Is anybody still working on them?

As far as I know, redlotus was working on them. We haven't had an update for some time. The real world catches up with all of us, eh?

I have confidence that these interchanges will be completed and ready for use in the NAM (and in SimMars) by the end of 2005. Hopefully sooner!

Y'all know - we could get this all done sooner if we had some more people with the skills needed to help. I urge anyone who knows how to build, skin, texture, RUL, and SC4Path interchanges to come forward. With more help - we could get this done before June '05.

Hrmm... I'm not sure if this is the place to post this at (or if problem has been addressed yet) but this problem is regarding one of the new interchanges. (i.e. lane jumping)

Pretty much self-explanitory...

it's a known bug, something about the way the interchange was designed isn't 100% perfect for how the paths work - in other words, it's too late to fix it as far as i could tell.

everything does work at least, just the paths look a little funny.

JT,

If that is the only thing holding you back from getting the NAM you are really missing out. Just the bridge pieces alone make it worth it.

First things first. What has happened to Tropod. Has he left simtrop again, gone on holiday, work overload. Does anyone know?

And second, you can click my sig to download the latest nam. The readme is in german but to get the english file, just don't add the german plugin to your plugins folder.

Tropod is currently having ISP issues (which have extended to his online storage) and cannot access the site.  Right now he doesn't know when he'll get things fixed, but he didn't expect it to happen soon.

For now, you can download the latest version of the NAM by clicking on the link in my sig.

Ahh its a shame Topod can't access the site

for such a great thinker you would think he'd find a way to improve on dial-up 10.gif

Those interchanges zdog20 shows would be terrific for the UK patch too... especially the ground highway/ground highway junction. Because there are a LOT of interchanges like that between motorways in the UK (eg the M5/M4 interchange, several on the M25, etc.) and UK motorways are almost all ground highways for SC4 purposes.

To be honest with you, these interchanges will not be ready for some time.  RLS (real-life syndrome) catches up with many of us, even the NAM modding team.  Tropod's having Internet problems.  redlotus is down with RLS, I believe.

So - I wouldn't look for these interchanges for a few months.

I've noticed that recently people have been looking around for mirrors to find the most recent NAM, and It's been rather difficult. So I'd really love to host your mod's most recent version on my own webspace . I'd probably be able to get around to creating some kind of Web-based upload interface where when you released a new one, you'd just go to some page or another and enter in a password of some kind to upload the file. But I've actually got an especially bad case of RLS (donate to the RLS foundation...) so I may or may not be able to get it uploaded immediately when you release a new one. Or I might be able to just do the Web-based interface. Or I might just be able to ramble along and along just like this post. :D

Suddenly I have this in mind, don't know if it's been discussed before. If it's an old idea and not practical then I'm truly sorry...

I'm thinking...since el-train rail and monorail in game are actually transit-abled flyovers which can go diagonally across roads, can we change certain properties and textures such that what came out are flyovers for cars? In that case, flyovers for cars can turn and go across roads diagonally too...

Of coz, i'm not saying replacing el-train and monorail with flyovers for cars...just creating a new item with similar properties...

Have this been explored? Thanks in advance1.gif

I uploaded the NAM on the STEX a few weeks back..it;s the 11.15.04 version (I think it's the latest). Should I update it to have the intersection file beta thing?
