OMG Nexis, you have gone way out and beyond with this journal!!! I haven't checked up on yours lately, you know me and being busy. But WOW, I love what you did with the Air Force Base and shuttle site....DUH only I wouldn't think of that. Even though my husband is in the Air Force. Anyhow. What an awesome journal, Love everything about it! Keep up the awesome work and I look foward to talking with ya again some time.

I tried hard ealier yesterday and also later ,to get into the site, but noway(time-out), so I'll be posting late at night or early morning, when I have time. -Today we will talk about Smurfmind,Tenzel Outlet,Nexis City and Red Poll.

 

Let's start with Smurfmind, now a small village with a wonderful futur for tourists. The young Mayor of Smurfmind wants to make it touristic, but to a point where the entire village might live of it. He will be working together with Vallen Nexis, who has big plans for this township. This should be easy, since the Evermind mountain draws a lot of folks to it already, to climb the Mountain and see the whole region on a clear day. Since the Smurfer trail has been managed for public use, now everyone can climb the mountain, even Grandma Nexis at the age of 110 years now (Vallen's mother and Daight's wife).
Meanwhile, if you come visit the mountain, you can stay in the motel and have yourself some excellent fast food at Peggy's.

 

In Tenzel Outlet, Swamper from Swamper signs is preparing the land behind his workshop, for an enlargement. Swamper just signed a contract with the Regional Administration Office in Gloryville for the signs of the lengthening of Highway 1 and Hgwy 2 towards Nexis City. Also they are already talking about building Highway 3 to Gloryville and later to Three Towers next year. Plus the Railroad Company approached him for some signs lately. They too are planning to lay some more miles of rails soon.
Swamper now has to get himself prepared to confront all this work, find working space and employees.

If you are not so rich, or just want to save some money for a home, you might live here for awhile, in the Appartment sector of Tenzel Outlet. Very low cost living, but in security, since Holmes Security Services will take care of that, starting next month. This is a new contract for Sherlock Holmes, who has proved so far that Nexians cannot live without Holmes Security. Sherlock's Services are still less expensive and more effective as the local Police. Some towns and villages are even thinking to get rid of their Police and deal with Holmes. Of course, there will always be the regional Police.

On her vacation, Evermind finally got organized in her home in Tenzel Outlet, where she couldn't find the phone, because of most of her stuff not being unpacked, when she moved in some weeks ago. Understandable though, with the job she's got.- Just behind her home is the Hi-Tech School, which teaches new technologies to our younger generation, and Evermind drops in once in awhile to tell about her experiences on the Space Station Nexis I, that she is building.

Smurfer Steel is doing well, and he is glad to make his monthly payments to pay off his debts and still have a good amount of income left. Steel is on demand, no doubt, and Miss Noyita Dice ( troy's wife) is making deals with Smurfer almost once every two weeks for the bridges, she will be building. Smurfer is thinking seriously already to have himself a small Mansion build somewhere, and went to see Ninten to get some ideas of where and how. Ninten is busy to design the new touristic station (tourist village) in Smurfmind at the moment with the Mayor and Vallen Nexis, and he recommended to Smurfer that the foothills of Evermind Mountain will be open for residential construction next year.* Great idea*, Smurfer said * to have my home near my trail*.

Near Brett's home in Red Poll, Alexander MacVicar bought himself a small cottage with a great view over the lake and the cliffs. He needed this place to spend his weekends away from the stress of the mines. Brett, who is living here all year around told Alex that one could not find a better place to relax than here. * I forget what happened in the day* he said* when I sit on my porch and look at the waters and mountains with my warm cup of tea every evening*.

In Nexis City, but not exactly in the City, but near the Nexis 's home, Vallen Nexis got himself a private little landing strip and a plane. He said, that he was sick and tired of driving every morning to Gloryville, where the Office is, spending almost an hour on the road.- *Gloryville has an airport I tought*, he said during a small press conference, * and I have lots of land here, so I made a direct line by air to Gloryville and it takes me only 10 minutes to go to work now, leaving me with half an hour of more sleep. Plus I have a wonderfull sight, when I fly over Nexis Islands.Just wonderful*.

Wonderful he said, that's right! Now I have the possibility to see that once in awhile too, being his friend...and...living right across the landing strip, just beside Vallen.

 

I'll be back on the weekend sometime, when traffic on the site is low ,with some news from Jim, who can't leave the nurses alone in the hospital, I heard.
Also we will have a look at Axis City and its Fire disaster (the day after....) and some other news from Slayer, Rilian and others....

First Thank you for all the comments before and after my last update.
Now to answer some questions:

First let me tell you again, that there are many unique lots and Bats in my CJ already and many more to come and in developpment. These lots are especially made for the CJ, so I put them on Park lots(or others) without any special tweaking or editing. Lots that will have a lot of demand ( ex: such as the Nexis church already on the STEX) , I will do some editing and then make them available on the STEX. My next one is Freddy's Cottage, growable 2x2R$$. This is because I have received like a dozen of demands . If not,others will not be uploaded.
If you want it the same in that simple lot edition and maybe tweak it yourself, just PM me with your e-mail address and I'll send you the files.(please no hotmail,too small for the files)


Ma8thew, yes we will talk about Wren Trey, the next time we visit Nexis City downtown, in about 2 or three updates.

I might not be able to make my next update before Sunday night, summer is beautiful and I want to enjoy it to the max.

I second the request for the landing strip. It's really nice and would add a nice touch to our cities.

I just got back home after a long vacation with my family and the first thing I did when we got back was to get on the computer and read up on everything I missed. It was well worth it! I can't wait for the next update on Nexis City! Excellent work mrbisonm!

Anywho, Im just now recieving the first shipments from MacVicar Mines to my factory (which will not be located to the public just yet).It was quoted by an onlooker as the trucks arived that,It is particularly unnerving that such noisy trucks and machinary are going to some private building for apparently no reason, what has this quiet town become? Well if she reads the paper tomorrow, she'll probably have a heart attack---

It was also quoted by the drivers from the Mines that they had a whole heck of a lot of traffic,since them thar folk arnt use't the biggun' trucks we's usin, one driver was quoted. (basically they stopped in their cars and gawked at the trucks as they went by)
O well, the time to settle that matter will be at the next regional council.

Here is a tiny update on Black Lake.(had some free time)

 

Elizabeth White, the one person that made the highway park in Axis City so beautiful and quiet for the surrounding residences, has opened a small buissness in Black Lake, a park!--And she will be entertaining it.

 

Here is the story: Many Centuries ago, the White family were the first arrivers on the great continent of Urulia on Uru. They came in a ship, just like this one, the * White's Ship *. Now  that ship is still on Uru and since it will be lost with the impact of Opall, Miss Elizabeth White created a exact Replica here on Genesis and made a attractional park out of it. She will be entertaining this to the Nexians and Gaburans with the incredible story of her ancestors,who survived the savage new country, which is Capitol of Uru today.
 Something like the Nexis family, the Whites have come a long way, leaving traces of Urulian history here and there, and now it is all brought back to visitors here in Black Lake with this park.
Miss White already hired some students to do the animations.

 

At night there are 9 spotlights that will make the *White's ship* to be seen for miles.Already a plan was made for her Office building and construction is put into the hands of Jim, who is still running after the nurses in the Hospital....maybe he could be released soon.....

Just came back from my favourite fishing hole with a wonderful weekend I had.Here's an update that I wrote in my cottage . If you like custom unique lots, you will have a lot of eye candy in this update. Have Fun!.....Wow...

Tiel Oil Co from New Sholes expanded its territory towards Treeland, the Farming valley. They found an underground oil lake right in the middle of this farming community. Because of the land being owned by the Farmers Federation, Tiel Oil Ltd had to make an interesting offer to the Community to have them pumping the crude oil. A special tax will be paid to every farmer in Treeland, all depending on the amount of oil being drawn out. Dr Evel couldn't help to mention in the farmer's meeting : * I hope it will be enough to feed my Llamas on*...

 

The Black Gold Company built a giant tank to keep the crude oil in storage, while being transported with train tankers every time it fills up, only to be shipped to New Sholes and to be refined into finished products.

In Gloryville, Kevin Slayer finally got his factory of steel products built , just in time to fulfill his first orders. The arrival of the Railways in Coarseville at the MacVicar mines, was just a well hoped for gift to him. Ready to go , Kevin puts up his sleeves together with his 122 employees to go to work. The first shipment of pure steel was send from Smurfer Steel,which Slayer will test first, until a contract with Smurfer will be signed. Kevin Slayer might buy his steel ready to transform from Smurfer Steel, instead of refining it himself.

 On this picture you can see the first load of steel arrived from Tenzel Outlet. Slayer's first order will be filled with this batch, once done and satisfied Slayer said to the Press: * We will see what Smurfer Steel is like, and then we might sign a contract*.

Also in Gloryville,the Mayor from Axis South, Rico Az, just has bought the TV-Station and in an interview with the local Newspaper, he mentioned that as a director he wanted to change a few things in the Station, but wasn't able to, but now , being the Owner, things will pick up and Genesis TV will be back on Air like never before.

Finally the rails arrived in Coarseville, which was a total surprize for many, such as Smurfer Steel, now being able to have the crude steel being shipped right to his door and of course Alexander MacVicar, who can sell his trucks now and only use the train to export his products.

But MacVicar has come across another problem. Getting rid of the mining residue is not a very easy task. Sofar it has been piled behind the factory, but space is running out very quickly. Alexander had a look around and found a township, where no one lives yet and possible development of this region is out of the question for now. So he will deal with the Regional Administration Office in Gloryville to possible buy or rent this neighboring township for the storage of all the Mining residue of the MacVicar Mines from Coarseville.

Smurfer Steel in Tenzel Outlet is just hoping to make the deal with with Slayer Inc in Gloiryville.* This will be the final deal needed for the Company to be at its max*, Smurfer said to a journalist withn a giant smile.

If Smurfer can proof to Slayer that he is producing the best steel around, Slayer will make his buys there, instead of producing the steel himself, which will safe him time and money. It will be the biggest contract on Genesis yet. Lawyer Mr Night can't wait to legalize this deal, which will give him a good income deal also.

Elizabeth White in Black Lake finished her office, just behind the White's Ship Park. She and her students will take reservations now for the story of the White Family discovery to be told. Touring of the Park is open starting tomorrow.

 

As you can see, Everyone will have their own lots/bats in this CJ, but please be patient, since it is a lot of work for me to organize and make all this happen. Some will be chosen earlier, others later without any preference, so please understand....thank you.

Edit: I have to mention that the little tourism office of Ms Elizabeth White, behind the ships,  is not my creation, but from couchpotato. She has sent it to me to use it as hers in the CJ.

I will neither confirm nor deny any rumors about entering a limited partnership with Dr. Evel. Although there does seem to be a market for a combination apartment complex/coffee shop/entertainment center development.

SS454, (I used to own a 1972 Chevrolet SS with a 454, when I was young ), I have no idea exactly where the train comes from, but it is either from the STEX or from Simcity central (oppie).

I am back already with another update, (this time no new BATs or lots....lol).

 

After having sold his old home in Axis City, Wren Trey got himself a new home right here in Nexis City, that he likes so much after a short visit awhile ago. Living just in front of the surburban Baseball park, he is having fun evenings watching all the kids after every supper playing the game.

 

At the same time Wren rented a store in downtown Nexis City, 3 blocks away from his home, to sell his electronics. First he wanted to sell the store in Axis City that he owns there, but on a second thought , he kept it and hired someone to take care of it.* Another outlet in Gloryville would be just fine, before someone else thinks of it * he said to a friend. Wren will offer a deal to Troy , his wholesaler. As Troy Nexis is always willing to help out someone, just like his father, this deal will be profitable to Wren.

Also in Nexis City, but completely on the other side, Rilian has started his buissness with water that he has been dreaming of for quite some time now. With the money he got from selling his store of precious stones and metals (transparent gold), he got the Drinking water system for a good part of the City working now. The water is pumped from the underground ,filtered, cleaned and tested and then pumped into the existing pipe system of the town to .- Plans to have a pipeline layed from Grand Dam are already in progress. *Quality before quantity* told Rilian a journalist. And it shows, even Vallen Nexis now wants a pipe layed to his home to get some of his water, almost a mile away from the City.

Having also made some xtra revenue with his Marina in Nexis City, he finally bought himself a home near his marina and just below the cliff of the Nexis Family, Troy Nexis and his wife Noyita and his sister Lyll. To get to his Pumping Station, he must take the tunnel every morning, something that he doesn't like to much. He says that the tunnel is old and he has the strange feeling that it might collapse every time he travels through it.

A look at the southern region and its habitants. Alexander MacVicar finally found a township, right south of him, that the Rulers have accepted to ship his mine residues. It's in the valley of Morne. At the same time Mr Night from Stormy Night Law Offices in Grand Dam saw an opportunity ,to get rid of the garbage in Axis South. Rico Az, the Mayor of Axis South, was glad to hear this, but didn't like too much the idea of the price and the cost of 50% of the railways that will have to be layed to reach this area. But what else could he have done?. So , one township will help 2 municipalities to begin with. The Rulers will have a garbage disposal and burning factory installed there and then approach other cities with an offer to take their disposals. It will be owned by the Regional Administration Office in Gloryville.

Tim Chula, the forman from Razor Blade Logging Industries and the man who wnated to become independant, has started the logging on his land he bought in Black Lake. A small part has been done and the logs are sold to Razor Blade. Happy about this Tim is awaiting his first check of his deal.

Having made quite a bundle of income with Axis City and Axis harbour, Mr Vegetable now has his own office in Gloryville's beautiful downtown.This will be a great beginning of MrVegetable & Co Architects.
Already hired more than 30 epople that will work for him, he is now working on the east part of Nexis City's development.

He also bought himself the Penthouse of a smaller high-class Appartment building in Gloryville's more beautiful place of the Central lake area near the Natural Park.- Some people there were demonstrating today against the City's plans for some residential extension that might use up some land of the Natural Park. Vatt, who started to make his living as a guardian right here in this park, was part of the demonstration.

This is the beginning of the new east part of Nexis City, that MrVegetable and his employees are planning. Electricity will come in from Grand Dam, the power lines are already under construction. Also the bridge has been finished by Noyita Dice's Company, who got the building material from Smurfer Steel just in time.

Appartments are very rare in Dam City, something that Owen Sheppard found out the hard way, while living in a motel, where he had to hunt the roaches in his bathroom everyday.* Now I feel a bit better here on the third floor, but still I won't spend my life here* he told the journalist who is writing a small story about this newcomer for the Grand Dam Sun. Freddy Bison and also Sven, are both thinking of investing here in Grand Dam with some Appartments in the futur.
Owen now has become the forman for the pumping and pipeline department at the Dam facility, exactly where Brett started his first job a couple of years ago.

Someone that has to take enourmous care of his finances now and count all his

simoleons ,is Adley Hawklyn of the Hawklyn Valley Farms in West Axis. He just

spent his last simoleons on some land that he needed so badly in West Axis.And he

paid a lot for the land, it is close to the City and the value is according to

that. The older Lady (in her late sixties) that sold the land, couldn't take care

of it anymore, but she kept her house and some land. Now a millionaire with all

the simoleons that she received from Adley, she will take her retirement with

ease.
Hawklyn told the press that the land will be plowed and planted with fruits and

vegetables, since the livestock is not allowed in this part of Axis South,

because it is too close to the City. This farm has the nicest Cherry orchard

around and top-simoleons are paid for these fruits.

 

Some other news: A place for the Replica Space Station has been chosen in Gloryville, for the tourists to visit.

Jim is out of the hospital now and back home, but still taking it easy.

Joao Otavio is having smaller problems to get the LBST back online, but shouldn't take much longer.
