I've looked High and low but I've never been able to find a Map of Pern.  I'm a big fan of the series And would love to play a map based off of the Northern continent.  I have found a good color map of Pern with out labels that would make the task much easier.  Here is the Link to the map.

I don't care if the person that makes the map can't get the rivers.  I'll be happy to get a good map that gives me the ruggedness that the books describe.  The site also has other images that could be useful in producing a map.  I personally would like the region to be at least 4 large tiles tall and 8 large tiles long. here is an image of the area I'm intrested in for the Map.  The Area in White just happens to be Ice but the area is described as a rugged, barren region with fijords along the coast.

 pern.jpg

PM me if you need anymore details or you complete the Region.  I most certintly will download the map.  Thank You

Can someone make a map of San Jose, CA and its suburbs or a Silicon Valley map? The Bay Area maps don't seem to include the South Bay and/or they aren't to scale. Also, if you have time, Fresno, CA. Thanks.

Good day all! Is there any possibility that someone can make a map of the south-west region of Lake Ontario, Canada? Containing coastal line from Mississauga/Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton, Grimsby, Saint Catharines and maybe Niagara? I'm from The Netherlands, been there three times and have a strong connection with it somehow 3.gif

I'd like to request Kerguelen / Grand Terre which is a place I didn't know existed until about 15 minutes ago.

Something about starting a new city on such an isolated place appeals to me.

Some info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerguelen_Islands

If the island must be cut in half, I'd prefer the eastern half, as that is where most of the settlements are.

Note that I'm also posting this over on SC4D, so please PM me if you are willing to help me create this, so that I dont get two people working on the same thing.

Oh, my bad, I forgot to explain. That map has two regions in it but I just noticed the map is slightly outdated. Now, the northern part of the map is Arica-Parinacota, and rest is Tarapacá, where Iquique is. Back then both regions were just Tarapacá.

I would be really thankful!

You want the whole regions or just the cities of the same name?  If you want the whole regions, not sure my pc can handle maps that huge...anything over 11x11 large tiles seems to cause terraformer to crash.  I'll check back tomorrow [saturday] for your answer when I get home from work.

Oh, really? I'm gonna change my request to something smaller, then ^^; Sorry, I didn't know it was so big.

Try this. Could you try both cities? And, by the way, the city isn't plain. Height rises as you walk through, like this: 4466248319_9c17e2a24b_o_d.jpg

Green lines mark the heights.

So you want Arica-Parinacota and Iquique right?  That will be no problem at all.  I'll give you the biggest maps for those two areas that my pc can handle.  And no worry about elevation, DEM data will cover those bases and you'll get an accurately scaled map for both.1.gif

Ok, just Iquique then.  Just so you know, it'll be at least a week before I can get it done as I have several requests ahead of yours.  I'll try and squeeze it in with the next batch if I can.2.gif

Northern Ireland on an unrealistic scale (so it all fits)

http://maps.google.ca/maps/ms?hl=en&geocode=&ie=UTF8&vps=1&jsv=293b&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=101714683938336514556.00049512ccbd087a86575

Same scale as this map: https://www.simtropolis.com/stex/details.cfm?id=16180

If possible, to have NI cut out of the map so that the republic appears as water (IE NI would be an island separate from Ireland, and Ireland (and Scotland) would not appear on the map at all) If not possible, then that's fine as well.

Please PM me if you can do this as I'm posting this on SC4D as well.

Nix my earlier request.

Welcome to the conversation.

This should be n the mapping forum and will probably get moved there.

First of all, you should check the available maps on the STEX (Exchange) to see if the one you want is there.

I am not sure whether the boundaries of Croatia are currently fixed, so you might be happier in doing it yourself.  You will need a good image manipulation program.  Photoshop or the GIMP come to mind.  If you don'e have either, the GIMP is free from the Gnu group.  Just google for GIMP and you should get ti.

I'm willing to make this myself is someone can help me with some of the finer points - like exactly where I can get a topographic greyscale map of ulster.

Hello all, I am new to the forums but have been using simtropolis for patches and what not for quite some time. My issue is that due to my operating system my computer will not run SC4 Terraformer or the Mapping tool. This is problematic as I would like to recreate an accurate scale model of Boston, MA. I recall some time ago there was a grayscale "Boston V1" which I have since lost. Does anyone out there still have it? Or does someone possibly have a grayscale of the superior "Boston V2"? Any help would be much appreciated.
