Great work. one thing i suggest though, is the freight lot, make the road grade a little lower to make it more realistic. it is a pretty steep sloap for freight trucks to go up and down. ooooooo.... i cant wait for these!!!!

I have been looking at this for some time and it's looks great keep up the good work. One question are you going to release a more modern looking texture instead of bricks or have both. Again this looks great.

thanx all....sloppet condionally (that sly look somewhat frightens me)

newyourrunaway1 i agree....that was my first attempt at modeling more than stairs or walls so i just kind of winged it....since the whole " lot " at the moment,  is only just the transit enabled 1x1 with a huge overhanging prop,  i could easily have the lane slope directly off the road and bring it back against the far rail...an offset t junction.. probably reduce the incline by about 30' that way ..the whole thing is just one big overhanging prop with custom lods to wrap around the hill.....sadly this limits night lights ...cant have em...so i might slice up the idea into smaller building lots, underground car/truck bays, ramps...etc..  that way i could light up the individual bits...

but first i just want to finish the base set...which is pretty much finished. i got sidetracked trying to figure out why my nightlights wouldnt fuction.......it turned out to be "after reinstalling everything" to be a nocd crack i was using..let that be a lesson ..lol... damn pirates ...argh

thanx again jeronij.....your textures rock ..cant thank ya enough...

as usual any and ideas and critisisms are welcome....cheers

I hope you can release the sunken highway walls very soon, they are awesome.  And that sucken freight building looks great as well.  It would be a great if you could expand on this idea.  I read that you are just winging it..............if that 's the case you are going to be a god when you master this stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Great work, please don't stop.

Wow... these are the kind of things that revolutionize the game! I haven't used the sunken highways yet, just because.... but I don't think there's any way I can NOT use them when this set gets released! Now I'm gonna have to figure out how to do it so they match up with the NAM... hmm... I remember reading the tutorial on that, but I can't remember where it is! Anyone have the link handy? Thanks!

EDIT:  Never mind, I found one... It's right HERE for anyone else who's looking!

Wow, those look great. Easily some of the best stuff I have seen. The only unrealistic part is the on/off ramps which are too steep and short. Make them longer so the grade is lower and it will be awesome.

    Amdinside,

The onramps are from the NAM, and they're just a modification of the MAXIS originals.  I'm not sure that they can be changed, but even if they couldn't, they don't have anything to do with Buddybud's pieces here.

    02almost1ce.jpg

note the shadows appear only in the correct orrientation....seems to work fine..

    0004betaboo8fp.jpg

let me know if you have any problems.......theres ten lots and you can do everything above......youll also need the bat from jeronij Residential And Rural Diagonal Walls Set V1

Theres still the tunnel entrance, pedestrian overpass, pedestrian lookout (1x1 and a 1x3) left to do.....anyways enjoy......

ps......lots found in power menu as per usual

oh........the lots are specifically made for the depth of the road hole digging tool in smocries hole digging lots......the ramps HAVE to be at this depth to work.....goodluck

These lots look absolutely amazing, Buddybud! 6.gif

Unfortunately there seem to be some problems with savefile.com at the moment, so downloading will have to wait.. (Perhaps it's just a problem on my end, but if you could provide another link that would be great..)

EDIT: Never mind.. Problems seem to be fixed.. I can't wait to try them out! 9.gif

    In any case, wonderful work!
