Love the flyover - looks a lot better now. And did I see a ground rail to subway transition near Falmer?

Make your own mind up over what mods or cheats used here. The sheer scale is just amazing to behold. There'll never be a CJ like this again.

Isn't this a Sims diary? Still, either way, I'll enter - David, Athlete. (I'm not an athlete in the slightest, but... heh, could be interesting.) -
Nice to see some great buildings and plentiful updates, and I hope to see some more of this quality!
-
Nice use of very nasty terrain, though some of the avenues are a bit uneven in their ascent/descent: ReelBigFish has a good mod for that, I think. Nice mansions too! http://img138.echo.cx/img138/6186/page39vy.png width=138 border=0>

Really like the walkway and terraforming for Mayor's Hill - this CJ continues to be an inspiration!

Nice updates - a glorious R$$$ area, plus the airport is impressive (love the use of the avenue Y-stack). Uptown is great too - I suspect a few highway drivers have to watch out for flying balls from the soccer field by the highway though...

Thanks to kingsofsimcity for identifying the building, and to Darmok for yet another top-class update. Neat mid-rise buildings in the residential area - are they Maxis lots too, and if so are they from the European tileset too?

FIRST PICTURE UPDATE! Click on thumbnail for full-sized picture. [Mods: if this isn't an acceptable means of using pictures above 800x600, I'll shrink pictures to below that size in future.] THE PENINSULA TENNIS COMPLEX - home to the Peninsular International Open http://img183.echo.cx/img183/378/tennis16ma.th.png border=0> The main court, Court #1 or the Olympic Court, is jtportland's amazing Olympic Tennis Stadium. It stands out dramatically from the other courts with its ultra-modern design with a swooping roof covering the northern part of the bowl-like seating area. Equally distinctive is Court #2, to the north of Court #1 - built to resemble a castle, it provides a very haunting feel especially with a noisy crowd, and as a result there have been so many upsets the court is known as the Graveyard Court. Also visible in the picture are Court #5 (Court #3 and Court #4, out of picture, are built to an identical design by rockytron789, who also designed the Graveyard Court) and some of the outside courts, which barely draw a crowd mostly because they cannot accommodate one (and were originally intended for recreational use by Pegasus). The train station and beach are to the south of this picture and some commercial development is planned here, probably including hotels. -
Liking the frosty blue building in 3_02/3_03 (near the port) an awful lot - which one's that? Great updates as ever in a CJ that is now clearly established as part of the elite group of CJs that everyone envies.
-
Really like the bridge in the pictures of The Ridge. Nice use of BATs too - excellent development of what is becoming a tourist paradise.
-
Considering that we've been seriously nitpicking about the airport and it's the first criticism I can recall in this CJ, it's obvious how good it is. I think that says it all.

Maybe the extra jobs in farms are down to lots more EU subsidies? This CJ is looking every bit as successful as the 'non' campaign for the EU constitution...

Just to confirm that this CJ lives. Everyone should PM me with their rough plans to what they want to do with their area - probably quoting my plan below, for Area 23. This should include their proposed name for the area. PLAN FOR AREA 23 - Culiton RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT - low and medium density, with British terracing (from Gascooker's sets) combined with some European-style housing and apartments (from default European tileset). COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT - medium density along lake shore and some low density within residential areas (from default European tileset). INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT - some farming especially to the south. TRANSPORT - major railway junction near lake shore with rail links to all three neighbouring cities and SimNation. Irregular large grids with streets inside them for residential/commercial areas; no avenues or highways. UTILITIES - large water pump and solar power station, plus nearby recycling centre, to the south. OTHERS (including any buildings from STEX not already mentioned): tennis stadium (main court = JT Olympic Tennis Stadium by jtportland; other courts = 2x 'tennis stadium with stone towers ver.1' and 3x 'one championship tennis court', both by rockytron789; 4x PEG Tennis Park by pegasus) located just south of railway junction.
