Adley, the mountaintop is a park, no one (including you) can build there, but don't worry , I have a nice spot for you in reserve.19.gif
    slayerovsims, balloons??????lol...what's next?34.gif
MadTV_Freak, the meteor, Opall called , is still on the way to Uru and it didn't change direction, if you would have read all, you would know that I slowed down the time a bit, since we have accepted personalities.I will talk about Opall soon , Uru too.2.gif
Ninten1, an extra Power plant is in the plans at the moment.1.gif
brett_131, no worry, Your first tower is historical now!44.gif
Before we are going to visit Three Towers and Tenzel Outlet, we'll have a look at Rilians idea of solving the waterproblem from Grand Dam and the tunnel opening in Nexis City.

Instead of counting on Grand Dam for his watersupply, what it probably couldn't do anyways, as we saw earlier, Rilian Waterworks applied the big budget on this one. A Giant water reserve tank which gets its water from deep below, like 600 feet underground (approx.200m).
Rilian has made it to the top 10 in manufacturing buissnesses on Genesis, and that's only a beginning, since he plans to supply water to the whole region one day. Swamper signs is doing some publicity signs for him at the moment.
MacVicar Mines, Smurfer Steel,Tiel Oil,Razor Blade Logging, Slayer inc and many others have already applied for a connection to Rilian's Waterworks and Piping systems.
This here is the Mainpumps and tank, with the Main connections and also Bottle productions. This is right here in Nexis City near the brand new Highway 3.

    /idealbb/files/1NexisCityRilian
From here within these buildings, several massive 400 horsepower pumps are working 24 hrs/day to pump up clean and cold water from 600 feet below and to store it in this Giant many million Gallon Tank. From here on ,the water will be filtered and then shipped through another pumping system ,in the middle bottom building ,to the main pipes which will lead to different municipalities.
Now completely endebted , Rilian will build some piping to new townships with the last owned Simoleons, to make a living. I am personally not afraifd of him, he will handle this quite easily.
    /idealbb/files/2NexisCityRilian
Still in Nexis City, the tunnel in the mountain range was finally finished, and another smaller tunnel was dug to join the other side of Nexis City, where the Marina is. Short tunnel though. It didn't take long and some small shops have installed themself close to the tunnel. Also a large rest area was constructed, before entering the long drive through the dark mountain.
    /idealbb/files/3NexisCityTunnelsFini.jpg
The Tunnel entance was reinforcrd with big rocks and was built higher than ground, to insure that the water ,in case of inondations, won't penetrate the tunnel.
    /idealbb/files/4NexisCityTunnels.jpg
This is the exit of the tunnel, close to the next township of Cedar Bay. They have made the connections and also are already working there in Cedar Bay to have the bridge built, which comes from this Nexis Island to the Mainland, where they want to open another manufacturing town very soon. 2230 Urulians immigrants are awaited in the next month.
    /idealbb/files/5NexisCityTunnelsOutlet.jpg

I might not be here on the weekend, all depending on the weather though,so......if I won't post, I will be back in the beginning of next week. --- Please tell me more places that you want to see, even those which are not opened yet , we can visit.

    Have a nice weekend!2.gif

Oh, and who are the rulers on Genesis?

I knew that the balloon part would catch your eye!
I was only spicing up my post, since its mostly technical stuff I talk about anyway...
O well! Hope that Your journal never becomes boring! (Was that a beach ball in that tank???)

i would suggest putting an on/off ramp at the tunnel entry, so the sims can access and use the rest area.

superchad, there is a on/off ramp on the highway, just before the overpass we see here, it is just not on the picture. I will show it the next time.
slayerovsims, me too I hope that I don't run out of ideas and this Cj becomes boring......it is not, I hope?

Sorry to disappoint you all, that is not a beach ball nor the umbrella that wild_horse lost. It is a *Floater*.
That is a floating Surface-filter-device that will keep the surface free from dust and other particles. Just floating and pumping in all the dirt. Once filled with dirt, it will send a signal to the Master computer, and workers will connect a vacuum pipe and empty it. It's a part of Nexian Technology

...hey....don't forget, we are on Genesis with former Urulians, that never met humanoids before, as a matter of fact, they don't even know that we exist......15.gif

    Got you there, didn't I ?9.gif

I went to the Simonolis Pub last night, the place where I get most of my news and rumours from. A lot of people gather here on a Friday and Saturday night, just to start rumours and even tell the true stories once in awhile. So, while sipping on my dark Urulian Beer, I overheard someone talking about one of our well known personalities, Rilian. That caught my attention and I asked him out with all my curiousity.
So, this is what O got from him: He (the stranger) once was driving on a road to nowhere, just curious to find out where the road was leading and at the end, he met Rilian, who just got up from a deep mine that was his.Talking to Rilian, he found out that he still follows his past-time passionly, collecting precious stones and metals, which he always was a specialist (remember he found the biggest transparent Gold stone for the Oriole statue in Fallow Canyon).
Rilian built this small mine that I took a picture of, when I borrowed Vallen's small airplane. It is in Bolton on a dead-end road towards the hills.
Remember that he once owned a jewelerystore in Nexis City, that he sold to get his money to start his waterworks? Well, he still does some collecting of the transparent gold and some precious stones, and sells his finds to that jeweler. And his mine (he is supposed to have 6 of them on Genesis) is supporting him financially with his waterworks. So now, I understand why Rilian does not have any bankloans and doesn't owe anything to anyone. He is financing the waterworks entirely with his precious stones and metals, which are his part-time passion.

    /idealbb/files/Bolton-Rilian'sMine.JPG

Now, let's talk about the Rulers a bit. There are 11 of them, who makes the grand circle of Rulers. These are the last to decide, what the counsel of 60 recommend. The Grand Ruler, who always has the last word and is the most important and respected person on Genesis, is the son of Grand Ruler Orcx, Himo Orcx, in his late 80's now. He has been at his post for the last 40 years and still has another 10 to go. Elections are only every dozen years . Then there are 10 Rulers, (elections are every 6 years) which we will not mention, not to go into these details (too much for me and this CJ), but one of them is the well known Vallen Nexis, Owner and CEO of the Nexis Corporation, and of course the richest man on Genesis and Uru combined.-- The other ones we don't know, but if there are changes, I will notify you. There are some elections on the Rulerboard soon. Only the counsels (60) can vote a Ruler.

The year is 89 bN ( before Nexis).
We will, in the near future , talk about Opall, Mahoon and other planets of our Solaris system. Many voyages have been planned, Tim and Evermind are working on this, also many discoveries have been found, Joao Otavio will have a Press meeting on this soon, too.

Nothing has been forgotten, just remember we are at a slower speed at this time, because of the individual personalities we talk about.

    Have a nice day.....2.gif

Here is the first visit to one of our readers' suggestion. This is a special visit to Three Towers.

Named after the three peaks on the mountain range nearby, settlers arrived here in the earlier years ,and after a serious dispute between two Leaders, the settlement was devided into two villages. Today , it is still separated by the Nexis River, but under the governing of one mayorship.

Situated south of Whitesands and north of Fallow Canyon, where the first contact with Oriole, the Gaburan, was made,it is close to the sea, where the Nexis river meets the salty waters. Most of the citizens here, work in Gloryville , the Capitol, only about 40 minutes to the north-east.Only some stay to work here or work in the neighboring municipality in Atlas, west of here. The township of Three Towers, as mentioned before, was separated in the early years into the North section and the south section, which is clearly visible on this picture.

    /idealbb/files/1GenesisThreeTowers.jpg
Near the South section of the town, the river forks into two, just before it ends up into the sea.
    /idealbb/files/2ThreeTowers-GenView.jpg
From both parts of Three Towers, one can see the three Peaks of the small mountain range, that hover over the Nexis Riverbanks. These three peaks are somewhat in a large circle, which concludes the early existance of a gigantic volcano many hundreds of milleniums ago.(go back to page one or two). This is where the landmass of this planet all started.
    /idealbb/files/3ThreeTowers-BirdsviewNorth.jpg
The same view as above , but seen from the southside, where we easily can see the separation of the river.
Two of our Genesis personalities live here. One of them is Henry Zeddicton ( now 34 y.o.), who owns a computer store in Axis City. Soon we will hear more about him in this Cj. Henry sold his older home in the Northpart of the town to a construction enterprise that builds appartment blocks. He received a fair offer and had built himself a newer and bigger home in the same part, but this time near the river.
    /idealbb/files/4ThreeTowers-BirdsviewSouth.jpg
Almost a mansion, Mr Zeddicton is quite proud of his new acquisition with a private road.
    /idealbb/files/5ThreeTowers-NewHomeZeddic.jpg
In the southern part of Three Towers, a gift from the Gaburan Government was constructed right at the entrance of the town, just over the bridge. This lighthouse, which is Gaburan Architecture is a Landmark, that many have visited and with this building,Three Towers has survived the hard times by receiving a lot of tourists, which kept buissnesses alive, protected in the north by the three peaks.
    /idealbb/files/6ThreeTowersEntrance.jpg
Today Three Towers has become more or less self-sufficient.

    Residents:.......8209
    Commercial jobs:.1389
Industrial jobs:..459, which are mostly in the Northpart.

Here is a night picture of the northern Downtown, this is also where the only Movie theater in this area is. Even Miss Elizabeth White comes here to see her favourite films.
Thanks to Dan, the regional School Director, both north and south sections of Three Towers have an Elementary School. For the Highschool, regular buses will pick the teenagers for the trip to Gloryville, only about 40 minutes away.
    /idealbb/files/7ThreeTowersnightlife.jpg
The second personality living in Three Towers, and in the southern section, is Joao Otavio (now 32 y.o.) our replacement Genius for Daight Nexis' LBST. He is right now on Uru on a secret project to handle the impact of the meteor Opall that will happen in 75 years or so. He didn't come home often lately and he doesn't even know that a  giant pharmaceutical laboratory has been built behind his home and some new residents that invaded his frontlawn , so to speak. This laboratory was the best thing that happened to Three Towers lately.
Also here in the southpart live the Mayor of the two sections of Three Towers.- From here, the road continues to the Oriols park and memory statue in Fallow Canyon. This helps this towns, with thousands of visitors going through to see the statue of Oriole in the neighboring township.
    /idealbb/files/8ThreeTowers-SouthTownview.jpg
Here is a general view of the entire Northpart, where Henry lives with many appartment blocks for all the residents that like the countrystyle living, but having the Genesis Capitol nearby to work.
    /idealbb/files/9ThreeTowers-NorthTownview.jpg

So this was the updated story of Three Rivers, not really a town with a big future, but a quiet and clean place to live.

The next time we will have a look at Tenzel Harbour, as another of our readers has suggested earlier. We still take suggestions of other townships, just tell me where to go and have a serious look around.

    Have a nice evening1.gif

Wow, what an update! I never knew that those mountains were part of those funky mountains from the begining!
I do indeed have a(another) suggestion! Maybe we could take a look at the Macvicar mines and all the development! I would really love to see how coarseville is progressing! Some rumors have reached my ears that all my demand is causing a worker crisis, which I personally dont want, and Im sure that smurfer steel wouldnt want either!8.gif

On a sad note today, A worker for my project was working on the top of my ship placing the air-tight skin, when he fell through a gap and landed in the ships storage facility 300 meters below!
The man's family is requesting a settlement which i will personally se to myself...41.gif

in order to solve the grand dam power problem, you could put wind power plants up there, and when the dam is full, you could underfund them or make extra electricity.

slayerovsims....so be it, we will take Coarseville under a serious look soon.

superchad, I have no idea what they are up to at the moment in Grand Dam to compensate for the low waterlevel and electricity production, but  I heard that Owen Shepherd is trying to convince the direction of the Dam to keep the pipes open at maximum, even when the waterlevel is low, because he thinks that aserious problem could occur, when the snow in the mountains melt too fast.- The warm weather is late. And it is the warm weather that smelts the snow near Icelake and fills the river and then the dam to its max, usually in late April, but now it is the end of May already. The melting should soon start, it is impossible that it will still another month. So.....they are waiting......and I am too.
But why is Owen putting so much pressure on the direction to keep the pipes open....when the water we get is still so precious?

Anyway, I will keep an eye on Grand Dam, even when we have a look at Tenzel Outlet tomorrow.2.gif

I must say, that the system failure must have been in the Slayer's Inc factory only, because no where on Genesis anything failed yet. At least not what I heard of.
It must have been a big failure too, since Slayer himself is causing panic all around.
I personally talked to Owen Sheppard, responsable for the piping systems in Grand Dam and he told me that electricity won't fail now, nor soon.
He told me only that he has arguments with the Direction of the electricity producing Company, whether or not to leave the valves open at maximum, because Owen says, that it might be dangerous to close most of the valves at this time, when a heavy melting of the snow is soon to be expected. This might cause the Dam to fill up too rapidly and then burst some of the valves, which then could cause some minor inondations below or even a dam break......If that should happen, then we won't just have an electricity problem. But whoa!....Let's not panic, ok?
The direction sees it differently, because they say that the melting will come slowly and there won't be any danger of overfilling the dam anyways. Since Mr Shepherd is only responsable for the piping system and not for the Company, he is not able to do anything to change this. Maybe he is overdoing things too.
So.....the panic of Slayer Inc, which is making others nervous, is of no concern for the moment. Probably having problems with some underproducing electricity converters and generators in his factory, probably caused  by a rat stuck somewhere in the electronic parts. Only Mr Slayer himself can explain what happened at his factory, once he found the problem and calmed down.
Even the Grand Ruler himself assured the population on Tv and in the press that Grand Dam does not and will not have a problem.

evermind, it will only be me who tells the story, but our personalities can participate also in their *personal* ways up to a certain point. All major (or less major) events must though be approved by me first, before we start all kinds of rumours here on Genesis.

Thank you MrCinatit, that is appreciated and I am glad you enjoy the adventure.

Jim, congrats on your family, I will take note of this and might mention it once in awhile. Also Adley Hawklyn also has a wife now.

I'll be back later today with Tenzel Outlet, as ninten1 suggested , to have a good look around. And then we will go to Grand Falls, not yet colonized, as fgottes demanded.  1.gifSee ya all then.....

Yesterday was Three Towers turn, today we will have a look at Tenzel Outlet, the first harbour on Genesis.

Tenzel Outlet was the fourth municipality formed on Genesis and once hoped for to become a Giant harbor city, which has not come true yet. When Axis harbour was built , it blocked many roads to Tenzel's futur.- Although Axis harbour is much bigger, Tenzel never was abandonned as some would have thought.
As we can see here, it is close to Gloryville in the south (the Capitol) and also close to Axis South in the west.
Tenzel is the outlet of the Tenzel River system that comes from the Nexis Lakes and also from the Grand Dam and Round Lake Junction, meaning many rivers connecting to this outlet into the sea. All the water here in Tenzel Outlet is salwater.
Tenzel Outlet signed a political agreement last month, to join Gloryville in its administration and governing, meaning, starting in 2 years, Tenzel will belong to Gloryville and both of them will become one, called Gloryville and Tenzel Harbour.

    /idealbb/files/1GenesisTenzel.JPG
As we can see from this  General view of the Tenzel township, the municipality is made of 5 islands and the mainland. The bigger Island ,called Pig's Island, is reserved for zoning later on, but the samller 3 islands left are supposed to stay virgin, as the Regional Administration Office in the Capitol mentioned earlier.
Tenzel is the home of many of our personalities, also the home of one of the richest members, Smufer(37 y.o.)

Smurfer Steel LTD is located on the shores of Tenzel, close to the industriual Sector. Producing the finest Steel and metals around,it receives the ore from the MacVicar Mines in Coarseville. After refining , Smurfer ltd is supplying the well known Slayer Inc that produces spacecraft engines, pods etc, mostly for other regions and also for the Nexis Corp (space division). Also smurfer steel is on demand from other Companies , such as Nexis Corp, Nexis Electronics, NRS ( nexis Railway systems and the Lyll bridges Inc.- Mr Smurfer himself lives in Smurfmind now. Also important members are Jim (39 y.o.) and Swamper (37 y.o.) (. Jim, from Jim Constructions
or known also as Sampson Constructions Inc,owns a big part of the harbour Island, where he also has his mansion, with a great view of the harbour and further away, the Megantic mountain. His neighbor is Swamper. Jim has his HQ in downtown of Tenzel, neighboring Swamper signs and one of DrEvel's Starbuck caf

    Disaster........

*They should Have listened to Owen Shepherd!*

That was the on the first page of the Gloryville Newspaper this morning. All over the media today, they were talking about the terrible desaster that hit Grand Dam and West Axis.
The sudden warm weather as exspected by Owen Shepherd, the responsable for the piping systems in Grand Dam,did come all of sudden and disaster followed. Grand Dam and West Axis were inondated.
Now everyone in Round Lake Junction and Axis South are worried of the rising river. For the moment it looks good, since the river can take it, but if the warm weather continues, they will have problems too.
Even in Axis City they had some waterlevel rising, but far from worries.
The direction of the Grand Dam didn't want to keep the pipes open as Mr Shepperd suggested, simply because they were afraid not to have enough water to supply the needs of electricity of the region. But as expected the water came, and it came alright in many millions of gallons during last night. At 4 AM this morning the pipes were ordered to be opened at the maximum, and it was either this: Open the pipes all the way and have an indondation or have the whole dam destroyed and plunge 70 % of the region into a long darkness and inondate every town and City below the river.

It all starts in Ice Lake the very northern township up in the mountains. Usually it starts melting around April and fills the river that goes to Grand Dam, but this year it was late and it only started to melt a couple of days ago but at an agressive rate. Since it is over 2 months late, the warmth was much more intense,so the melting was extremely heavy. Never has anyone seen Ice Lake like this.

Lichen, which is the source of the underground river coming from Ice Lake, had its river filled to the rim. The samll village not too far from the river got evacuated this early morning, just in case that the dam outlets cannot handle the inflowing watermasses.

An overview of West Axis shows clearly the destruction of the inondation. With a population of less than 400, everyone was evacuated late this morning and minutes later the water has reached the farmlands and the small village.

Because of this mass of water invading the valley, electricity is out for good and that for awhile. Only the big Trans Genesis Line is still intact and supplying electricity now more than ever to all the Cities.

Great Dammage was done to the Hawklyn River Farms owned by Adley Hawklyn, whose home is a total loss, and he lost one employees and all of his crops and some of his cattle. Some of his buildings were not touched yet, because they are situated somewhat on a hill.

The experimental farm in West Axis, run by Miss Kitty Cat, wasn't touched too much. it is located just about the indondation limit. Of Course Miss Kitty Cat had to install some pumps in her basement to pump out the rising ground waterlevel. Most of the buildings haven't been touched, but the Main Laboratory is full of icy cold water. A loss that will easily jump into the Millions of damage.

Here is a picture of the intersection of two rivers in West Axis where the bridge used to be.

Owen Shepherd, now just grinning because he was right and no one wanted to listen, was back on the job early this morning, directing the whole Grand Dam Disaster-operation. *Keeping the waterlevel at all means lower than the dam is the prime direction*, he said to the press,* After we'll see about the rest*.
The pressure on the dam has never been that high and some architects start worrying, if the waterlevel will still rise another 20 feet or so,what will happen.

Below the dam ,where the outlets are, they are under water, that's how high the river is. Here in Grand Dam, no dammage, besides the two drinking water facilities, was reported, but the only connection with the outside world was washed away, the road to West Axis. The Mayor of Grand Dam now wants another route leaving his municipality, and this one should go through Round Lake Junction. The army arrived here an hour ago and they will be building a secondary road in less than a day and take care of all the citizens needs.

We will keep you informed about the disaster in these townships, also keep an alerting eye on Round Lake Jct and Axis South, where the Mayor Rico Az is now starting to worry too.

Perhaps a LBST device could be used to suck up the water and turn it into rain, it would vaporize the water, and depending of where it is aimed, clouds will form due to the steam, creating artificial rain! 2.gif3.gif

Man, thats gonna cost Adley and Miss Kitty Cat Millions, Those idiots at grand dam shoud have listened to Owen28.gif, I just hope the the damage can be fixed, to help Adley and Kitty, I offer my constrution services for nothing, this is the biggest thing to hit Genisis ever15.gif. And JO, I doubt that would work, because the water would still have to go somewhere, which means that there would still be major flooding in some areas of Genisis.
