3000 odd members isn't as much as it sounds. ST's member numbers increase quite quickly. 48.gif

Yeah, I would also say Janurary. It's funny to see those who said that we would never reach 100, 000 members!

Wow, on Thanksgiving Day, I remember the number being 92,... !!! Simtropolis is becoming very larges. It seems most of the population isn't very motived to do anything, just downloading stuff off of the STEX and that's it.

We will hit 100,000 soon I know it. When we do we should have a celebration. That is a milestone for any forum on the net.

Date: 11/25/2005 1:02:32 AM Author: hamsterTK Simtropolis is hitting 100,000 people! its getting to be a real city! of course, i bet there are only 2000 active members, the rest probably just registered so they could download one or two things before moving on.

I agree - we got 98,713 as I speek, yet active members in last 24 hours = 2000ish, as it's done for ages. I say 100,000 will come on 19th December - but that's just a guess.

ok! I revived my math to the way the population is moving up....by my math we usally get a averge of around 100 members in 24 hours...I simply take the population and round it to the nearest hundred then add one hundred to each day untill I get 100,000 then I count the numbers of times I did that then add it to the date..then I find the week and mark the week and then I mark the date it says and add 2 days to the ends of it....so by my math we will get 100k members in the week of the 18th-24th and the second area is the dates the 17th and the 21st. the date I'm guessign now is the 19th or the 20th.

\The forum cleans out inactive members, screwed up profiles, and people that were deleted. If you start a new user name, but dont get the email or whatever, it still puts it up on the counter. it usually goes up a few thousand then down a couple hundred every few weeks.

I'm betting after Christmas and before New Years.  Everything slows down a lot around this time of the year so I don't think we'll hit 100,000 before Christmas.10.gif

Thanks vidioman! 98,298 now.

EDIT: Do you mean number of new members, SamFlash, or the site itself? Because it seems to be both.

2nd EDIT: 98,450 now.

34.gifHmmm... Maybe, but I guess we'll hit the 100.000 between 12 and 19 January.
We've now 98.473 members, so we need just 1.527 members to make a party here!1.gif
