Sorry I'm not sure that I was clear. The problem isn't really the parking. That's fine. Plenty of room for the five cars. What I mean is that vehicles entering the drive in entranceway would have to make a huge swerve around the parked vehicles. I'm not sure if you've meant that vehicle entrance to be a loading bay or the entrance to underground parking, but it really doesn't matter. If that's a parking garage than it would be impossible to have one car entering and one leaving at the same time because the parked vehicles outside would make a bottleneck. It would quickly result in a no parking zone on the right. If, on the other hand, the entrance is a loading bay, it's a little less of a problem since not many vehicles would be using it. However, if a large delivery truck was trying to unload something it would have difficulty getting past the vehicles and into the bay.

So in either case, it just doesn't look natural to me having those cars parked there on the right half blocking the parking garage/loading bay entrance. If it were me I would do one of four things.

1. Get rid of those two cars.

2. Move the entrance so that it lines up with the empty centre of the parking area.

3. Make those two cars parrellel park along the right edge so that they're not obstructing the entrance.

4. Go back to the parking lots previous alignment.

Maybe it's just me though. I'll leave it to your judgement and I'll say no more about it. I know this is really nitpicky. This BAT is awesome whatever you decide do with the cars.

Anywaywy here's something i whipped up yesterday:

images are a bit to big so i'll send links instead,

    Pic1

    Pic 2

    Pic 3

heh , wanted to make a sorta unqiue Subway station, with glass roof  showing all the inside detailing.

and i made 3 roundabout center pieces:

    normal_roundabout_center_sculpture4.jpg

    normal_roundabout_center_station9.jpg

AS for this roundabout with the glass dome, the ideas was to make it look like forexample the skylight for a pedestrian underpass or even some of the walkways in a subway station, cool eh?

    1_roundabout_centerpiece_model2.jpg

one normal one i based of a roundabout arround here.

Your subway station looks great, but I think you need to some more support for you roofs.

I will try to post an idea for some columns that could look at bit more realistic, but still not take the view down to all the things on your platforms.

Here is a corrected link to Pic 3.

If the structural elements used in supporting the roof are trusses they would barely show Due to the nature of a truss.

Hey, your night lights are getting better and better! 4.gif

I won't say the tower looks good because it doesn't - but it's a great BAT!

One question: Did you make the base fit a particular lot size perfectly? I'm asking because it's terribly hard to make a lot for a building with a landscaped base that has been BATted. BATted and LOTted base are very hard to make to blend into each other, so when you BAT everything around the building, it's a good idea to stick to the SC4 grid and see that you fill the entire lot. 2.gif

That's an impressive piece of ugly architecture. It'll make a great BAT even if it's not pleasing to the eye.

Odd: lol, well I don't remember that I have been there yet.

Glenni: Love the balconies, maybe a little deep. Some of the lower ones, must be very dark. Add some plants to some of them.

I just noticed the guy peeing on the tracks in your see-through subway station. Hmm...nice detail, but if it is that yellow, I think he needs to see a doctor! 3.gif

havent worked on it lately,i havent completely stopped though, anyway i batted something from my hometown today,it aint quite accurate as now the building is rather stripped for beatyful details that it used to have...

    Hi glenn,

Nice buildings you have there. Definatly got something going there.

btw I just started at Agder University College, and bought myself a new Laptop. I am just going to buy an addittional 1gb's of RAM before I start playing SC4 again.

That also means that I'll start BAT'ing..

I am studying "construction designs and urban/regional planning" were we also learn architechture, we use Autocad and googlescetchup(more for fun) then i guess, I'll have to learn how to BAT..

I did start making some small houses way back, but I have more or less forgotten it.. I'll contact you on msn when i need some help..

    later
