We are a small community, so the map is rather small. I don't know how big a map can be, so figured if I gave you the city limits, I know I could see my whole city on a map.

I have attempted to draw roughly the city sizes I'm after. The lake is my main focal point to which I will be building around, I hope from the rough sizes I have given for cities here you will be able to get an idea of how big the region could be! Sorry I can't provide more information than that .. Would really appreciate any efforts!

Do you want the whole Whidbey island "only" or with some part of the area around ?

I did a test, only zoning the entire Island, tell me what you think about that :

Whidbey (1/3 arc resolution)

This map is already quite huge in my opinion (8 x 13 big tiles), and including the town of Bellingham into it would be gigantic. Actually, there is about 100 kilometers between the city's center and the southern end of Whidbey Island ! It represents more than 24 big tiles...

So mapping that enormous area would become very difficult in term of RAM memory...

If you really want a map including Bellingham and the island, I would suggest to cut this island and only keep the northern part... ... and it would make a big map either !

Tell me and I will put this one exactly what you want in the machine !

It really doesn't matter to me. I would like as much of the surrounding area as possible such as Camano Island, San Juan Islands, and some of western Skagit County, but if the map is going to be too big to include Bellingham and the Canadian Border, then feel free to drop those.

Well, I just extracted datas and created the rough file (I call it "dry map", just because water drawing is absent) :

Zlatoust, Russia (3 arc resolution) :

What do you think about that ? Maybe too big ?

Actually, this file is not very difficult to obtain. Water drawing is way more longer. So this map will have to wait as I have many other cookies in the oven

Mornington Peninsula. Doesn't have to be to scale, but should be reasonably accurate. It should also be small enough for my PC to render, so no bigger than that Melbourne map. The top-right corner should be in Cranbourne somewhere. You can omit Phillip Island and Bellarine Peninsula if you want.

On that note, maybe a separate map for Bellarine Peninsula as well? (I'm surprised no one's made maps of these yet)
