Looks like I am making progress... Maybe I should help Jim with buying some real estate next to my business... And a seat on the Counsel next to you and Troy...I wasn't expecting that.... This update was quite the surprise... I had no idea that I had enough money to buy land and mansion to go on that land.... You are certainly full of surprises Mr. Bison! Keep up the great work!

 

Sorry for ending my sentences with ..., but I am in awe and wonder when I am reading each update. You should write a novel of this entire CJ after it is finished...

I really enjoy this great CJ and the last update gave some interesting information on Miss Kitty Cats (my) farm. Still some secrets to explore there...

I love this CJ so much I hardly ever comment - because I'm so darn jealous!!!!!!!! The attention to detail is incredible - something which I try also but, alas, this is so much better. The storyline is fantastic, and the pictures fit the story so well. By that I mean that your CJ is unique in my opinion in that you seem to have the story ready in mind and THEN build your city to support it - very difficult when you bear in mind that you never quite know how a city is going to develop when you zone, etc - unless you are a real pro.

 

Keep it up - it's inspiring stuff.

Here we go again. A bit slower, but I am very busy at this moment with my work

and also with the beautiful weather, which calls me out ever now and then.....

 

This will be a big update, because I won't be back until Monday. 18 pictures in

all with a lot of *Story* to read.

 

Let's start with Rico Az's City, Axis South. There will be an election for mayor

soon again, let's hope for Rico that he stays. Mr Night, our well known

lawyer,finally made it possible for Mayor Rico to get rid of his garbage problem.

A contract with the Gloryville Regional Administration Office has been signed to

accept all the garbage coming from Axis City in a new township called

Rock-Valley. A railway will be build near the former garbage disposals and then

everything will be shipped to Rock-Valley by train. It is expensive , but Mayor

Rico had an excellent idea of buying the garbage from Axis City's Mayor Ciroyon

and charge him a price , so Axis South can have some profit and pay less for

their garbage to be shipped to Rock-Valley.
Rico still has his appartment block and also still lives there, by the river, but

now he is getting older, (Like all of us),and he is looking for a quieter place,

maybe a house near the river.- His Television Station in Gloryville is doing just

fine and Mr Az is thinking of some Movie-making, something he always wanted to

do. The Movie will be about the pioneers arriving on Genesis and the first

contact with the Gabulan from Mahoon, Oriol. It will be more of a historical

movie, but certainly interesting for those who don't know all the details of this

story. Who knows, maybe this will be the first Nexian Blockbuster...?

 

Since the LBST (Laser Beam Space Traveler) has been repaired by Joao Otavio and

is back on line for the traveling from Uru to Genesis, many immigrants will soon

arrive and Axis South has been applied for more than a thousand new residents. Mr

Vegetable, the famous City Planner, and his Associates have made a plan for the

massive expansion of Axis South, as you can see on the picture.* This plan should

be good for the next 30,000 immigrants or so* Mr Vegetable stated during the

City's counsel meeting.

 

Another township that MrVegetable and his Company are working on ,is the East

expansion of Nexis City . Actually it is a different township, but governed by

Nexis City.- Plans that Mr Vegetable did awhile ago, now are being put to action

and already after 9 months, one could say that this is a small village doing

quite well.-Getting the water from Nexis City at the moment, Rilian is working

hard to out his hands on the new water supply offer. He wants it badly and made

an offer to the Nexis Mayor, that he cannot refuse. Soon Rilian will build his

water supply Company here in East Nexis.

Still in Nexis East , I saw one of Jim's Company trucks out there, meaning

probably that some of his employees are working in this area too. Jim himself was

working to build his own mansion in Tenzel Outlet, the last time I heard from

him.

Stone-Valley, the new garbage disposal township, is south of Coarseville. Land

preparations have started, also the road is already layed and now the rails will

follow and then the construction of the Burning facility will begin.This township

has been chosen, because of the main winds are always going to the opposite

direction of the civilized area of Genesis. Some of Coarseville's population

didn't like the idea of having a garbage disposer as a neighbor, but the Regional

Administration Office in Gloryville garanteed clean air for Coarseville for the

next 500 years at least. This burning facility will not have a big negative

impact on Nature, but will produce energy for Coarseville and Black Lake to use

for little cost.- In a couple of years, a law will be made that this Valley will

be the only Location of Garbage disposal in the Genesis Region.

Now let's go to Axis City for a moment and have a look at the new Downtown that

is slowly forming in the north of the City. This is where Sven made his first

investment, his shopping Mall ,where the Hawklyn Farms and also Miss Kitty Cat's

farm sell their products. The Mall is doing fine, so well that Sven is thinking 

of selling it, while it is at its best. Sven has some plans to buy half a new

township on the sea to do some development there. With all the immigrants coming

in from Uru now, he thinks this could become the deal of his life.

Near downtown Gloryville Tim has finished the Space Station Museum Project that

he managed for the Nexis Corporation. Now that he earned a lot of money with

these two Space Station Projects,he will be able to do what he always wanted to

do, open a manufacturing plant for spaceship drives and engines of his own.

Knowing how by now, he won't have any problems starting his new Company.Tim only

wonders now , where.....

The Space Station Museum at night. This Space Station is a replica of the one in

Space that Evermind is finishing at the moment. It is not as functional as the

original, also it is a lot more solid and has not been built with the same

materials, since on ground it needs to be more stable for all the visitors to

hold. On weekdays it is open to the schools,Colleges and Universities, and on the

weekend it is open to the general public. Here you will get a very good idea of

what Space life is like.- It takes like 2 good hours to visit it all with its

200+ feet length. The entrance cost profits goes to the Nexis Corporation for

another project soon to be born, but no one really knows what it will be yet.

East of Gloryville, the City opened another township under the gouverning of

Gloryville. White Sands, because of its sandy white beaches and islands, will

soon begin to have a residential developpment for the Urulian Immigrants to come.
A bridge, already ordered from Troy Nexis' wife Noyita, will connect the Mainland

with the famous Oxalis Island, which in its turn connects to the Megantic

Mountain, easily seen even from Grand Dam. The Regional Administration Office in

Gloryville has special plans for Megantic and parts of Oxalis, both on the same

Island. It should become a place entirly for Tourism. Situated in the middle of

the Sea bay, this island has a slightly different climate than the mainland, and

as proven by Barby, it has some sort of healing abilities in its air. Barby was

the one that suspected it earlier and with the help from the Laboratory in Axis

City, where Vatt works, it was proven. So, Barby was the first to buy some land

near the foot of the mountain and opened the eyes for the Rulers, that this place

has a lot of possibilities.
Vatt,the director of the Scientific Researchers Institution of Axis, has been

working on this for the last year, to find out the exact reason of this strange

healing abilities, without any results yet.

Also near the other Island of White Sands, Crow Island,Vallen Nexis took a

picture of a giant whale in the dark water of the sea, the biggest one yet, while

he flew over this area to see, if he would need to buy some property there too.

Judging from the picture, the exact size is not quite certain, but shown to the

biologists, they were simply amazed to a point, that they made a demand for

constructing a Sea-laboratory near the Crow Island to study more of the sealife

organisms of Genesis, which has not really been researched yet.
The last whales were seen near the Nexis Islands and this is a gigantic

freshwater system, but this whale was seen in the salty sea. Are they different

species? Or can they live both in fresh and saltwater? These are the questions to

be answered by the biologists soon.

MrNight from Stormy Night Law Offices in Grand Dam, has made a little fortune

with the solution of the Axis South Garbage problem, that he has build himself a

nice little Mansion near the Dammed (not damned) Lake in the same town.The only

way to see his mansion is when you climb the touristic tower nearby.Now

considered as one of the richest personalities around, Mr Night has applied for a

seat in the Genesis counsel.

Now some bad news....
In Treeland flat lands last week, a Toronado has made some damages to some of the

farms. Considered as a F5 strong Toronado, it lasted only for a few minutes, a

chance for the rest of the comunity of Treeland.*It was like god's finger

stroking the countryside* one farmer told the journalist.

One of the farms destroyed by the toronado, is Dr Evel's farm with everything

around it. When I drove by, I didn't believe my eyes the damage that this

toronado caused. Actually nothing was left to see, even on some places the lawn

was gone! Dr Evel was busy at this time in Nexis City serving his favourite

customers, Troy Nexis and his Father Vallen. Luckily for him, but some of his

farmhelpers are still missing.
Having lost everything on his farm, Dr Evel was not discouraged. His farm was

very well insured, he told.

The next week after the storm, Dr Evel went on a spending spree, buying very

expensive land in New Sholes and in the middle of downtown Gloryville, just in

front of MrVegetable's Office,to open two more of his Starbuck's Caf

Well Ma8thew....don't feel left out please. Many are in the same stage as you at the moment, Your *Moment of Glory* has not come yet, even if you were one of the first to apply. I'll promiss that everyone will have their part of being famous and known , plus be talked about a lot sometime as others.

You see , with over 30 participants to write about, one has to be patient with me.--- We will surely have a great story about you  (soon that is), Wren Trey, our Electronics Salesman.

 

First I have to advance the story of Troy Nexis first, because you (Wren Trey) are depending on him to supply you with computer materials.

 

And that goes for others too, which  have not been mentioned too often up to date.

 

Some already have had their moments, like Macvicar, Smurfer, Mr Night and others, but now their lifes will calm down a bit, without meaning that I will stop mentioning them, I will continue once every while or so. Now it 'll be the turn of some others to be put on the pedestrial and enjoy their *Moment of Glory*.

Well, ive been gone again for around ten days to Hawii- I mean, Nexis Islands for a peacefull retreat and some whale-whatching and it inspired my plans for my ships.......

I am trying to get through some legalities so I can produce a silicone based plastic, which I have called siliplex, and have also found a better and more stable concrete, mixed with this same plastic and haved used it for the flooring where there will be almost 20,000 tons of pure steel placed at once.

The deal with Smurfer Steel has been sent in, and I hope it will go thru.

This is by far one of the most original cj's I've ever seen. And it's really an epic story too! It's quite an accomplishment to update a cj 25 pages long! I haven't read all of it, but after I've passed some exams by the end of the month, I'll read every single word of it;

For now, there's one question I really need an answer to: in the first pages of your journal you show some terrain-pics. On some of them, you see a swamp-like terrain, with trees and bushes growing in the water; I was wondering, how did you do that? Forgive me if this question's been asked before

utora, I have a lot of mods somewhere in my pluginfolder, probably as many as one can have, but I have no idea which is what and does what... Confused? Well, that's how I feel about these mods....lol

 

I think........I did a lot of terrain lifting, ...I mean like bringing the land high enough so trees will not grow anymore, and only bushes appear.....

.....then I did some shallow digging to create a pond or lake like area, where I did some tree planting  (bushplanting that is) on.

Later I got the Rain-mod from this site : http://www.teirusu.net/

and filled it with water, which made this kind of terrain that you saw in my CJ.....again I think that's what I did,at least that's the most logical thing.

 

Honestly, I am kinda lost with all these mods. I know how they function, but I don't know what they are.....I know it sounds like nonsens, but that 's what it is.

What also looks very realistic is what I use in my cj: waterflora mod (which makes the water transparent) in combination with Joerg's waterpack (caribbean blue setting); This makes the water look almost like a holiday pic! And it's realistic too, because you can see the the seebottom, with slidely different shades of blue. If you use only Joerg's setting, the water looks too much like in a cartoon i think

Anyway, thanx for your reply and i will surely read the entire story soon! I made a start with it a few months ago, and read all about the planet's erliest days, but somehow I lost track of the story, although it has always remained tempting to me.

O, and btw, if you feel like it, take a look at my cj! I'm very curious about your meaning (since you know the game through and through and design your own lots as well)

utora: Yes I know the gizmo's transparent watermod with the flora and if you would have read the story all, you would have seen it in some of my townships, mostly freshwater though. -As soon as I can I will drop a note in your journal.

 

drevilehenchman: Dr Evel will build 2 new Starbucks, one in Gloryville and another in New Sholes. The one in Gloryville will become the biggest one, that's why he bought a big lot there too.

 

nyoe: welcome to my CJ. Yes I use a lot of unique lots and some BATs in my CJ and most of them aren't available for download publically, but if anyone wants some, all you have to do is pm me and I will send them.

The second question isn't very clear to me, but I think you meant the water mod from teirusu, with this you can make the waterheight as low or high as you wish  and even make little lakes, like I have , in the mountains, but one thing though, it does not save and you have to do it all over again everytime you enter the City.

Don't worry about your english problems, my english ain't that good neither, since I was born in Sweden, raised in Germany and live in French Canada, so english is only my 4th language used. No need to excuse yourself. I'm sure your chinese is better than mine...lol

 

While we are at it, let's have a mini update , but without pictures:

Dan, our teacher from Nexis City finally convinced the Schoolboard to do something about the poor educational system on Genesis, and here is what he proposed. An University in Gloryville, Colleges in Axis and another one,but mostly for agronomy  and agricultural educations, in Treeland, since we need more agriculture, with all the new immigrants coming soon from Uru. Highschools in Tenzel, Axis South,Grand Dam and New Sholes would be easily available for most municipalities and of course Elementary Schools in every township that has a population of more than 1000 permanent residents. It has been proven that some more distant municipalities have a lower IQ, such as Black Lake and Coarseville.So, this would make a good boost for the IQ all over the region.-- The School commision board accepted the idea of Dan and the best part is , that Dan was offered the job of directing this new System, the Genesis Educational Comission. Dan was stunned to have offered this honor and he will make his decision soon.

Security in some of our townships have improved a lot and statistics show that Genesis Security Services has a lot to do with this. Where ever Holmes Security is present , the crime rates are low or non-existant.Bolton, where the present Main office is situated for the moment, has the lowest crimerate of them all. No crime reported since Sherlock Holmes moved in.- Now these statistics were read by the Rulers and they decided to have Holmes Security introduced in other townships, such as Nexis City, Grand Dam and Tenzel, plus maybe have a department of these Security services that will concentrate on some countryparts , such as Treeland and Coarseville. Negociations  between the Regional Administration Office and Mr Sherlock Holmes himself have started and we will keep an eye on these results. The local Police in Tenzel did not quite agree with the idea to have a Security office snooping in around their territory. Will this become a small war between between these two * Peace Makers*?

Brett, our Commercial Building Designer, still in his small  office in Gloryville, has given a big job this time, the First Commercial Bank of Genesis' Main Office, which is supposed to be build in Axis next year. His biggest contract yet , a 78 story high Office building. Brett just freaked out, when the Bank folks aggreed to his offer. Right after the news , he drove to his countryhome and started dreaming of this new challenge.

 

In the next update we will talk about Rilian's new *Aquaserver*,have a look at what Brett and Vatt are up to and also talk to Joao Otavio and him being offered the Medal of Genesis Star, the highest medal ever distributed to someone.

Update again, a little bigger than the last one and also some pictures included.

 

Vatt,the fellow that was working as a Park guard in the Natural Park in Gloryville in the beginning, then gotten into the college to study some chemistry and general science, working later as a team-leader in a Laboratory in Axis City, and at the latest , he was reported to be working on the Oxalis Project to prove that the Island had healing abilities....was today asked for an interview with the Chief of Scientists on the Atlas Army Base.
The interview was long, he said back home to his friends, and he was offered the job to become the Director of the Genesis Scientific Research Center in Atlas in the Nexis building.
Now, Vatt is a little lost with all these offers and responsabilities that he will get. He asked for a 48 hrs thinking period, before acceptimg the job.
Under his authority he will be directing severel departments, such as the Space research program , the whale and sea research,Oxalis Island research and also he will be leading the department of the Research-defense commission.
This is a Giant step for Vatt, but he was chosen, since honest and excellent scientists are hard to get by, and he was the only one eligible for this found by the Rulers.
*Good Grief* he said to his team back in Axis City when they asked how the interview went.* I feel like I got shot with a cannon*.

 

 

In East-Nexis, Rilian got the contract for the watersupply, and it wasn't long that he had built his Watertower and also his invention , the *Aquaserver*, a powerful pump that will later get the water from Grand Dam and distribute it all over Genesis. But first a pipeline through the lake has to be laid to reach Grand Dam. Then it will connect with the Mainpipe there and the water will be *sucked* to East Nexis, where it will be filtered and made available for the public through he regular waterworks. Later another pipeline will be layed to New Sholes, from where it will be distributed into every township. Rilian has already everything drawn his futur projects on paper. The hardest job is to get the pipeline to Grand Dam, which will take all his money out of his banking account. Hoping that it 'll work out as he plans.

One of the biggest Police Operation on Genesis was finalized this morning after having worked on it for almost one year. The Police Department from Tenzel Outlet was working on catching an organization of car thiefs. 22 Arrest were made all over Tenzel,Axis City and Gloryville, even one in Axis South and one in Black Lake. These thiefs have been working as a very organized team and selling vehicules of great value to the Northern Region.
Two of the thiefs were caught in Axis City this morning, which told the Police everything they wanted to know, and twenty other arrests were made at noon, right after.
Once again the Tenzel Police Department has proven that Tenzel Outlet doesn't need the Holmes Security Service in  their township and neighbors.
Sherlock IV,the Owner of Holmes Security Services only replied with three words in an interview with the Local TV Station......: *They were lucky*.

As we found out last week, Brett was given a big job, building his first skyscraper, the First Commercial Bank of Genesis. Preparation of the terrain has started earlier today as Brett with his white construction hat,directed the bulldozers into the right direction to begin the leveling and digging of the futur site. It will become the highest building in the Capitol. I personally saw his plans and they amazed me.
Construction of this Giant will be finished in the beginning of next year.- Already the plans have gone through several hands and Gouverment departments and many people will follow this construction with eagerness and curiosity, including the Rulers. In the Newspaper, they are talking about Brett and the Commercial Bank almost every day now.

Also today in Gloryville's Regional Administration Office, was the honoring of Joao Otavio, who received the first *Medal of the Genesis Star* this afternoon, for the repairing and bringing it back online of the LBST system, which will officially start working again tomorrow at 13:00 hoursc .Because of him the immigration from Uru will speed up back to ten times now.
Tommorow Joao will witness the first arrivals from  Uru, and after he will flee to his favourite past-time,the illegal street-racing in Round Lake Junction, only to spend a week of vacation there, before he will be send back to Uru once again. This time , he was ordered to work with the scientists over there, that believe something could be done to avoid the Meteor making such a mess as was believed before. Uru won't be saved, but maybe the Meteor Opall won't re-arrange the whole solar system as it is frightened to do so. Let's not forget the Giant size of the meteor.

Jim, our fellow that hardly survived a car accident earlier this year, has finally been working for himself, with constructing his mansion last month and now building his Office and Warehouse in the middle of Tenzel Outlet's downtown. Swamper himself found him a good terrain, just behind his Company. Called officially as Sampson Construction, but better known on Genesis as Jim's Construction ,Swamper signs made the sign for his Company in Jim's name. Jim is satisfied now, and construction will be better organized from now on, instead of having his material here and there.

 

As time advances, everyone is getting older, most of them are in their late 30's by now, except for the younger ones, such as Miss Kitty Cat,Owen Sheppard and Sven who are still in their late twenties. A few are already in their early 40's, such as Rico, Elizabeth White and Smurfer.
Some have married,have kids or are still single, but we will not interfere with their private lifes, so we will not talk about this in our CJ at all. Just let Your imagination continue this part of the story.
Vallen Nexis is 66 now, his son Troy is 41, so is Troy's wife Noyita. Huber Sims, the Owner of the Razor Blade Logging Industries had his 70th birthday lately and will be giving his command to his sons soon. Kay Sims and Billy Sims will be taking over before the end of the year.-Col T.Jerter, the General in Atlas is now 55 and Freddy Bison is in the same agerange too.And Ciroyon , our Ambassador from Mahoon and Axis City's Mayor is 69.
Soon, some of our heros or heros still to become ,will slowly take their retreat and retire of their work and one day they also will fade away as nature had it planned from the beginning.

They cannot and will never be replaced, but others will continue their work and dreams and new ones will be talked about.
Everyone of them will be remembered here in this Journal.

 

But this is still many years ahead........

 

In the next update we will talk about Opall, our Meteor back near Uru,an unbelievable new discovery on Verto , the green planet. With help of *Black Eye* (the Giant Telescope on Space Station Nexis One) they discovered a crashed Spacecraft, maybe G-Spacer II, which disappeared many years ago? Also we have a look at the lifes of  Ninten, Wren Trey and Jade Nexis, son of Troy, plus Vallen Nexis has done it again, spending Millions of

A small update...........

 

Opall is only approximately  75 years from Uru and some effects are already visible, such as the tide being more powerful everytime, and also the nights are not as dark before, since Opall reflects a lot of light from Solaris.

The trajectory is still in the same direction and the Meteor will not hit directly the planet Uru , but close enough to absorb it into its route towards nowhere.

Joao Otavio was sent to Uru to work with the scientists to figure out what exactly the effect of the impact will do to the Soplar system. Maybe with some powerful explosions, some could be changed, so that not the whole System will suffer of its destruction.

Joao left this morning on the first trip to Uru through the LBST that he put back online, to also prove the population that there is no danger traveling the Light-beam.

Also in the news this morning, some of my friends saw Rilian and Owen Sheppard talking seriously about something in a corner of the DrEvel's Starbuck Caf
