Wow, how do you spell TMI? This is going to be moderated for sure.

[Yup it sure is...] 19.gif

This is a CJ (a damn good one) and not the place for insulting each other, nonconstructive criticism, talks about virginity, STIs, religion, childhood issues, or stereotyping. Please grow up, and don't post here unless it's positive feedback or constructive criticism.

General Comment To All.

Copper Basin is a very well written, entertaining City Journal.  As such, it deserves the respect it has earned and the admiration its followers deservedly give it.

A City Journal is NOT and NEVER should be used as a forum in which people shout, flame, bicker and otherwise make fools of themselves.

If this MUST be done, do it by private messaging and KEEP IT OUT of a public City Journal.

Please respect seemurray2 for the time and effort he has put into posting his City Journal and keep arguments OUT of it.  They have no place in a City Journal or, for that matter, anywhere else on Simtropolis.

Thank you.

Regards,

Vandy

Hi there Seemurray! I allways love desert cities in SC4 ( i had one before -was trying to recreate Seagraves, Texas) So Copper Basin looks great! One thing is little bit strange to me - this regional shot - that airport (whitch is great by the way) looks the same size as a city! I hope you'll get more development soon 4.gif Good luck!

Where did you get the desert modd from?  And can you apply it to an existing city?  I like deserts, but I also like my cities of Seraphim Falls and Andrewstown.  If I could have them rising out of a painted desert, that would be great -- but not if the desert modd obliterated them!

Here is another real update for you, this one features some new suburbs just south of the downtown area, hope you enjoy.

nazaguy - hehe, I think you're right!  Thanks for commenting!

gabry85 - Thank you, yeah it's hard to notice the canyon river.  Most of the region will be suburbs, I will leave some empty spaces though -  thanks!

panthersimcity4 - I said I was sorry, what more do you want!  3.gif

Jill Jacobs - Barneysaurus Rex and all the other dinos have officially retired and will not be making another appearance on this cj, hope you enjoyed them!  2.gif

lucky7 - Thanks for the comment, see ya!

ky72x - Yeah, I thought Barney got slam dunked to death by Charles Barkley a few years ago.  LOL  Thanks!

packersfan - thanks!  Glad you like my region view and airport - it took forever for that thing to be finished!

Dsrwhat316 - Thanks, see you around then!

    lucky7 - Thanks again!

gurrgkud - Thanks!  I'm glad you think it's a pretty accurate replica of the Southwest - see you later!

deion30296 - Thanks for commenting again!

    supercity124 - Thank you!

gabetx - Thanks, glad you like it and the "Mike" story!  Here is some more!

Jill Jacobs - Thanks babe!  I am going to have to make you the chief of police for Copper Basin, so you can lay down the law for all those people too!  3.gif

Vandy - Thanks again for the great post, Vandy!

    nihonkaranws - Thank you!

lucky7 - Thanks! Here is the update for you!  hehe

jacqulina - Thanks Jacky!  Hehe, I'm not sick - I'm glad you know that!  I will try!

Almighty Nienaber - Thanks, and I didn't see any spelling errors!  lol

Criquette - Hey, thanks!  Yeah, the airport is a little overbearing right now, but I think when it's all finished it should balance out nicely!  (I hope)  lol

    abcvs - Thanks Nursinator!

shakespearewales - As you already know, I PM'ed your answer, and thanks for commenting!

    superchad - Thanks!

I will just let the pictures do the talking for now, before I ruin them with my comments!  lol

Wow, what a great update, the pics are really beautiful and everything is so well incorporated! The whole area looks so realistic!! May I ask where you got the houses on the 5th picture from? Is it some kind of Med. set, 'cause they look really good... ! Great use of the new shopping-mall, this fits in very nicely! Looking forward to more,

    lucky7

Great, realistic looking suburbs. I've been eager to see you fill out the rest of your region. I like your use of houses and the use of the new mall (I forget what it's called), which is in a great setting along side a highway.

As for some of the side comments above from folks I'll leave nameless, I honestly say this is one of most realistic cj's on ST.

    Keep up the good work,

    Dan

Jill Jacobs, that was one hell of a post.  Hopefully the members in question can learn from your insightful views. 2.gif

Now that is definitely lot editing at it's best, right there. 19.gif Although you've shown most of the custom lots in this great looking suburban town already, I'm still taken aback with the realism that pops out from these pictures.  Nice showcasing of JaWood's new mall, especially with all of the parking and extra retails and restaurants that you added to the premises.  Seriously, I can barely tell that they're separate from the actual mall lot! 4.gif Mission accomplished, Chris. 3.gif

And very nice pictures they are too...  I was wondering where you got the water from to irrigate all those nice trees... and fill all the swimming pools, but then you very helpfully posted your region pic with the resevoiur lake...  have to be careful though, I think water in this area is a very precious commodity.  Do they have to put any water restrictions in place?

Here is the updated region pic again, this time with highway guides:

    Meridiannew2.jpg

Also, I wanted to re-post the map of Arizona I showed early on in the cj for those who may have missed it - and for myself, because Copper Basin is actually located in the Mohave Desert, not the Sonoran - so I had to change my sub-title:

    AZCopperBasinMap.jpg

    Thanks again,

    Chris

Ooo this is what I've been looking forward to, seeing those burbs fill in! Keep it going! The only thing, maybe leave a little more room in between the houses and big box stores? Just a suggestion...
