NTQ: I can see the pictures, since I use Safari. Do you mean that you changed them to JPG instead of PNG? I love that night view.

Thank you all of you.

timemaster, another issue was that the sizes of the pictures not olny lowerd quality, but they were also peg which have problems with internet explorer.  so i decided to retake the pictures then repost them in jpeg, but chance happend that a error hit simcity, and i was kicked off the computer, so it had to wait. But now everything is better and we can move one!

So Update 2 is here!

Now in that developed area ive finally got power and water, sufficent transit, and most of the civics.

2791207914_2ac07759ec_o.jpg

Here's the police Hq next to one of the highways.

2790358823_b1bc3af521_o.jpg

And the main hospital for the city has been built, or should i say hospital campus 9.gif but yea, 1 main building, and 2 minor ones. Ill also probably add a couple of underground parking area's.

let's see other developments

2791207936_c817ac9b02_o.jpg

All the highways have been layed down for the tile, and most of them have the highway walls.

This is one of the many exits in the area, the olny one actually not to have a road going in the middle of it, htough the predestrian bridge is very nice.

2791208146_7edc189bd2_o.jpg

All the seawalls for the area and the bridges have been layed. Im using a mix, the more modern ones give a better sence of security, while the older ones feel more open. I like the mix.

2790358617_a542a6bd45_o.jpg

speaking of bridges another one has been added, to give more river clutter like other cities. The avenue bridge is also a more local one compared to the highway tunnle.

2791208024_d295f69e3c_o.jpg

Speaking of the highway tunnle, ive finally started spreading infranstructer over the river, the

El 'Red line' comes up from the ground too, and meets with the green line which covers this area and generally the middle region between the rivers. You can see the start of the bridge too.

2790358593_4f9e733d3b_o.jpg

The zones are starting to form. with the passenger rail and fright rail lines already in place. Though there is no fright line going east in this area above, dew to another fright line do the same thing area just across the river.

Back in the already area

2791208174_346a098226_o.jpg

Im really intrested in how this area is going to develope, it's surronded by rail lines, so i think it may look very intresting once developed.

2790358861_1c3ed29e87_o.jpg

A very nice shot of downtown in the early morning hours, ill give you a sunset version next update.

And last but not least a finalshot for your viewing pleasure

2790358543_47ef4c62df_o.jpg

Seeing as most of this is going to be surronded by medium development i cant wait until i can let loss the clock and watch it progress.

Nice, it's kind of like Chicago, only different. I love a city with unique geography, and this one is no exception. 4.gif

Wow. This is... really good! That is some impressive city planning, and I love the way the infrastructure is all perfectly scenicked and planned out before the city's even let to develop. As Schulmanator said, this one's got potential!

I'll look forward to seeing this as all the zones grow. As for the layout with your roads and rails, it looks excellent.

panthersimcity4: yea me too, i actually love chicago, and i hoped to have some aspects put into my cities.

Schulmanator: thank you, stragnly i actually just do it as i go, i randomly creat a line, or have a idea, and then i expand on that until it's something that could work in the game

    un1: thank you

    deathtopumpkins: Thank you

    dfnva: yea me too 4.gif

patriots_1228: i certainly hope i dont abuse my new power 9.gif

    anik: Ill try 2.gif

    MoSh316ddp: THanks

SimHoTToDDy: funny story it's actually lucky that type of rail system is there, since the major design of it came to me just before i started putting down the rail.

Mother of Invention: hmmm i think were a little bigger then them, besides this city is like the little brother of the chicago political machine. so i wouldn't worry 9.gif

Thanks for all your feed back, update 3 will come soon, 2.gif i already started taking pictures.

Just to say, im really trying to get the transit to cover more of a general area, like north-south, or Downtown-northeast, or downtown-east, while at the sametime atleast one form of it, atleast 1 line to be covering a tile. The grid hates me now i guess.

    welcome to update 3!

So let's see where to start...

    2792897842_116f268f2a_o.jpg

as you can see finally the zones are complete, for all of this tile, just waiting to grow into the urban jungle.

    2792897890_36323881e6_o.jpg

I really cant wait until this becomes a busy congested urban center.

But wait.......in the first picture there's a accumalation of buildings?

    2792045787_a47a0b403a_o.jpg

Yup, you could almost call this uptown flint, but if you look closly at both downtown and uptown, you can see that the growth has really been between the main busstop, and a main el-station, transportation centerd growth.

    2792897724_3f64c37ddc_o.jpg

Another hospital has been added, to spread coverage and to give capacity. You can also see a fire station.

Back in main Flint, the education centers are finally here

    2792045683_f5b80a6a3a_o.jpg

there are already 3 buildings like this, and could be more, you can also see a musuem being built.

    2792045329_0953e8bd2e_o.jpg

Continueing my intresting area's develope, we have this general area, has all the collages currently, and is borderd by both rail and highways.

    2792897310_c09d639b73_o.jpg

This residential area is borderd by highway's and residential walls. downtown is right by here, so i expect a highclass area.

    2792897200_185eb68985_o.jpg

This area is surrounded by highways, has a highway exit, a light-rail stop, it has a hospital, police station, and a library, i really wonder what transportation is going to look like for these sims.

    2792897476_34c47dd7b7_o.jpg

This area is surronded by transit, and i really love how it looks, but how will it grow?

Ok were done with those, let's look around

    2792045879_8be9bc8056_o.jpg

the seawalls are all here, adn you can see part of that new area.

    2792045741_5e3301dca2_o.jpg

closer shot of the railyard, hmmm not that good looking, not that realistic , but what city dosent have a major railwayd?

    2792897808_c61529a0a1_o.jpg

This is the power station for the tile, as you can see security is tight.

    2792897956_24a2bf68af_o.jpg

Another shot of the bridge, sure it;s nothing new or special, but i think it really fits in.

    2792046123_391a2ef6a9_o.jpg

    Another shot, of both.

    2792897136_1bd39aa72b_o.jpg

     A nice nightshot.

    2792897510_155be04b4a_o.jpg

A shot of both area's together.

    Now nightshot glory.

    2792897166_82660c0402_o.jpg

    2792897086_96b55f8386_o.jpg

And how could i forget? a updated map of the region!

    2792994116_3d0a28e8a7.jpg

hmmm sized deminished to imrpove quality.

    2792137367_d78a11f4a7.jpg

but yea semi-updated, though some of the most recent things areant there.

so upnext update 4: urban jubgle 9.gif

    A nice big update.

How do you stand to plan out all the zones and infrastructure until the entire tile is covered before beginning to develop??? All of my urban areas have little patches of field in between districts, as I let zones develop as soon as I draw them. And infrastructure always changes to suit the needs of sims while developing.

For the railyard, may I recommend the Modular Railyard System on the STEX? [no link]

Lastly, I really like the elevated rail line by the bridge, and I can't wait to see this city develop.
