in general and forum games of course. 3.gif

If anyone has any suggestions pertaining to the website, please, do PM me (Webmaster) or un1 (co-Webmaster), and we will gladly implement them.

Tri-Tri-Triple post! haha, I was looking at your site, and I couldn't really find anything that said what you guys were about. Like City types and whatnot. Just curious if you could direct me in the right direction.

Well there's the wiki article... http://www.wiki.sc4devotion.com/index.php?title=AFDES and we're working on our own wiki right now... this information was present on the old site version but nothing but the forums exist on the new version at this point.
