Or is this all just for show! lol44.gif

I think it is a bad idea to let development into the natural park anymore, even around the lake, it is a place for wildlife, leave some of nature for people to enjoy, even remove some buildings that have penetrated into parts of the natural park, if they need more land then they should go into the neigboring township of Atlas to expand, or develop bigger buildings in the downtown area.

Catching up with the story again... impressive updates! As for the solar system: it's really great! I love the pics you make, I even wonder HOW you make them (the planets, rocks and stuff) Do you use a program for it? (or do you create them in Gmax?) If so... I'd like to know which one, and maybe you have some suggestions on how to make planets and the like! Keep it up!

    ...............................................hm.

    1Mount%20Megantic-Llama.jpg

    It was in all the newspapers of all the Nexian regions today: * How did one of Dr Evel's Llama appear in Oxalis, so far from home... and right in the middle of town?*
    First thanks for all the comments and the patience waiting for this update.
    Leech 10, the space looks smaller actually than it is, there is more room than you can imagine to fit even more stars and planets in there.
    palmgurl, about the birds, if I knew why I would tell you. I have three counties in my regions that only have birds and lots of them, but I have no idea why so many.It is a bug, that I know.
    hm...slayerovsims,what do you think?
    Well, superchad, the futur of the parkland in the middle of Gloryville isn't in my hands, but in those of the counsel. I don't know yet what they will decide.
    utora,all the space pics are done in gmax and then finalized with simple mspaint. The planets, the meteor, the spaceships and the probes and Space stations are all BATs, which I created almost entirely.
    I have been away for a week or so, been very busy with a lot of things. Now I am back with another update, which I will do in 2 parts. The first today and the second later tomorrow. We will visit Oxalis/Megantic,Barelake and Naganik first and then have a look at Cold Valley,Bolton and White Sands.
    First let's go and see the Megantic area, where they have imported from Uru a whole village. As a souvenirs from Uru, the government has brought over a typical village from Uru, piece by piece. It was than assembled here in Megantic and now it is open for the public. Many of the folks here never have been on Uru, because they were born here, and only pictures and films were available for them to see their parents' homeplanet. At the same time of the opening of this village, the RICO team came back from Uru, the ones that were filming every single thing on Uru to keep as futur references. This team, once leaded by the famous Mayor of Axis South, Mr Rico, was on the old planet for several years to have filmed the longest documentary ever.

    2Mount%20MeganticVillageView.jpg

    It was great to see some original buildings from Uru for many of the older generation, which have almost forgotten what it was like. Some 48 precious buildings have been taken appart, boxed,shipped and re-assembled.

    3Mount%20Megantic-VillageClose.jpg

    Just like its originality, these buildings were placed almost in the same positions as they were on their original planet. This operation took 2 and a half years, occupying more than 1200 people. Now that the town of Salis is ready for the Nexian public, it will open its doors this weekend. Some people have been chosen to live here and continue the way of life of the ancestors on Uru. This is a Live historical site.

    4Mount%20MeganticVillageClosest.jpg

    While in Oxalis/Megantic we will visit Sven's new mansion on the slopes of the Megantic Mountain, just above the village of Oxalis. I don't know how he got to build his Villa there, although most of this area was protected, but I guess it is proof that laws can be either changed or bought out, whichever he was able to do. This is his retirement home, together with his wife Anke. Their twin daughters and son will take care now of all their businesses.

    Now, It was yesterday,Ocober 14th, a sunny and warm day, that several hundreds of people awaited Clay Wallace and his friend in GrandFalls,when they finished their 4 month journey through the Ganoga Valley. Glad to be home, Clay wanted to see his parents and then sleep in a Real bed. All the radio and TV chains were on the spot to welcome them warmly.
    But first here are some pictures from their last month's journey on their back on the southside of the Ganoga valley. Barelake, which has all the springs of the Ganoga Lake is a small and roundish pond at the end of the region. The water is warm and kinda sulphur smelling, Clay said. On this picture we can see their travelings through the last of the counties. Red crosses were their campments. They crossed the lake on foot, where the Barelake meets the long Ganoga lake. Surprizingly this is the only township of the Valley that didn't have massive amounts of birds. Kinda strange they thought, but no actual reason was found.

    6BarelakeView.jpg

    Once on the southside of the valley, the forest changed again and here is a typical picture of the dense wilderness that the team had to conquer everyday of their journey back, never really knowing what they will see and encounter next. These forest are rich in vegetation and scientists , along with biologists can't wait get there and study this large Ecosystem of a different kind.

    7Barelakeforest.jpg

    Further on the southside, it became hilly, and once reached the Naganik Wildlife Reserve, Clay and his friend were up on the top of the valley. Again, here everything changed, from animals to the vegetation and temperatures. Before they arrived here, this region was studied carefully by the telescopes aboard the Space Station Nexis I, and also then considered and chosen as a wildlife reserve by the Rulers and the counselers of Gloryville.

    8NaganikView.jpg

    It was here that the Wallace team confirmed that other people have been there before. They found old campments and some older fireplaces all around this sort of hot Mineral Geiser. *Who were they and what were they doing here?*...were the questions of scientists once they got to know this. Even the Holmes Security Services will have a look, maybe connecting it with the 2 scientist murders a few years ago. These 2 scientists were lost once and then came back , they wanted to reveil a secret that they found, but before they had the time, they were murdered by several people, including some Gaburans, as Holmes suspected. Ever since the Gaburan Government has closed their doors to the Nexians.
    A Team of scientists of all trades and 10 Army helicopters along with  4 dozens of highly trained soldiers will be rushed there by next week.
    Will this put an end to the scientist murders mystery?
    Clay Wallace and his friend did not know what the Geiser was expulsing, but they said that the liquid was smelly, oily and in all kinds of colours. Clay said that he wasn't good in biology and chemistry in school, so he didn't really know what it could be.
    Now the Wallace team will be working on their thousands of pictures, maps and records that they have collected in the last months through the Ganoga Valley. Once finished the final report will be offered to the Scientific Research Institution in Atlas. A financial support of whatever the team has in mind for their futur has been offered by the Center of Atlas. Clay always wanted to be into sports and that is probably a good financial start for him.

    9NaganikGeiser.jpg

    Most of the younger generation has returned to school or college by now and some even continued to work with their part-time jobs. We will get back to them sometime later.
    I will now speed up some years and get back to normal speed in the next updates. We will jump more or less 2 to 3 years, just about the time when most of the new Celebrities scome out from their studies and enter the real world of Genesis on their own.
    I will be back tomorrow with another update and a few new Nexisbats and lots, never seen before. Make sure to be there!2.gif

    the reason the park should stay is becuase of natures beauty, we should not destroy trees and plants, our source of air, and didn't barby work hard to preserve the nature preserve, you should not look have down from barbys vacation center and see tons of houses instead of nature and trees.

    Again thanks for the comments,... did you folks realize that we have more than 80K views?[:0] Wow, a new record,thanks to you.1.gif

    Let's go back to Cold Valley and have a look what they have been doing with the new prison yet.
    Not quite ready, but it certainly is taking the form of a penitentiary.The walls are almost finished and only a few more buildings are missing. The village below is slowly growing also, since all kinds of jobs in the prison need to be filled soon.

    10Cold%20Valley-PrisonOverview.jpg

    Here is the underground entrance coming in from the other side of the complexe welcoming the visitors with the two Main offices. Visitors have to park their vehicules on the left, while office and other workers and  leave their cars in the undergound parking. On the left is the High Security prison, able to hold more than 1000 inmates. More on the right (middle) is the Rehabilitation Center and on the right are the forced labour factories.
    Here on Genesis the laws allow to handle prisoners with forced labour, just as they did on Uru. *If they want to eat, they have to work* and if *they want to have entertainment (TV,theater,games etc), they have to have discipline*. That is the way it works on Genesis.

    11Cold%20Valley-PrisonEntrance.jpg

    Here is a closer look of the High-Security and the Low-Security departments. Under High-Security, prisoners cannot leave the walls contouring the structure and only are allowed to reach the factory by an underground passage to earn their food. They have to work 6 days/week for at least 6 hrs/day to receive 3 full meals.

    12Cold%20Valley-Prison.jpg

    On the other hand it is different with the Low-Security prison. They live in houses with rooms and are not locked in. They can go outside all the time, but have to stay within the fences. Also they have lesser work to do to earn their daily meals. On top, they can grow their own food in a garden, which is quite excellent for their rehabilitation. Each morning and for 5 days/week, a bus picks them up to the factories, where usually they spend 654 hours/day (EDIT:Correction 4 to 6 hrs/day) working.
    Here on Genesis, it is not the people who pay for the criminals well being with their taxes, but it's the prisoners themselves with producing all kinds of products that will be offered for sale in the Cities to the citizens. You might say that once the prisons are more than half occupied, the system pays for itself.

    13Cold%20Valley-LowSecurityPrison.jpg

    Just about time to go to work on the prison construction sites it is, and the bridge leads to it. Just below the penintentiary is the Sirius Group Power Corporation, which will take care of the needs of power of the big complexe. This Power station was buiult to support the powerlines with electricity in case that Grand Dam fails to do so. M'any years ago, when Grand Dam was built, they never thought that once another Powersource will be appreciated and even needed, which seems to be the case, with all the cities and towns growing like this.

    14Cold%20Valley-Bridge.jpg

    Now in Bolton big changes are occuring. The Regional Administration Office in Gloryville has decided to open up a big space for the residential development so much needed lately. Bolton , now gouverned by the Capitol City as Tenzel Outlet, will not only improve with this, but also Gloryville will take benefices from this residential development, since more space for the commerces will be available in downtown.

    15Bolton-NewDevelopment.jpg

    Even downtown of Bolton has its changes coming, the first Hi-Risers have appeared and traffic is starting to give some headaches to the Mayor.

    16Bolton-downtown2.jpg

     A closer look of the prepared terrain, ready to receive the construction Companies that will build the homes. Land is more expensive here , than in other parts of the region, usually normal too, since these lands are closer to the all the Big City's accomodies.

    17Bolton-Powerline.jpg

    To finish this update , just let's go for a small stop in White Sands, the eastern part of Gloryville with its Oriole International Airport, now beginning to become very busy sometimes.

    18White%20Sands-busyAirport.jpg

    They planted a statue of the first airplane that was built on Genesis by the Benson Industries (father of Chad Benson), a fighter plane, which they brought in from Atlas. Here it serves as a welcome statue to the visitors of the airport, right at the big entrance, just over the bridge. That plane has served in many security missions on Genesis in different regions and now is retired.
    So, if you come to the Oriole Airport, make sure to stop by the statues and dream a little bit of the old times.

    19White%20Sands-PlaneStatue.jpg

    Allan Sapporo, the young fellow that lives in Black Lake and works part-time at the White's Historical Park, will be going soon to College in Bolton, far from his parents. He decided to study music, all kinds , from origin up to todays sounds. Playing his guitar sometimes in smaller pubs and bars on weekends, he got really into this matter, loving it more and more. His father doesn't have much revenu, working for the Ferry in Black Lake and his mother neither, being a nurse for a private Doctor, but both have gathered just enough money together, to send Allan to College next year ,so he can continue his dream.

    Thom Yorke, who still is Highschool in the east sector of Gloryville, and working on weekends for a small privately owned Renovation Company, was offered today a job for the famous Jim's construction Inc. Of course, with a double pay with Jim's Company, he did not refuse, and besoides he will nott only clean up after the construction workers, but actually be constructing buildings. He brought the news home with a big smile and his head up high on his shoulder.

    Horatio Utora is going to the first year of College in Nexis City, taking the train every morning in his hometown of Cedar Bay. The moving bridge in Cedar Bay has been repaired and it was found out that the reason was the island of Nexis is moving something like an inch a year or so. The bridge was built according to that, moving along.- Young Utora has been writing and writing almost everything that happend in his life and taking notes of this and that, just ideas, that might come in handy later in his life, but his mother finds that the papers are all over the place that there is just too much of it. Now Horatio is starting to wish to have his own private little place, to have peace and quiet and be able to write what,how,why and whenever he wants. Now he started to take courses in philosophy and literature. His hero and example is Hoomer, an  ancient writer of the Urulian world.

    I will be back later this week before the weekend, with another interesting update. Hope you enjoyed this one.2.gif

    Ha! It seems Horatio is finally breaking free from the bonds of his parents! I'm very curious about his developing writing skills... I can tell you that he is already dreaming of becoming a famous Hoomer himself one day...
    You know, right now Horatio is very intrigued by this classic Hoomer story about this famous explorer Uruleus, who explored Uru with his ship and provided the first inspiration for mapmakers centuries ago; I think the book is called The Odyssey...
    Keep it up!

    Thanks for all the comments and be welcomed ,all you newcomers.

    There will be big changes in the graffics of my CJ soon4.gif, one at a time. I have already started with CycleDogg's trees and terrains, and now it's the rocks with Peg's mod...etc. I used to play with the white sand mod,snowcap mod and the darkblue water mod only. I didn't even know about many other mods, so when I started to look around in the forum last week, I have discovered many things and many eyecandy mods, which I will be using in the futur. Just amazing what one can do with these mods. I still have my jaws open.......and you might say that I am on a discovery journey myself now.31.gif

    Ok, that also means that some things will be changed in my regions, like the snowcapped mod that I cannot use with different other mods means that I have to melt those mountains, unless someone comes up with a new file that works with other terrain mods. 34.gifOtherwise, there will be a Global Warming in my CJ....lol....maybe I'll add some other disasters...
    Anyways, that is still ways ahead though and maybe only a more than normally warm summer or two will melt the snow in the mountains slowly and be back to normal after.

    I will not change the watercolour though. I have tried different ones in the past, but this one, called the darkbluishgreenish, I will keep, it is by far the one I like most. I think it was Joerg's mod.
    Also I have been inspired by some of the other CJ's that are completely different than mine, and I liked what I saw. No, don't worry, I won't copy anything, but I have seen Lots, BATs and mods that I didn't know they existed, and I will use them in my CJ, if possible, differently than the other CJ'ers.
    Now that I am a Moderator, I took the time to snoop around in these other CJ's (haven't seen them all yet, but beware, I will with time) and I saw a lot of beautiful ideas and creations, some are amazing and some gave me ideas also to use in my CJ. So be it. If I helped some of the CJ'ers with inspiration, now they are doing it to me.(one hand washes the other)
    Btw, some darn good CJ's out there, worth visiting!44.gif

    Small update of our story:
    While Clay Wallace is sorting all his pictures and trying to figure out what goes with what, we will have a look at some of the terrains that the team encountered in the Ganoga Valley.
    First to show you that the forests were immensively dense to a point that the journey did take two weeks longer than predicted. Some of the valley distinctive forests are mixed on the lower parts of the valley.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//1Xforest.jpg align=baseline>

    Here they met the stony river that empties through a massive canyon right into the Tenzel Upper River system.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//2XStonyRiver.jpg align=baseline>

    Swamps were difficult to cross and had to be contoured many times, which also did elongate the journey. Here is a big swamp, and there's a moose on the left and a deer on the bottom, if you can see them.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//3Xswamp.jpg align=baseline>

    And many smaller so called bogs or Beaverponds were spoted in the lower wetlands of the Ganoga lake region. These areas were rich with wildlife, like we see here in the Naganik Wildlife Reserve. Clay and his friends have encountered many different species of which he took pictures and  now are all sorted out for the use of the biologists and Scientists.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//4Xswampclose.jpg align=baseline>

    Three Transport Army helicopters with more than 50 men/women aboard landed in the Naganik Wildlife Reserve to get a closer look at the Mineral Springs that Clay discovered. A team of three Holmes Security Inspectors also were present. This is probably the beginning of the end of the Scientists murders that happened many years ago.

    Timotheus was invited to the Sirius Group Investors Convention last week and he did well, getting to meet some of the most important Individuals of the  Giant Corporation, including the Big Boss, Mr Mitch Tatum. Tim was also invited in two weeks at the *Man*'s Cottage for a week end of fishing in the Bass Bay area. He was delighted and agreed right away. Will he leave his Printer's Shop to work for the Group soon?
    Jasen Howell has been making some good earnings with his Roadhouse in Cross Canyon and is about to open a Motel also. Traffic to the west is good, which is excellent for him and his wifge Roxanne. He has been lately, during the quiet evenings drawing some pictures and plans of some Roller Coasters that he just had ideas of. Actually , not many , or none at all Coasters and few Amusement parks can be found on Genesis. There is one in Gloryville, that doesn't seem to be drawing too many people yet.
    The son of the Cardealer in Grand Dam ,Shane Boxx just turned 18 and he is curious to go on his own and leaving college and his Office cleaning job for some more action, like working on the Airport in White Sands. Surprizingly right after a demand for a job in the Cargo department, he received a job. He will be leading all Cargo planes with a small tractor ,that will pull them to the hangars and docks for up- and unloading. It wasn't long and he also found a place in White Sands to live and everything was packed within hours.
    Kevin Slayer from the famous Slayer Inc, was today delivered by ambulance to the Gloryville Hospital. It is not clear what happened, but in the Hospital they confirmed that he is doing better than well and is stable. Mr Slayer is one of the older Generation left and also one of the richest men alive, now aged at 72 years old.

    And to finish it all with a look of the weekend cottage of Jim's oldest son,Kegan, who is also the big boss of Jim's Construction Co. This Cottage is on the Grand Falls' side of the Ganoga Lake, down in the valley.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//5Xchalet.jpg align=baseline>

    I will be back soon with another update, a real debate in Gloryville about the Natural Park has started and some concerns are given by the general public, not everyone is content in this City anymore.....One of the smaller leaders of this demonstrational group is Nick Ranly, only 17, but speaking loud with a voice of a 25 year old.[:0]
