Hello!
I will be using this thread as my way of keeping everyone up to date on any project that i am working on or anything that is going on in the Simtrop world!

    Nice-But i advise you not keep on double and even triple posting-Have you read the forum rules,besides if you follow the rules you'll get more popular and you will get regulars on your threads-Its allways good to wait a night before you update 2.gif

    The BAT looks nice-I assume these are not final textures 4.gif

    I also don't see the point in having two threads if your posting the same things in both of them :?

    Yeah, it's much better to edit previous posts.

    Proportion wise, the real building looks to be more slender. Also remember that what you model will need to be 133% times taller than the real height in order to look proportionally correct, because of the game's viewing camera.

    you are on the right track. you just need a good texture and some roofing details. And this BAT is perfect, great modelling btw!

    I Did some Texturing on One Riverside Drive just to get a feel of what the building will look like. The Glass needs ALOT of work.   I plan on doing a test Render somtime tonight and then il post it after my Hockey game.

    jayo: thanks for the advise. Im still getting the hang of all of this thread stuff, and you would be correct they are not the final textures in that shoot. 4.gif

    bbfan02: stubby works. its only a 12 floor building. it was supposed to be 32 floors but in true windsor style it got chopped down

    I made a bit of progress on One Riverside Drive last night. i rescaled it and fixed a few bugs, i still have a few more the pic out and fix though.

    The rippling effect looks really cool. I'm not sure how realistic it is to have ripples glass, in real life it would be impossible to see out of a window like that, but for SC4 it might work ok. Very cool indeed!

    Jawood: i get what your saying about the glass but im really not a photoshop pro so i can only use the textures that i can dig up lol.

    uhh...i wouldn't advise trying to photoshop fancy window tricks. Just try to get somthing realistic an good looking. Other than that you've got a great start!

    I did a test export of One Riverside Drive. the test went good. the building is still lacking Jobs and night nights though. there is a screen shot posted on the Windsor London Thread.

    I have stuck with the rippled glass texture for now unless anyone is willing to post one that they think its better.

    This is what the real building looks like I know theres a better window texture out there i just have to fined it.

    Sorry about the lack of updates this weekend. had a busy life over 3 days, Im working more on One Riverside Drive, it should be out around the end of the week. Same with the the New Name and Logo For the Windsor/London stuff. Right Not Windsor and Detroit are getting ounded with a blizzared so (fingers Crossed) there wont be school tomorrow, this might free up some time to finish One Riverside and work more on the the casino.

    This Is my Progress so far on the Casino. It still needs a lot of work. but as you can see its coming along ok. at least i think it is

    Sorry to post 2 times in a row everyone but it tought you all should know that The Windsor/London Project is now getting its official Name and logo tomorrow sometime. It will be followed by a New BAT on STEX. Keep an eye on things!

    Well One Riverside Drive Is now out and being downloaded. It is Part of the CKLW Project. There will be one more of my Bats coming out very very soon. Its another Windsor Landmark. Keep a eye out. Thanks to everyone for there input into One RIverside Drive!

    I Added on to Herman today. the New Parts dont have a Texture on them yet. I added Some Roof Junk around the pool area and some on the front of the building, The school doesnt have alot of roof junk though because of the boiler room under the building. I also added the smoke stack Small Gym and the Roof Storage room above the school. Also i Added the Big Doors for the Auto Shop at the back of the school. Im having trouble Fineding good textures for the roof Anyone have any suggestions? What do you think of the school so far?

    Most of the time, roofs will have what are called parapet walls. Basically the wall will continue beyond the roof. This extra bit of wall has to do with how the roof is waterproofed, and how water flows on roof. Also, a lot of the time (but not always) a the top of the wall will have flashing on it. Flashing is basically a waterproofed cap, like a little mini-roof for the wall. The walls themselves are about .3 meters thick. To see examples of this in BATs, most of mine have these features.

    For textures, the ones you have now could possible work, but you'll need to edit them to fit your building.

    I call it "The Marquee". what do u think? i still need to lot it and export it but that should be done soon. i think its ready for the stex what about you?

    I think the scale is really off.

    The colors of the textures (except for that white roof) are working well together, but how the textures are actually fitting isn't working out too good. You'll need to apply UVW Map modifiers to fit minor textures properly, and for important textures you should really make custom ones.

    This is my First Export of the Marquee. I think it lookes pritty good. I re-sacled (thanks jason). I changed the marquee on the bottom the the RHCP. I also added a sign on top to give it a more classic look. I also Changed the roof. Its getting close
