Hi, haven't posted here for... Wow probably somewhere near a year now. I've engrossed myself in Beyond the Sword for Civ 4 lately but I've decided to keep an updating place for my screens here, so I'll just get straight to it...

These first few are from my newest region, downloading from the STEX as "Cloudhaven", the first city being Reve, with a population of 13,084.

    Thanks for the replies guys!

abcvs: Yeah, my hometown is alot like that, when there was an influx of Swedish and Polish immigrants during the second world war, and now with a huge asian boom.

nottheboss: Oh yeah. I've had Civ since 06 but still cant get much higher than Warlord difficulty :/

Interesting work there Mr. CKSmooth.. I do however suggest smoothing out or leveling some terrain.....That one soccer field looks like its on brick stilts. LOL.. But hey....definitely for the most part it's an interesting CJ... Ill be back more to seee progress....Keep up the good work friend. 4.gif

CKSmooth, you should check out the War Academy at Civfanatics.com. That place is the best for Civ-related info and downloads. (I'm still languishing at Warlord level myself2.gif) Anyways, I like what I see here. Those are some interesting closeups. Now, how about some wider shots? Let's see what else you got!

Hey, nice to see a CJ not going bananas with custom content 2.gif This was nice, you even got the Maxis tenenments to look good, but as mentioned, the football field looks a little misplaced... Hope to see more from you mate!

KingTitan: Thanks, but some places in the real world have to build fields like that. Leveling terrain doesn't always give a more beautiful appearance, especially in my case.

NMUSpidey: Thanks! I'll definitely check that out.

nottheboss: Thanks, that's what I shoot for.

I apologize for the long pauses, and thank those with patience and good taste 3.gif for tuning in. These first few pictures are from an old project that I quickly updated and snapped some photos of; my hometown, Vancouver BC. It's pretty accurate but for the most part it was meant to be fictional and not stay true to real life (except leaving Stanley Park one big forest, which I did)

And now a couple pictures of the previous region's work, Cloudhaven:

This one I just had to show; it was a crazy pile of no-dependancy-boxes that showed up in place of trees after deleting Cycledoggs Tree Modds and placing a forest:

Thanks for all the comments guys!

I have but one question I'd like to throw out there to aid in my buildings of les cities.

What is one major criticism that you think would make the pics/city planning better?

Hmmmm, maybe to have a vision for the overall look and feel for how you want it to end up first. Then, select the zoning and buildings and such to go with your vision. SC4 and RL both let sprawl get the upper hand quickly. Kinda take your time and let the sims whine a while so you can get things just the way you want them.

Hmm, thanks for the advice, it was interesting! I'll try and implement that... it's hard to find a BAT standard here as many dependancies just vanish from the exchange. But stayed tuned for some more pics sometime.
