6.  Broadband has been discontinued due to the Recession.

7.  Brad and Brian were kidsig-napped, but have been returned unharmed, now in ascii format as well have flipped out.

8.  We have quite possibly discovered what is behind all the recent train crashes.

I make it a point to not capitalize usernames that are not capitalized, e.g. "dirk", not "Dirk". However, when they appear at the beginning of a sentence, you kind of have to capitalize them.

Really, this dilemma only a rises since people make usernames that aren't capitalized. If it was done properly, all usernames would be capitalized. Unfortunately, not everyone (especially not on the internet) does that.

I always be sure to register as "Duke87", never "duke87" for just that reason. It's always just seemed second nature to me, "oh, it's my name, it should be capitalized". But the sad fact of the matter is that most people don't pay attention to such things and don't care. And think it's acceptable to post crap like "hi how r u". Okay, I take that back, the problem isn't that people think it's acceptable, the problem is that in a lot of places it is acceptable.

I don't know if anyone's ever tried this, but it might be a novel idea to program forum software such that whenever someone registers an account the first letter of the name is automatically capitalized whether the person capitalizes it when they type it in or not. That'd solve the problem.
