I like it when people focus in on things that get overlooked in the game, like the graduating class. And closeup shots really remind us there's some great detail in the models. Nice job with your arrangements so far and nice choice of inspiring words. I'll check back for more!

I like how you used the canal pieces to make a sort of pond at the entrance of the university. I've seen a few colleges that have entrances like that, so it's very realistic. Also, nice placement of the custom trees around the campus, it looks good!

Cool, I love the way you laid out your gulf course through the housing districts.  9.gif

Wow, cool university. It's a Maxis university, but a cool university nonetheless! 44.gif

    SgtJoeDes - Thanks!

gabry85 -  The university isn't entirely Maxis, but thanks!

I had a busy week, to say the least, as my spare time was basically nonexistent. But it's the weekend now, so here goes:

Great lightning photoshopping, and I love that airport. It's a great antidote to Maxis!

I'm really sorry that you don't have a storyline to go with those pictures of yours. They're all great!

edmonton_stinks: Maxis is the enemy. Oh, and there's no storyline because my imagination has no storyline - it simply drifts around wherever it pleases.

    Callbat: Thanks!

    gabry85: Thanks!

    jacqulina: Thank you!

The Big Z: Realistic it is, thank you!

So yeah, I haven't posted in awhile, as you can see. I've been loaded down with all sorts of work in real life, but rest assured, I'm back to normal operating mode from here on out. I apologize for keeping you waiting for so long. That said, time for our next update...

Nice W2W's and diagonals in this update. This one is probably my favorite so far. Then again, the first one was a very good one, too. 3.gif Great use of the GLR, especially the part where it crosses those canals. Creative use of it indeed. And even though the grass textures don't quite match up in the last picture, I like the fact that you just didn't leave the ugly jagged edges of the road alone without putting anything next to it.

Wow, great. I like the use of custom content, it works very well together. Do you keep your cities you built in the last update, or do you just obliterate and build over it? That would be an interesting way to do it. Keep up the good work.

Nice use of the light rail. You should post a pic of the area a little more zoomed out to see how everything is layed out. Also, where did you find that control tower used in your airport?

Wonderful pics there! The whole airport layout is amazing; well done!

Try not to zoom too much, though.

ky72x: Thanks for the kind critique!

edmonton_stinks: Thanks, that's what I was aiming for.

    lucky7: Thanks!

Benedict: My inspirations are random, so you're never going to see any consistency with my choice words. Thanks for the compliment!

Joetropian1: I just have a generic grass region and build cities there. I don't obliterate anything, ever.

NMUSpidey: St. Petersburg? Interesting comparison, though I've never seen it before. Thanks!

bobinator: I will never post an overview unless the entire city is finished with. I only filled up about 20% of a small tile with this update. I believe you can find the control tower in one of the SWAP packs, if memory serves me correctly.

    Twenty20: Thanks!

Cobra_nVidia: There's no region, there's no city. Your third guess is spot on.

Sim_Air: Thanks! I only zoomed in on that update because of the amount of open space there was.

    s_olah: Thanks!

    ----

For this next update, I was basically playing around with the RHW tool and just decided to go full circle with an update. I filled up an entire medium tile with...uh, sprawl. Nasty, nasty sprawl.

Cool! Those suburbs are amazing, and I like the transportation networks. The RHW looks good, the weird avenues in the second last pic are just as interesting, and the suburban antigrid is well done.

Great work! That intersection looks intense! The highway is awesome, and the GLR in the middle of the canal is fantastic!
