Oh please.  Rap is one beat the through out the song.  While some bands, like Dream Theater, who practices 6 hours a day,  are a lot better than just one straight beat throught out the song.

I detest rap greatly!!quote>

Actually, no, they aren't.  Various rap songs have more than one beat throughout the song.  Regardless, I can't post any due to their rather questionable lyrics.quote>

It is also the lyrics.  They get on my nerves.  All they talk about is stuff like sex, drugs, killing, and just a lot of profanity.  quote>

You ought to listen to some underground rap, then.  Maybe The Coup, Deltron 3030, MF Doom (a.k.a. Viktor Vaughn), Asheru, Atmosphere, etc. if you're tired of the mainstream stuff.  Those guys have something to say...

An awful lot of rap is like that, but not all rap. Some counterexamples:

OutKast- Hey Ya

Jaheim- Anything

Shaggy- Keep'n It Real

R. Kelly- I Believe I Can Fly

The Chemical Brothers- Block Rockin Beats

Puff Daddy & The Family- I'll Be Missing You

(all songs I have, In case you were wondering)

mtv music. except metalish rock sounds. mainly what ever is played on mtv gets anoying. and also the fact that a so called "Music Television" doesn't even play music half the time; instead, unReality shows. god that gets anoying. so i like Fuse more.

and sometimes i think that a good part of the music industry has gotten to caught up with the money thies days. which in turn lead to *bad word* unorigional music.

It is also the lyrics. They get on my nerves. All they talk about is stuff like sex, drugs, killing, and just a lot of profanity.

oh my friggen yes that is so darn true. i agree heavily on that one.

oh by the way, i'm a musician in the traning... haha \|/ down \|/ and i'm not at all planning to do any of it at all for money. so me and my buddies willl have a clear mind to acualy make something worthwhile with listening to. have a good day. peace.

This has got to be the most annoying song in history...so annoying in fact I wanted to strangle that jackass who sang it, or run him over with my car if I ever saw hi walking down the street...."Don't Worry, Be Happy!" by Bobby McFerrin in 1988

These songs make me die a little inside every time I hear them

Quicksilver - Get On Up (horrible sounds and tones, and the sped-up voice sample is awful)

Charlie Lownoise and Mental Theo - Stars (Hardcore Mix) (It can't be described... you'd have to hear it for yourself)

Wang Chung - Everybody Have Fun Tonight (I'm not having fun)

The Scotchman - Asylum (Porn for music? No.)

Ridge Racer - Rotterdam Nation (It's just the same thing over and over, and the high pitched, reversed voice is a no-no)

2 Damn Tuff - Techno City (just flat-out poor DJing)

Soulja Boy - Crank Dat (Rap = Not music)

Kelis - Milkshake (I'm avoiding that yard at all costs)

Baha Men - Who Let The Dogs Out? (Smithers, release the hounds, and have them drive these terrible rappers back to where they came from)

All those want to make me go outside and kick puppies for an hour... but 'Stars (Hardcore Mix)' takes the cake, it makes me want to go postal. 32.gif

" Move *****"-Ludacris

It's a silly song, certainly, though not a bad one. And it is one I have.

So, assuming 1 point for first naming a song I have and 5 points for first naming a song where I have the whole album, this is the scoreboard:

kawan            11

zelgadis          6

TV-VCR           1

Come on! We need more competition!9.gif

Anything by the Grateful Dead. Since everything sounds pretty much the same, it doesn't seem to matter if I list individual pieces of noise.

Has anyone mentioned the most played song in the 90's? You know, that one that started a dance craze that lasted all of a year before radio finally quit playing it? It also rang in 13 weeks at No#1 on the BillBoard Hot 100 singles chart...I shudder to type in the name, but the pain in the ears song was Macarena by Los Del Rio.

You're the first to mention it. And since I have it, you get a point.

Scoreboard:

kawan 11
zelgadis 6
TV-VCR 1
blade2k5 1

There was this soft hits woman singer cd that they listened to at my school for like two and a half weeks. Drove me nuts. Dido had a song on it, Celine Dion had two. I wish I knew the other one's title and singer because it was one of the WORST songs I've ever heard... She stops singing halfway through it to give listeners some sort of inspirational talking to. Ugh.

Oh, anything by Macy Gray is seriously annoying. Like, cd-smashing, flying into a red, blood-filled haze annoying.

^^^Nuh uh. Not falling for that one. Never click on a link on someone's post if it directs to YouTube.

The song isn't annoying, although the meme based on it is overused. Ought to be saved for circumstances where people actually deserve it, not just thrown about randomly. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing... and it this case it goes from funny to stupid.

But I find it pretty annoying, both the meme and the song.

At least click the 2nd link... it's the same song with a Nintendo twist.

BTW, Soulja Boy is not a bad song --- in some cases as Ellie pointed out. Also BTW, I love Primus. If anyone didn't get my last comment: Primus actually started "Primus Sucks!" chants at concerts.

Here are 2 songs that are plaguing my school (some have been doing so for years):

Dance, Dance - Fall out Boy -- I hate this song SO much.

Through The Fire and Flames - Dragonforce -- Why does anyone like this? It's so cheesey. The guitar is highly over-rated. It's not even good shred.
