Top-notch as always. Just goes to show you don't need flashy graphics when you can tell a story well.

    Thanks cammo 2003 and mc_hammer dude, welcome to da world o' Nexis.1.gif
    Yeah leech, a lot of stuff out there, wait 'til they're close to the new solar system in a few years.[:0]

    Ok, here's another Update for the weekend, enjoy the story:

    Before we go to Tenzel Outlet and Moose Bone, we will drop in Round Lake Junction again for just a moment.
    The last time we went there, I told you that a certain area was opened for residential zoning and that Razor Blade Logging Company got the job to clear and prepare the land for the new constructions. Not even finished with clearing and already some buildings sprouted up and the new suburbs seems to have started. Land was sold by double and triple lots to many small time (and bigger) construction Companies. But one person bought a whole bunch of lots and a bigger area also. The part here shown inside a yellow line is some 100 acres big and was sold to one person, the owner of the medium airplane fabrication Company in White Sands on the airport island, the Benson Aircraft Corporation. Mr Benson did not mention what he was going to do with it, but some rumours are that maybe a small Summer vacation camp for children and younger teens was in mind to establish in these beautiful parts of Round Lake Junction, here on the banks of the Path River.
    Some also say that Mr Benson paid a small fortune for this land. By the way, Mr Bensosn is the father of the young fellow who went to Uru for some antiques Cataloging with Norri, Chad Benson. He doesn'ty even know this yet.

    1Round%20Lakeview.jpg

    Here is a closer look at the residential condos that are being built. Some already moved in even that the terrain isn't finished yet. Right now in Atlas and Gloryville, there are 12,280 immigrants arrived from Uru last week, who are waiting to find a new home somewhere on Genesis. Many will come here to Round Lake, while others go elsewhere, like Nintendon,Three Towers and Brettville and some will end up in the bigger cities like Axis and Nexis.

    2Round%20Lake%20Constr.jpg

    That was it for the short visit to Round Lake Jct again and now we enter the world of Tenzel Outlet, Genesis' harbour. Tenzel is now governed by the Capitol Gloryville since a few years and Bolton also asked to join and which is in planning already. The last time we visited this harbour town, it spred onto the Pig's Island, where our famous Evermind Wellwisher lives. Miss Evermind owns almost a tenth of the island and the part that Ninten once owned there ,is sold to her also, since Mr Ninten now lives in a villa in his own town of Nintendon (Ninten Bay).
    Consistant of 5 islands in the mouth of the Tenzel river system that comes from the endless west, Tenzel is now one of the 10 biggest cities on Genesis and well known, just like Cedar Bay , for its Industrial Park. Many Companies have rooted here in the early years and made this a blooming town.Some of these are Jim's Construction Ltd, Smurfer Steel Corporation, Swamper Signs Co and the Harbour itself. Also here Jim started building his first mansions on his private island and made himself a name that traveled all over Genesis in a short time.

    3TenzelView.jpg

    Here is a picture of the Gazstation where Jasen McLary works for the summer, being showed the priciples of vehicule mechanics, something that he loves to do. On weekends however, Jasen disappears with some friends to Round Lake Jct, to see the weekly races there on the Otavio racestrip. That is simply a must for him.

    4Tenzel%20Outlet-GasStaion.jpg

    This is Jim's Island and the mansions that he all built many years ago. His own Mansion, in the top middle, was given to his son Kegan right after Jim finished his glorious Villa on top of the cliffs in Grand Dam, just above the Ganoga Valley. These are the homes of the very rich, a lot of V.I.P. lives here and even a privatly owned Surveillance Company was hired by the owners of these villas.

    5TenzelMansions.jpg

    Moose Bone, a little town that we all saw growing some years ago was founded with the Tim Chula's Sawmill, which later expanded and so did the town. Logging and construction on the northside of the river is now prohibited because of the rare Nuganty trees that were harvested with a quota some years ago. Now the logging has stopped for 20 years , but the sawmill continues to work with wood coming in from the neighboring townships, like Kate Springs and Midlake. (If you downloaded the two region maps as I mentioned and showed here one or two pages ago, you can now take a look at them to find these two counties.)

    6Moose-BoneView.jpg

    Here is a look at this Mega Logging Company that once was owned and founded by our late Tim Chula. Because this town is so far from civilization, many people here depend on this sawmill and its futur.

    7Moose-Bone-Town.jpg

    The sawmill offers many jobs, not too well paid but secure, and folks move in by the dozens. Construction is on a rise and some say that a big shoemaking factory wants to install itself here also. A very big Company arriving from Uru next year that hires more than 4000 labourers. That'll surely be excellent for this county's development.

    8Moose-Bone-Constr.jpg

    The quiet side of Moose Bone is in the suburbs, situated just southwest of the sawmill. Here an almost country style living can be experienced. Sometimes you even see some deer in these parts gnawing on the lawns.

    9Moose-Bone-Suburbs.jpg

    A close look at the logs coming in from the neighboring counties, only to be dried and cut and then shipped for much demanding construction Companies all over the country.

    10Moose-Bone-Lumber.jpg

    Not much of a downtown at all, since most people go to Kate Springs for their buying needs, but plans by the mayor have been made to enlargen this part of town very soon. Traffic at 5 pm ,when all the workers in the sawmill change the shift ,is somehow a little slow at these hours, a bigger and better road is now needed.

    11Moose-BoneTraffic.jpg

    Next time on Genesis, we will see Axis Harbour and visit Black Lake, plus then we will talk about all the summerjobs, which I didn't have time today to tell about.Have a nice weekend now.2.gif

    Well it's been a long time since we 've seen that part of the region. Didn't change much as some places in the real world (Moose Bone). I know it's not the first you show the sawmill but I must say how awesome it looks.44.gif

    Genesis is a virgin world... Not yet corrputed by the man (or urulian in this case)
    I wonder if there are laws controlling this logging operations. I see that there are a couple of reserves, but they aren't enough if all uru is moving to genesis

    I still don't have anything real to say. It's all said by someone already, and anyway I'm speechless in front of this amazing story.
    BUT, I'd like to know what's the reason for me still going on. Many much more important people have died away long ago but I haven't. What so good have I done? 48.gif

    This was just another popping by; I have so much other things to do that I hardly even remember ST. But it doesn't matter. You can probably expect me to show myself again after a couple of weeks.

    Bye then again! 35.gif

    What is this doing on the 3rd page? Better bump it back up!

    Do you have any pictures of the stuff outside the solar system, or is it too dark out there?
    Also, where did you find the construction lots that look just like the ground that appears when something is being construced in the game?

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//2Round%20Lake%20Constr.jpg align=absBottom>
    The stuff i am talking about is the ground next to the buildings where the construction is taking place.

    Leech, I assume mrbisonm just made them in the Lot editor. I made myself a set as well to show construction. If you haven't got the Lot Editor I suggest you get it. Those dirt lots can be made in about 30seconds. Theres also some tutorials on the site you can use, but its actually very straightforward.

    The lots you are talking about  Leech ,are Nexis Construction Filler Lots that I use in many of my pictures, and which are not on the STEX. Here you can see only 4 different types. Two of them have unique Nexis props on them.
    I am about to make a *dealpackage* of construction lots, that some of you asked for. I have about 60 of them, but I will choose only about a dozen or so and have them tweaked and then upload them later this year on the STEX.
    If you would like them now, just pm me.

    I can't get the lot editor or the BAT because simcity.com dosn't like my CD key, so I can't really make my own stuff.

    How come you have about 60 of the construction lots?

    WOW!

    I found this CJ only about a week ago, and have been spending all my spare time reading, to catch up!

    So many cool buildings!

    I know this has been asked about before, but are you considering releasing the Aspen buildings? They somehow remind me of the new apartments we seem to be getting everywhere here.

    i know you said that you weren't sure you could release them, because they are modifications to someone else's creation, but I did not see any reference to it since then.

    Leech, I have over 60 construction lots because I use them for different constructions, such as th Dam, Prison, harbour,airport, Highway, road and regular City and town constructions.
    silvrefyre, welcome to the world Nexis. Yes, I hopefully be able to upload the appartments on the STEX, but first I have to get things right (trying to find all the files needed in my plugin mess) and then get permission. I have soooo many things to do these days...34.gif

    Another Update:

    First let's go and see what Clay Wallace was up to these days. He and his friend finally made it to Titan, where the inlet of the Ganoga river is. The Ganoga river comes from the northern region, mostly fed by meltingwater from these mountains, it is very cold in temperature.
    Here from Agony Bay, Clay made it within a week to reach the banks of this cold river and a campment (redX) was set up, before the big river crossing tomorrow morning.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//1Titan-view.jpg align=baseline>

    Near the campment a small island was discovered by Clay, with strange flora and he named it in his name, Wallace Island. Again in this part of the valley, birds are all over the place and both of the fellows are wondering what they feed on to be in these great numbers all over the valley.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//2Titan-Isle.jpg align=baseline>

    Axis Harbour, once almost gone bankrupt, now slowly picking up and starting to grow again. Plans that this county may belong to Axis City one day, are in the making. Too many debts because of the former harbour have made this town somewhat too expensive to live and that could be solved with the uniting of both Cities. But is Axis City ready to take all the debts of Axis Harbour?

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//3Axis%20Harbor-overview.jpg align=baseline>

    The town itself is not bad, few commerces and hardly any industries left though. Most of the citizens work in Axis City and Tenzel Outlet, the southern neighbor.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//4Axis%20Harbor-view.jpg align=baseline>

    Some companies though are tough and survive and even some others have big plans of expansion, like this small Liquid Gaz Company that is about to build itself a small harbour.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//5Axis%20HarborNewHarbour.jpg align=baseline>

    One beautiful thing that this city has is the canal that starts here and wanders all the way up into the downtown of Axis City. The forested landstrip that accompanies the canal gives it a peaceful reputation for many people to just take a walk in the park.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//6Axis%20Harbor-Canal.jpg align=baseline>

    Now to Black Lake, both west and east, only connected by a ferry that one of them is piloted by Allan Sapporo's father. The western part was the first part, where Miss Elizabeth White once lived and then after her death it was sold to Sven, who in his turn just sold it awhile ago, only to move into his Mega Mansion in Oxalis on Megantic Mountain. On the east part of the City, nothing is going on much anymore, now that the Tim Chula Logging Company has finally closed its doors.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//7Black%20Lake-view.jpg align=baseline>

    Here is a look of the western and older part of the small country town of Black Lake, showing some smaller new residential developments on the far right.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//8Black%20Lake-town.jpg align=baseline>

    The Tim Chula Logging Company closed its doors in Black Lake. Too far from the rest of the world, it concentrated all its work now in Moose Bone where also it isn't a transport problem to bring in trees and send out boards , like it has become here. Slowly the buildings are disappearing and the Factory is dismantled, until nothing of Mr Chula's first world is gone. The house was sold to an elderly couple of Millionaires from Gloryville, they bought the whole land too.

    <ahttps://www.simtropolis.com/idealbb/files//9Black%20Lake-ChulaEmpty.jpg align=baseline>

     Other News:
    Slowly summer is coming to an end on Genesis once again and most of the students are preparing themselves for the big re-entry to the colleges and schools. Allan Sapporo has stopped playing his music in bars and restos and for the rest of his vacation he will be helping out his Dad on the ferry runs for the next week or so.
    Clay Wallace and his friend won't be back before fall from their journey through the Ganoga Valley. Noori Lecuyer and Chad Benson are back from Uru. Noori will be back to highschool soon and Chad is about to start his second year in  the Gloryville College.
    Seth Braun wasn't heard of until lately, when he registered in the Gloryville college also. He was arrested by the Holmes Security right away, since he never registered himself on the arrival with the LBST in Gloryville. Now he will be held for interogation and until his things are cleared for immigration. They say he is wanted on Uru.
    Timotheus will be going next week to the Annual Meeting (Convention) of the Sirius Group, where he was invited to come and after he will be attending the Nexis City University again to get his degree in business and marketing. He stayed very quiet this summer and I suppose he found himself one place that he seems to go regularly now, the Big Starbuck Caf

    Thanks for leaving a comment folks, it's nice to see some old faces and also some new ones.

    RHF, yes the White's home was bought by Sven , but he lived there only long enough, while his mansion on  Megantic Mountain was built. Now that his Villa is ready, he moved there and the White's house is back up for sale again. We will have a look at this villa in Oxalis in the next update.
