Looks good, I can't wait until the zoning begins. Hopefully the worst the dust does is just make a large meteor shower that doesn't do anything but make a good light show for the people.

Well, I've read everything I've missed, and a lot has happened! All of those updates have been great!

Genesis is growing, especially since Opall is only a couple of decades away. I can't wait to see what happens when the meteor hits, and I also can't wait to see more information on the new solar sytem discovered!

RIP Miss Kitty Cat, Henry Zeddicton, and me. You will all be missed. 8.gif

Before I leave for the week-end (Mother's day), here is a small update.

We were talking about the new county that opened awhile ago to serve as a place for the temporay housing in Raging River Junction. Well, they finished the project and now everything is ready to receive the next immigrants. It only took 2 weeks to build it with several Construction Companies working on it. Everything on Genesis is now done with speed and co-operation of several Companies.
Here the newcomers will be staying until they found their new home on Genesis, usually between 1 week and a couple of months.

The village of Raging River is still small, actually very small. Situated far from the bigger civilizations, Raging River is just north of Groundhog Springs, where also the Highway 2 is, that leads to the western region and to Nexis City in the east. Most of the people that live here will work for the Temporary Housing Community.

One thing I didn't like to see in Raging River is the way they manage the  garbage disposal into the Tenzel River.-Ok, there are no railconnections yet to transport the garbage to  Stone Valley and other disposal facilities are far away also, but it is not a reason to pollute the beautiful Tenzel River. Oh boy, I will have to report this to the authorities in Gloryville, so this won't happen again. They should at least open a landfill somewhere for the moment being.

Have a nice weekend now and go tell your mother that you love her, at least this once a year! Happy Mother's Day!2.gif

Throwing trash into the river? That's a no no in my book! Think of the freshwater whales! And other sea life.

It will be great once a landfill is built!

    Here's a request :

Could you show the progress on the highway to Grand Dam. We've never see it go up to Grand Dam. I'm curious on how you did it.

I have a question. Did the super meteor hit Ulu yet or was it stopped?

If they blow it up, then there will probably be lots of smaller meteors going everywhere and causing even more trouble.

I made a complaint in Gloryville at the Regional Administration Office about the dumping garbage into the Tenzel River in Raging River, and they will have a look at it right away, they said.

cowcorn, Yes we will go back to Grand Dam in the second next update and you will see the highway construction in progress. Quite a job to get it up the steep hill and first , they had to make some room in the town for it also.( Did you get any pics of the UdeS yet?)

10Goliath...No the meteor is still on the way to Uru, now only 24 years from it. Some minor changes in the weather can be observed already on the homeplanet and the mass immigration to Genesis has started.

screamomatic, the meteor Opall cannot be blown up simply like this. It is too big and will certainly explode in all directions and cause a lot more dammage like this, maybe even put the galaxie in danger (mrbison's pooltable theory). Besides have you forgotten that the meteor is 27 times bigger than Uru?34.gif

Welcome-Bienvenue-Willkommen-Welkom- to all the newcomers to this CJ, I see some more have joined us.2.gif

Hey MrB, the second generation is really shaping up, too bad I'm not a part of it anymore... yeah, I know, I went away from Simcity for a while and forgot all about ST and NoG. I'll still be reading though, so don't slack off! 2.gif

    Cool, as always.

That looks a little bit like a concentration camp/detention centre for those people, until they get their travel permits/visas/etc rubberstamped and approved...

Again thanks for all the comments and visists from the *lurkers* (lol)21.gif
cowcorn, that's fine and much appreciated.

Since I really don't have much time to make a detailed update that I was going to do about Grand Dam and Coarseville, we will just stay a little bit more in Raging River Junction and talk about it again.Better little than nothing, right?

It didn't take time to build up this municipality in a few months only. Many people already arrived from Uru and are installed in these temporary housings. The Son of Adley Hawklyn ,Caldwell, din't take time neither to build a small shoppig Center for the service to all these people, probably he believes strongly in the futur of this township, although the area is not well suited for a big City, because of the Mountain chain that separates the Ganoga Valley from the rest of Genesis.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//3Raging%20River%20Junction-View.jpg'>https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//3Raging%20River%20Junction-View.jpg align=baseline>

Another look at the temporary housing, which are 30% filled at the moment. Some rumours are that this is only the half of what will be available as temporary housing, they also said that they were starting to get short of building material.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//4Raging%20River%20Junction-Townview.jpg'>https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//4Raging%20River%20Junction-Townview.jpg align=baseline>

This is downtown if we may call it so, with the Townhall on the left, a modern building, designed by a Gaburan Architect.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//5Raging%20River%20JDowntown.jpg'>https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//5Raging%20River%20JDowntown.jpg align=baseline>

Another picture of downtown with a lot of restaurants and other small buisnesses.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//6Raging%20River%20Junction-Stores.jpg'>https://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//6Raging%20River%20Junction-Stores.jpg align=baseline>

And a last look at the storage sheds, where a lot of the material imported from Uru, but not instantly used , are stored.
I heard that a railways is on the way and also that the Regional Administration Office in Gloryville decided to build a highway to this end of the world within the next months. Big plans for a small town are ahead. I wonder what comes next.

Timotheus was called up today in his appartment in Cedar Bay by one of the General Managers of the Serius Group ,Nexis City branch. He was called in for an interview for a part-time job with the Giant, probably working in their post opffice on floor one of the building. Let's wish him luck, that could be a start of something, who knows....

In honour of Vallen Nexis' 85th birthday that will be held in the Nexis Corporation Headquarters in Nexis City, Allan Sapporo was also invited as a guest and also to play some music for the richest man on Genesis at his party. What an honour for Allan, not only to get to play for Vallen and meet him, but also meet many other V.I.P`s of the Genesian world. Celebrities such as Alexander MacVicar and  his son Vladimir the CEO of the Genesis Standard Mines,Mr Sven and his wife Anke,Mr Swamper from Swamper signs, of which we don't hear so much lately,Mr Jim himself,Troy Nexis and his wife Sarah MacVicar and many more, not all famous and well known, will aatend the big party in Nexis City.
Miss Evermind and Mr Joao Otavio were too busy to come. This also will be quite an experience to our young Mr Sapporo.  His heart was pounding hard the last time he was seen.

I will be back later this week when I find some time to do the update of Grand Dam and Coarseville.a>
