I went on vacation a few weeks ago and whenI got back I forgot about this CJ. And I'm in it!(I worry about me sometimes.)

Anyways I started back on page 18 and, for the first time in my life, I am at a loss for words. Its amazng that so much has happenned! The spacestation, the advancement of all these poeple that I have grown to know and love, but most importantly my starbucks! I am slowly starting my domina..I've aleady said to much. I do have one question though, back on page 18, how could i run a starbucks with no water? Did I import it, because that is pretty costly. I have to know these things as owner you know.

I have seen this title of nexis many times appear in the newsbox on the home page, but I never really bothered to have a look what it was all about.Tonight I did and I was surprised to find a story. I read it(almost took me 2 hours)and I say that is one great story.I will be back.

drevilshenchman: what do you mean by running your starbucks without water? Where did it say that Nexis City didn't have any water?

The waterpump was working, but water quality was not at its best, that's why Rilian is trying to improve the watersystems to get better quality drinking water into all the towns and Cities.
So far, the only Cities that have excellent water from the Dam are Grand Dam , Axis West and Axis City along with the harbour. All other towns , villages and cities have their own water supply, but very rich in some kind of mineral that is not exactly the best for everyone.

Drevilshenchman: I went back to verify and this is what it showed this time.  So, it must have been only a temporary malfunction of the watersupply system at the time of that previous picture.

Something that can happen in every town or city. Sorry about that. Most of the habitants of Nexis City  never realized the short malfunction, but I guess you were just filling up all your jugs to prepare a new coffee batch at the same time this happened.

 Edit: Wow, did you see the difference in the Current jobs? What happened? From 6 to 41 jobs available. I guess this buissness is doing quite well then........

I suppose one error in the water suplly isnt that big of a deal, but to make it public information! what if the ruler of genesis was drinking coffee in my estavlishment (who is he again?) He woul be less then sattisfied with not only my restaurant but the city of Nexis in its entirety. Next time a water problem occurs please attempt to keep it under wraps.

DrEvel, don't worry about the water system of Nexis City anymore. Luckily the Rulers, neither Vallen Nexis who comes here often to take his coffee, didn't show up on that day in your Starbucks. Btw, it only lasted for 30 minutes, it was a pump problem, which now is repaired.
 The part of City where your starbuck and your home are, is under Rilian's control from now on.The older sytem will only supply the northern part and the Marina until Rilian gets all this under his management also.

The one starbuck we are talking about here is located in Nexis City. The others don't have these many jobs yet. One must know that there are a lot of relaxed people in Nexis City, that like to take their morning coffee away from their homes.

 

Small Update, mini that is:

 

Dan, our teacher from Nexis City, has finally convinced the Mayor to get rid of that ugly little school with hardly any room and lights and replace it. Construction for a bigger school, that also will serve as a Highschool, has started. Kids are growing older and need secondary educations. Dan made it possible to have the first school like this on Genesis. Already other school commissions got themselves informed from Dan how to handle this system.

Dan was gladly accepted in the Regional Minister of Education counsel. Rico Az, the Mayor of Axis South and also the owner of the number one TV station in Gloryville,has approached Dan to make his point about the education in Nexis City on a special NEWS show on TV next week.
Wow, that's the way to go , Dan!

 

On these pics one can see the before and during construction. Many buildings were demolished to make room for the bigger and better school coming soon.Meanwhile school is not out, contrary, it is held in the basement of the small cityhall for the time of construction

 

Many new office buildings are being build at the same time as the school.

Another mini-update this morning.

 

The Regional Administration Office in Gloryville Capitol City has announced this morning the Project *Union of the Two*. The Cities of Gloryville and Tenzel Outlet will join in a union under one City administration. Tenzel is having some financial problems ever since Axis Harbour opened ,and Gloryville is just doing fine, so both Cities have come to an agreement to join their forces and become one. Both Cities will keep their name.

 

Surprizingly the public votes have been more than 90 % for this project. A new Mayor and counsel will be elected and some of our friends have applied for this place.

For Mayor: Troy Nexis,Freddy Bison and Jenny Dice ( a cousin of Noyita Dice).

For the seats in the counsel(7 seats free):Jim,(a resident of Tenzel since quite awhile) Ninten (the designer of the new tourist station in Smurfmind) and Swamper (our busy sign maker) plus 19 others have applied. The Election will be held next month.

On this picture, we can clearly see where the two Cities will meet and join (yellow) leaving thus the parks without any modifications (pink and red).

 

Tim,the fellow that was responsable for the Space Station ground team in Atlas, is now back on the job as the Project Manager of Space Station Nexis One Ground Version. He has finished the telescope * Black Eye *.This is ready to ship in a week, as soon as Evermind Wellwisher, our expert in Space Stations, has ended her vacation. Now the job Tim has is to supervise the construction of the Replica Space Station here on ground. The place was chosen and it's Gloryville who's got the honor to build it in its downtown. The Replica Station will serve first as an educational program, mostly for youngsters and students interested in Spaceworks, but also as a tourist attraction for all those who are curious about the function of it.It will be open 7 days/week, weekdays for the students and weekends for the public visits.

Of course, everything is the same as the original station, except that it is not functional, and some materials are not the same, because the strength neede on ground is different from that in space. This is a Nexis Corporation project.

The *Space Station park* will be situated just in front of the Gloryville Cathedral, taking a lot of room of course. Some buildings had to be demolished to make room for the Giant. The Station comes in parts, which many have already arrived on the scene in crater boxes and are ready to be assembled. The mainframe is made of solid Steel to give it strength for the many visits, which Smurfer Steel kindly supplied for a fraction of the cost.

Here Tim is giving some last minute orders to the foremen, before all the workers arrive. Construction will start this morning.
Btw,Tim spent his vacation at Barby's Country Resort for the week and he loved it.

Thats great that the landing strip will be realesed, that lot will be useful in some of my less developed cities.
How are Gloryville and Tenzel Outlet gowing to get people to develop in the new land? Last time I heard Axis and Axis South had all the demand. Or is it just that they have all thogh room? It will be very interesting to see how it develops...

Interesting update.... I would have never guessed that I would run for office. Maybe that's because I am too busy thinking about signs.... Maybe I need a short vacation before my brain fries from working with signs....

I've been gone at camp for the last week and I missed my spotlight!Boo hoo....

Anyways, I think that buying the steel instead of manufacturing it would DEFINATELY be a good idea. I will still make the custom components myself, but the outer skins and emergency doors will be refined and manufactured at Smurfer Steel....

Another highlight of my post, is the new prototype windshield from Uru arrived, with security guards and all, right to my factory on the new rail line.

I also decided to test a new pod system for emergency purposes that will be made entirely from a special plastic, which was accidentally discovered by one of my top scientists while he was trying to replicate rubber from gasoline!

He decided to name it Freddium-Slayerus (For Freddy Bison and me)

its periodic table number is 333 and its abbreviation is FS.

Anyhow, I will hope to initiate the legal deal shortly!

At about the same time as I entered Axis City to see the damages caused by the fire rage, an traffic accident occured at the small entrance road. One strange thing though, it was early in the morning and the only vehicules involved were taxis....hm......which gave me a certain doubt about the safety of taxis in Axis City. Something to take a closer look at later.

Today, Dan, our teacher, will talk to the board of the regional school commission about the improvement of the today's schooling system. An important day for Dan, now a small town director of Nexis City and also a member of the school board.- The Security 'copter was ordered by Sherlock Holmes to see to the safety of the commissioners.

 

Just a picture of the Central Axis road, which comes in right from Grand Dam and continues to Axis Harbour. A straight double lane avenue, which is the longest road on Genesis, making it possible, together with Highway 1, for the traffic to flow steadily, even in Rush Hour.

The damges caused by the fire rage was bad enough for the Mayor Ciroyon to form a fire department and also a Security office of the Holmes security services. The Gaburan Embassador learned his lesson well.

No one that we know was hurt or has lost things in this fire, although some started to worry somehow.- Tim, who lives near the highway saw the clouds coming in his direction, still 3 blocks away though. Vatt who lives near the canal, and it was only this canal who separated him from the rage. Vatt saw already his former store go up in flames and was kinda sad for the new owner, but finally the fire was stopped a block before. And Rico Az who started worrying that the fire might attack the pine forest nearby,and then head towards Axis South in a hurry.

Panic was part of Ciroyon's daily *Worrydose* these days, when he saw the fire approach the City Hall. The fire department chief of Axis South told the press: * If the fire would have stombled across this road, I think we could have lost total control over the fire then. The buildings on the other side of the road are very close together for several blocks and it would have been almost impossible to reach them with our firetrucks.* Luckily the fire was stopped just in time.
Now that the fire is out, hope is back and this time, the population of Axiis City wants a park in the same spot as the these burnt buildings are.- The Regional Administration Office in Gloryville will help financially with this project, which will see the day in a couple of weeks. The *big Spring Clean* has begun.

The fire didn't really bother the  rest of the City, such as downtown, who was completely out of the wind of the fire. Growing like crazy,this part of Axis City has become the Center of buissness on Genesis. It has the advantage of being separated by Highway 1 and 2, plus the rails go right through it also, and the Grand rail station is less than a block away.
I personally think that this will save the existance of Axis City, which life always has been fragile eversince the idea of constructing it.

*Back to work!* An order that came from Vallen Nexis himself. Evermind Wellwisher is back in space to finally get the telescope installed with her team on the Space Station Nexis One. It should be finished soon, since all there's left to do is to assemble and attach the parts, which Tim has carefully prepared before he took the responsability to construct the Replica Station on ground in Gloryville.

 

... be back with some news from Tenzel Outlet and the Swamper sign Company, also we talk to Barby who is making a TV commercial with Rico Az, concerning the conservation of the Gloryville Natural Park , and finally  we were invited to have a closer look at the mysterious *Experimental farm* in West Axis , which Miss Kitty Cat is quietly running behind the Hawklyn Valley farms.

It's beautiful! The space station that is. Seems very peaceful compared to some of the events that have been occurred on Genesis. All the other updates are interesting, in particular the taxi accident.

It is beautiful outside and I just love the weather. This is the main reason, why I do not make so many updates per week anymore. Also I am doing some renovations on the outside of my home. But don't worry, I will do my minimum of 2 updates per week.This will probably increase with the summer passing by.

First let's answer some questions and make some comments about comments.....(does that make sense?)...lol

Are you ready for another update?

....ok, let's have a look at Miss Kitty Cat's Experimental Farm in West Axis today.We were lucky to have a tour with Miss Kitty Cat (now the General Manager) and the official Director of this Institution for the afternoon.

 

Finished products, mostly vegetables, but also some fruits and flowers, get to this long shed to be packaged and then loaded onto trucks and vans to be brought to the City. Something similar to the Hawklyn Valley Farms, the neighbor down south. But in much less quantity. The idea of this farm , which actually is an Experimental Farm, is to figure out and experiment these plant cultivations, so that farms ,such as Adley Hawklyn and many others, can draw better profit out of it. This experimental Station is only for the plant life, no animals. Only the surplus will be put on the public market.

 

One area was closed to our visits and Miss Kitty Cat gave us the reason, that we might bring in bacteria or fungus into these very contolled environments, inside this building. Here, as we were told, they work with and test the DNA of the plants, probably modifying them too. While I was here, I overheard something of an underground laboratory, but as soon as I ask Miss Kitty Cat about this, she changed the subject very rapidly,telling me nothing of this exists in a hurry.Hm......Maybe there is something fishy here after all. Maybe the rumours were right?

A little further away, they showed us some smaller fields with a great variety of small fruits , flowers and vegetables , and we even had a quick glimpse of the Baby-blue Rose that many have been talking about. Just wonderfully beautiful. If you hold the flower against the sky, you will only see the stalk, since the flower itself like disappears with the skycolor. Almost an miracle. But there is dark side for this plant, it does not live for more than a few months, at the most one year, Miss Kitty told us.Keeping it alive to produce several flowers has been our main concern this year.No results though yet.

This farm is completely self-sufficient what concerns the power.It is not connected with any electricity nor water with the outside world.
The total workers on this farm are around 400 during the summermonths and drops down to approximately 60 during the cold months in the winter.
The Farm is Government property,so it is managed by them too,and the houses of the people of the direction, such as the Manager, Director,foremen etc, are fournished by the Government also. Here we can see some of the homes.

Lets turn our head to the Capitol now, which is again making news all over Genesis. Gloryville has decided to enlarge their residential area a bit into the Natural Reserve Park,telling the people that the park is too big anyways, but the quality of the park will stay the same. Barby, just living next to the Park on top of the hill, running a Vacation Resort there,and also having a full view over the entire Park, has complained about the enlarging of the zoning to the Administration Office.The Newsteam from the TV station was there at the same time ,and it was diffused in the Moring News show. It took about an hour after the public revealing and the streets were full of Protestors and Demonstrators,on all the roads that have access to the Park. More than 2000 people were protesting by early afternoon.

Barby called for an assembly. Being very respected by many of the most infuential people (VIP) of Genesis, who spent their realaxing vacation on her resort, it was easy for her to get the Governments attention. I do not know the results yet, but will keep you all informed , when the results are published.

With this *map* one can see where the park is and what part might become a residential zone later. Freddy Bison already has invaded the Parkland with parts of his Appartment blocks.That was supposed to be legal.
Earlier, many years ago, even the lake was supposed to be one half into the park, but the rich and influential folks have cheated and made it possible to have their homes there.(bottom right)...We will keep an eye on this event...

A Night view of the **Minidowntown** of Tenzel Outlet, one of the lesser crimed townships.Tenzel is the third lowest in crime of all on Genesis and has a local police.Number one is Bolton, which has the Sherlock Holmes Security Service Main Office and second is Grand Dam, which also is controlled by Holmes Security.

Here in the middle of the town, our Signmaker Swamper, has finally build his office and shop as he wished for.His buissness has so much success that he has a labour force of almost 50 workers. In three shifts/day-night his teams can be seen ,with his 12 trucks on the road ,almost 24hrs/day and all over the region. Whether it is buissnesses, shops or small time lettering and signs, Swamper Signs Ltd is mostly concentrating on Traffic signs for the Department of roads and rails. He has a waiting list of 2 months at the moment, but is working on a big contract for the Highway 3 East, which will soon be constructed to come to Gloryville, Tenzel Outlet and which will continue into the Eastern region close to the sea. That'll keep him busy for awhile.By the way, Swamper is the only sign producer in the Genesis Region.

A few months ago , Swamper approached Jim (just before his accident), the residential Construction Company,to build his new home, or better, his Mansion. Jim being the owner of half of the Harbour Island in Tenzel, sold him a nice spot on top of a hill with a full view out to the sea. Swamper fell in love with this  and bought it. He wanted the lot on the left more , but Jim keeps this one for his home later, he told Swamper.

A few years ago Jim bought the land for little money and he just told his friend, that by selling just one lot, he has just paid all the rest of his land with the profits he made. He knew quite well what he was into at that time.- Now being back home, but not quite able to work full time, he is more like supervising his workers, which he has  a dozen of by now.
Jim just founded his Company, named :Sampson Constructions, and is now looking for a place in Tenzel downtown (maybe beside Swamper Signs) to build his Office and warehouse. Since Swamper bought out his two neighbors for a good price, people around get the idea that their land might be worth more in the downtown area, so prices are jacked up, a little too high for Jim at the moment.

 

Something else about Swamper that just caught my attention, he was just informed that he has won the Municipal election for counsel membership in the Capitol City of Gloryville.Congratulations Mr Swamper, your seat is just between Troy Nexis and Freddy Bison.
