that beacause the paths aren't done yet which is stated in the readme. since this is an expansion to the ave its taking a few seconds to draw the new texture. Thats what i think

anyways be patient there will be a update to the dat with the paths soon.

Hey-- I've got an idea! Instead of using the overhaed pole, you could use the regular Rush Hour road traffic light! It might fit on the tiny median, but it might not... Just an idea.9.gif

the US turn

lanes looked good
the only problems were that it took along time to draw
and the textures were dark everything else is good


the US would look more realistic if the were a little more like:

by the way the avenue wealth and density textures no longer change across an intersection

lakeyboy - no extra paths or RULes would need to be made for your australian texture - i would just need to supply the texture DAT file and it would use the left-drive RULes and paths.. but maybe you need to ask them nicely 9.gif plus id be patient, as said before i suppose its more important to have ONE left-drive and ONE right-drive version first of all

The problem is that the diagonal lines don't fit in with the rest of the avenue textures...they all have a median rather than stripes. IF someone is willing to change all the avenue median textures to center turn lanes and remove all props and redo the wealth levels it would look ok, but it would probably be best/faster just to make the turn lanes with a median 2.gif

well i think they are fine as they are.

btw none of us seen what it looks like with the cars driving on it yet since the paths aren't done yet

just have the median end where the strips begin
or fill in the strips on the current texture with a concrete texture
because it looks out of place with concrete curbs around stripped asphalt

sjh it would take a slight alteration of my textures to achieve what you are talking about..

you are talking about removing the kerb effect which was basically a perfect match to the in-game kerb that appears on both sides of one direction of an avenue

there kerbing would end before the turning lane texture tile - where the grass or other central reservation median ends

so id need to remove the kerb effect that appears along the striped median - and between the turning lane and other direction of traffic

i suppose it wont take long to make them small changes, it will look more realistic

well, hopefully i will have new textures for both the Crossroad and T-intersections uploaded for this mod tonight, once they are added it should remove the problems with it being darker on the USA version, and make minor improvements like yours

Which surprise? I see 2 surprises.
 
1. There are cars using the left turn lane
2. There are unemployment zots all over the place, which might mean the intersections don't work properly

oh the umemployment is caused by the commerial having a no car zot caused by the incomplete intersections

Ok. That's great that cars can drive on the intersections now, I can't wait for this to be finished, but I imagine it'll be awhile.

You should think about a traffic light mod that changes the style of the traffic lights to horizontal bar or wire ones instead of the post style. Also the new traffic lights could have left hand turn lights. I assume that would be difficult to configure, but it is just a thought. 3.gif

This is odd but... the last release worked fine for me. But I removed that and downloaded and installed this newest release just like you said and there are no turning lanes at all! What happened?
