Patriots, Golden State Warriors play at Oakland Arena which has a capacity of 19,200

Originally posted by: football_fever Suns-Celts was a good game. Because of the late start I got to see most of it at work. Shaq scored 4 points, but got 14 rebounds. That's some presence there, eh? KG and Staudemire were shoving all night, and I really didn't know who was going to win until the Suns pulled away at the end. I still love KG and I think the Celts will easily win the east, but I'll say what many have said all season: Wait until they play some western teams. Wait until they take a road trip through Texas... quote>

O'Neal 4 points?! Pulled in 14 rebounds but it looks like Stoudemire was the man who got the Suns over the line with 28 points.

Can't wait for the Spurs V New Orleans tonight 9.gif

Basketball is the least favorite of my sports though. Maybe it's because I've had the Twolves here my whole life rather than an awesome team. Maybe it's because it's the only sport that I'm horrible at...ok, that's just why I'm not a big basketball fan, but I'm not an NBA fan for a slew of reasons. Besides their salaries being so much higher than other sports, their a bunch of spoiled whiny rich athletes that barely play on the court. There are a handful of players in the NBA that hustle every play, fight for every rebound, and run down the court after the ball. They're not playing for anything other than their salary.quote>

I feel sorry for you having the Timberwolves... Players do get paid  too much and they are snobs, that's why i like the 36ers in my own country's league. May not compare in skill, but still entertaining 4.gif

College basketball is the purest form of the game availible right now. Some may be playing to get into the NBA, but nearly all of them won't. They're playing for pride, for their school, for a championship - because they only have a few years of this before the real world will hit them hard in the face. That being said, I can't wait for Memphis vs. Tennessee tonight...#1 vs. #2...fierce rivals...the only undefeated team vs. the team that ALWAYS beats them....quote>

Definately agree, you can't go wrong with College. Love watching the games and the crowd, well, it would be awesome to play infront of that kind of crowd 3.gif

Pats: I did know about the Celts being 16-0 against Western teams until the last three, but I didn't know if they'd played the Spurs or any of the Western powerhouses yet.

Speaking of the Spurs, they beat a mighty good Hornet's team tonight. Looks like they may be the team to beat again this year.

On the College Basketball front, the Tennessee vs. Memphis game was all it was hyped to be. If you haven't seen the highlights, check them out at ESPN.com or something. WOW. Several lead changes, tenacious defense from both teams, they were both dunking and driving...Memphis scored a ton of threes in a row, but was once again dismal at the free throw line. It came down to the last minutes and TN won 66-62. Compare that to the highlights of the Denver-Milwaukee game right after, and it's a case-in-point of why NCAA is more exciting than the NBA. Guys from both teams barely moved under the net, they seemed to give up when someone was driving on them, or else they'd foul him with very little effort. It's sad, really...

Ooh the King got injured. Hope he is ok. His new lineup still sucks as much as the other one.

Cant wait for tomorrow with Mavs vs Spurs matchup!

Dirk and Jason Terry have both benifitted greatly from Jason Kidds arrival.

Celts on a 3 game win streak, with 4 straight games at the TD Banknorth Garden on the Red Auerbach Parquet.

Things are going good in beantown...

and unlike the bruins, they don't have a *****ty advertising campaign (bruins="Push 4 the Playoffs!")

    ...mavs...lose...again...

Dirk looks good, Bass looks good, idk whats wrong with this team...

Questionable calls from the refs might be one. Jason Terry got shafted one a play when he hits a lay up, some Spurs player (Robert Horry?) bats the ball which had just bounced off the backboard and was going in and the Spur splayer knocks it out, then crashes into Terry. No foul, no goaltending. One technical for Jason Terry. One Technical for Avery Johnson. Thanks refs.

Several other calls at the end which were full of crap but oh well...

Best PG in the NBA Rajon Rondo had 16 assists last night in a 108-100 celtics win.

Celtics sign Sam Cassell , unknown when he will debut.

But he gives good insurance for rondo-best-pg-ever and is someone who won't mess up the character of this team.

GOD...the Mavricks completely mortgaged their future to win a championship THIS year, and now they might not even make the playoffs...dipheads...

I would rather have a team be a consistently perienial contender for a decade and win one championship than be like the Marlins and win 2 championsships and suck the rest of the time for ten years.

0-4 slide is not good , even against good teams.

they have 5 patsies at home coming up ( except maby houston ( how are they on a roll after loseing Ming for the season? ))

they realy need to win all of these since thier next 5 after that are boston, Pheonix, LA and Utar again.

BOOOO SPURS!!! I just dont like them lol. Dangit Dirk got suspended for that flagrabt foul in Utah. honestly just bad luck for all sides; he jumped at a pump fake, reached back without looking and clothelined AK 47 on accident, hurting Ak's hip.

Celts topple Piss-tons and clinch playoff spot. KG had 31, Rajon (Best Point Gaurd In the NBA) Rondo had 19.

15.gif God I saw this coming, the Mavs just arent very good...and now we wont have any draft picks to help rebuild. This is the 80s all over again!@!!!@!@ Good team sells its future then endures a decade of absolute freaking suckiness and futility.

Lebron in 2010 or whenever he becomes a free agent? lol thats our only hope.

Lebron will be coming to Boston, cuz then the big 3 will be on the decline but him and other players will be in their prime.

    HAHAAAA not going to happen.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but i don't think the Celtics can afford another $30 mill contract on top of Garnett's, Allen's and Pierce's contracts..

LeBron James is happy in Cleveland.

LeBron won't leave Cleveland. I saw a thing on ESPN and he was defending the Cavs and how he wants to win the Finals IN CLEVELAND!
