Lots of great stuff here again! 4.gif I liked that trail that leads up to the tennis courts a lot. Your use of road curves is always outstanding, and that sure proves to be true here. It looks very realistic as it bends around the small hillside. Lastly, the shots of the church and bay complete this update nicely. 9.gif

Phil! 9.gif Wow man, I am a little late for downtown update! awww ya know..school bites most of your time. Anyways here I am and all I can say is "Beautiful" What a cute downtown! I love the waterfront area with all the industrial stuff and the old looking of downtown. What a nice city you have built..and the rural areas make me wanna cry! They are so cute and peaceful looking. Can't wait to see next update and catching it in time lol.

I have been waiting for a long time for Downtwon to come and I am happy to see the results. Great work dude!

WOW! this is such a nice cj! since the beginning (I read all the way through 2.gif) I noticed that you hate grids.. and I do too! I love the way you build your farmalands and suburbs. Great job!

Hey Phil! I really like what you've got going here, most certainly a top notch CJ, it has a general consistency that I personally like, everything blends and not a single tile looks out of place.

well, keep it up! and I await your next update 2.gif

Beautiful looking suburbs, very realistic.

I really like the winding road along the coast line and the small homes that dot the countryside, would be the perfect location to live.

I really like the way you have built your towns up .. very well done.

    Replies

GreekMan: Thanks a lot for stopping by again, GreekMan. Well, you can call me just Phil if you like 2.gif. I'm glad you liked the pictures, even though they were taken a little bit out of context.

Benedict: Thank you Benedict. I thought I had to put something big into that suburban environment to make it more exciting. Good to know that it's working. Thanks for visiting again, my friend. See ya!

xV.I.N.C.E.N.T.x (twice): Hey Vin! Thank you very much for your comments, buddy. There are plenty of these waterfront properties here in Sterling, I'm sure there will be one waiting for you too. I know my updates come slow these days... I didn't have a lot of time to play the game recently and that probably won't change until after Christmas unfortunately.

NMUSpidey: Hey man! How could you miss it? 4.gif It's great to see you back anyway and I'm glad you liked the update and the teasers.

fabsies55: Thank you for your great compliment! Good to know that you like the realism...

tantesidonia: Welcome to my CJ, tantesidonia. Thank you for commenting. Like xV.I.N.C.E.N.T.x already pointed out, these corners are puzzle pieces from the Network Addon Modd (NAM) which can be found on the STEX or on sc4devotion.com. Read the readme to find out how to build them.

ky72x: Hey Kyle, thanks a lot for stopping by again. I'm glad you liked the teasers... sometimes I have the feeling that I tend to overdo it with the curves. I'm glad you like it though. Take care my friend!

asturianu: Hey Cristian! I know how school can affect ST time. Thank you very much for your always great comments buddy! And I'm really glad you're not disappointed with Downtown... I know how long you had been waiting for it. Stay tuned for more developments in that area too. Take care!

manubeas: Welcome to Sterling, manubeas! It makes me happy to read that someone really takes the time to read through the first couple of pages too (well I know, there aren't very many of them yet). You're right, I'm not very fond of griddiness... that's because where I live, we usually don't have grids. Luckily there isn't a lot of that in Vermont either. However, you might notice a little bit more griddiness in this update. I hope you still like it!

toki.s: Thank you so much for your great compliment toki.s! I hope to see you again here in Sterling. Thanks again.

roboo1: That's correct 4.gif. And you have to visit Switzerland once, it really is a beautiful country. Thank you for your great comment (I don't think I can retype that it in Polish... 4.gif).

newyorkrunaway1: Well, thank you for your honest feedback... I really appreciate these kind of comments. I'll see what I can do about your suggestions. I hope to see you again soon.

jacqulina: Thank you so much Jacky. I know we all take time for our updates... the details here aren't really time consuming though. It's rather that I always go back to things and change them when they're already done. I'm never happy 4.gif lol. Thanks again for stopping by my friend, your comments are always very appreciated.

Fox: Hey Fox! It's great to see you here... and I'm glad you like my towns. Maybe you notice some more SMI influences... I think especially in this update it is obvious (I don't try to copy you though 4.gif). Thank you for your great comment! And I hope to see you around sometime. - Phil

I finally have another full update for you guys (and gals)! Thank you so much to everyone who's been commenting, you're amazing. I hope you all enjoy the full 10-picture-update.

    Update 3.2: Lavigne

Last time I left you with Downtown Sterling. In this update you're going to see the northern parts of town, generally referred to as Lavigne.

^ Maybe you remember Sterling Church.

That was it for now from Lavigne. In the next full update, I'll probably show you the south end... thank you for your visit everyone. Comments and feedback are very welcome!

I am loving this update - you have captured the small town New England feel so perfectly. Makes me want to go up there and see the leaves change and come back with maple syrup.

Wow, nothing like looking for my reply and then realizing that I never commented...sorry, Phil

Another stunning update, you've captured the small town feel so perfectly. I think I say that every time, but it's still true. The spacing between lots, the choice of buildings...everything fits so nicely. It's hard to say more than that...great job!

Lavigne looks like a quaint town. I like how the foci of the town seem to be the churches as opposed to articifically big commercial zones.

I am very pleased to see a journal centered around Vermont, my home state (now living in South Carolina). You are actually making it even more beautiful than it already is; quite a trick. Everything is so nicely laid out and just flows so well. Great job friend!
