Hey boys and girls, welcome to today's mini-update. Why mini?? The reason is that I am buzzzy re-creating NYC... AND: replies will be done within the next update next week, I hope I am forgiven.

Well, I just want to show you some pics of my progress at The Palisades and Lincoln Park/ NJ:

First off, the Christ Hospital at 176 Palisade Ave, Jersey City:

A little South of the Hospital is Underwood Ave/ Highway 139 on 2 floors winding along a canyon sharply cutting the cliffs:

Haven't been here in a while. The CJ is coming along fantastically. I love the region view on page two; that USGS map blew me away. I should have used a USGS map instead of editing the Maxis one.

Anyway, excellent work as always.

Well, this "mini" update sure had some mega-good shots.

Nice combination of the hospital, school, parking garage and lots, and those yet-to-be developed residential zones. However, I wouldn't of placed that road behind it, because a large drop-off next to those sidewalk paths on the hospital's lot are pretty unrealistic, not to mention dangerous! It still looks pretty good, though. The winding avenue is a pleasant change from straight networks, while those two overviews really show off your building talents. Keep it up, I'll definitely be back for more!

Again, don’t worry, just experiment and do and act- like in RL. Even though the game has its’ limitations you can pull so much out of it, really. Well, it was my intention to show the building-progress, even though I know that’s it a bit risky showing a CJ without any real development on the forum, as the majority of viewers measures a CJ according to it’s inhabitants=sims. Hoboken was originally an island, surrounded by the Hudson River on the east and tidal lands at the foot of the New Jersey Palisades on the west. It was a seasonal campsite of the Lenni Lenape.

The Lenape or Lenni-Lenape (later named Delaware Indians by Europeans) were, in the 17th century, organized bands of Native American peoples with shared cultural and linguistic characteristics.

These are the people who were living in what is now New Jersey and along the Delaware River in Pennsylvania, the northern shore of Delaware, and the lower Hudson Valley and New York Harbor in New York, at the time of the arrival of the Europeans in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries — and some continue to live in this area today. Their Algonquian language is known as either Lenape or "Delaware".

The Lenape practiced large-scale agriculture to augment a mobile hunter-gatherer society in the region around the Delaware River, the lower Hudson River, and western Long Island Sound. The Lenape were largely a sedentary people who occupied campsites seasonally, resulting in relatively easy access to the small game that inhabited the region: fish, birds, shellfish and deer. (…They also harvested vast quantities of fish and shellfish from the bays of the area. Very nice update there! the photoshop editing was good, it gives a sense of oldness to the pictures. I like how you hyperlink those important places and people to read about them in wiki. very interesting, interactive and educational. I can't wait for another update. take care
