Currently I am experiencing a strange craving for more Greater Terran Region, so you better jam-pack your next update, or I might just go berserk! 3.gif

Okay another quick update for everyone.

I have managed to restore a ton of content!  I have repaired every update excluding updates:

-Update 49: The 10,000 views spectacular

    And:

-Update 50: a special huge update.  I am very sad to see it gone 15.gif

If anyone can see these updates in a cached page, please PM ASAP!

The Table of Contents (introduction) still needs some work too.  Once I am done fixing up that, I will post a new update.  I hope it will satisfy your cravings!

In addition, I have reactivated my Mayor's Diary over at SC4D, which was shut down nearly 3 months ago.  This will not only help "advertise" The Greater Terran Region, but will also act as a failsafe should something like this happen again to either site.  There is a new link in my signature to it.

Anyways, Update 53 is on its way!  Just a little longer!

    Best,

    -Haljackey

Patricius Maximus:  All right, thanks for your comments!

un1:  Thank you very, very much!

Smarty218:  Thanks!  Oh, and that RHW Texture can be found on SC4D's LEX.  Here is the link:

    https://www.sc4devotion.com/csxlex/lex_filedesc.php?lotGET=1589

-Also, thanks so much for your help getting the CJ restored!  (But I guess it has all been lost again 3.gif)

etherian:  Yep, it always does! 4.gif

-Streets are in this CJ, but are rare due to the high amounts of traffic.  (I turned off advisors 3.gif)

Mikeaut1: Hey, great to see you here!  Thanks a ton for all your comments!

edmonton_stinks:  Glad you agree.  Thanks a lot!

nihonkaranws:  I hope I can satisfy your craving!

    Update time!

In this update, I have zoned a new area for development south of the river, just north of the sunken highway.  The rolling hills in the area and the proximity to the coast, transportation and the CBD will increase the overall land value.

News:  It looks as though all the restoration I did was for nothing.  All updates have been cut off once again and a weird "code" has replaced them.  I hope the posts are automatically restored!

    Pictures:

Click on the Images to view them in FULL RESOLUTION!  (Please see my PICTURE INFORMATION on my first post on this page if you are new here.  Thanks!)

A look at part of the new zoned area.

The other side of the new area.  Note how quickly development comes.

    TerranSettlement-Jun26251211584344.jpg

Soon after zoning, the area pretty much becomes a huge construction site!

    TerranSettlement-Jul31251211584403.jpg

The new station is open for business!

-Also, how many curved pieces are used in this picture? The correct answer will come in the next update!

    TerranSettlement-May8251211583861.jpg

What's this, a seaport in the making?

    TerranSettlement-Dec29251211768981.jpg

    Sunset over organized chaos.

    Great update, Hal 44.gif

Sorry about the restoration problems, but, once again, this CJ will come back from the dead 1.gif

There are 5 RHW curves, 2 road curves, and 2 avenue curves. 9 overall.

Also, where did you get those sound walls? I'd like to know.

    Looking forward to more...

Sorry about your CJ, but I still like the way you would try your best to make it alive again.

Just a question, where did you get the great avenue and highway curves?

Oh no, not again! I'll try to find another way of getting all those files back.

Great update! I love the curvy highways and that peninsula!

un1:  Thanks a lot!  10 Pieces is very close...

mightygoose:  MHW-WRC.... Took me a bit to understand that one.  Thanks!

anarchy0029:  Yes it is.  I have many transit maps posted, but most in this CJ are gone due to the site being unstable.  Don't worry, I have some backup files to restore a lot of this CJ!

Patricius Maximus:  Hey, thanks a lot!  Restoration will be slow, but I hope it works!

-9 Pieces is CORRECT!  Have this: 40.gif

Twenty20:  Thanks!  Glad you think its impressive!

thinboy66:  Its okay.  Thanks a lot for your help though!

-The curves are in the latest NAM.  Just press TAB in the avenue/highway custom junction tabs until you find them!

    caspervg:  Thanks a lot!

Smarty218:  Again, thanks for your help with the restoration.  I hope to restore much of the GTR sometime soon...

edmonton_stinks:  10 pieces is very close... There is no rail curve, though.

    Update time!

So... As many of you may know I have been quite busy making a very large, realistic interchange similar to Mightygoose's RHW stack in the Show Us Your Interschanges thread.  I have been trying to make something similar, a RHW Cloverstack that is UDI-compatible and 99% RHW (the other 1% being one-ways for overpasses and tunnels).

But, I do have an update for ya!  Again, sorry about the wait.

-As well, restoration efforts are slow as of now. ST has become unstable as you all know, so I don't want to restore everything to see it all deleted again...

    Pictures:

Click on the Images to view them in Full Resolution (1920x1200)!  (Please see my PICTURE INFORMATION on my first post on this page if you are new here.  Thanks!)

Urban planners underestimated the number of lanes needed for this overpass.  Traffic is terrible, and the area hasn't even completely developed!  The road has been widened in all areas but the overpass.

    TerranSettlement-Jun23281212119288.jpg

That's better, eh?  There is a 1 tile shift between the highway, and designers thought it would be better to put it in the undeveloped south rather than demolish development in the north.

    TerranSettlement-Sep3281212119538.jpg

Construction takes place near the busy highway:

    TerranSettlement-Nov11281212120204.jpg

Looking near the RHW curve.  The station is now open and the city is expanding at a high rate.

    TerranSettlement-Feb10291212120693.jpg

A closeup of the new station and RHW expressway.

    TerranSettlement-Mar7291212120823.jpg

Now, a photo way out of Terran Settlement in the rural part of the Greater Terran Region.  Regional planners have urged the government to construct a vast network of rural highways in the region's northern and western sections to encourage development out of the dense urban areas.

-Now the project has begun.  A huge cloverstack interchange has been constructed linking two major highways in this new network.  It is the backbone of the entire project.

-Here is a image of the new interchange, 99% completed.  (Image saved @ 100% quality, so it may take a while to load when clicked on.)

    taucetimar1202121237472gk7.jpg

Anyways, that's it for now!  Stay tuned for more!

    Best,

    -Haljackey

Hey, I saw that interchange over at SC4D 31.gif

Anyway, great update. I just love the new RHW network in the outskirts.

    Can't wait for more.

Yay! That was quite the update. 701 replies?! Wow!! Anyway, I love that interchange in the last picture, I think it's your best yet. One question, where did you get the Euro textures for the newest RHW?

I love the custom interchange, maybe one of the finest pieces of roadgeekery you've come up with. The use of curved puzzle pieces definitely enhance it. The trees in and around the interchange are great too.

WHOA! That interchange just blew my mind!!

It's good to hear that the planners were able to fix the problem before it got serious. Lucky one side was still undeveloped.

The 1% is OWR workarounds, such as for bridges and tunnels.

Again, fantastic interchange. Reminds me of mightygoose's....

Patricius Maximus:  You did??? 3.gif  Thanks for the reply!

jacqulina:  Thanks a lot!  Ya, I hope to restore the whole thing!

nihonkaranws:  Thanks!  Yep, you were #701.
-You can download the asphalt (euro) texture for the RHW at SC4D's LEX.

    un1:  Thanks!
-Well the interchange is in a rural area, so it doesn't matter what size it is.

    dfnva:  WOW!  Thanks a lot!

edmonton_stinks:  LOL!  Yes indeed, it was lucky.

jjune4991:  The 1% remaining is just visual appeal and testing.  You will see this in this update.

rushman5:  Bridge skin?  I've never used one of those...  Thanks for the comment!

Patricius Maximus: yes but the one-ways count as part of the interchange.  The 1% remaining is just visual appeal and testing.  You will see this in this update.

    Smarty218:  Yes it is, isn't it!  3.gif

vinvin du 13:  Hey, thanks a lot!

    Update time!

Well this CJ is still a mess, suffering the aftermath of these site outages.  I figure I have restored about 50% of the content here, but I still have a long way to go before it is 100% restored (If I can ever get to 100%....)
But, I thought a new update was overdue.   Due to the feedback recieved from the new RHW interchange I thought I would be the first to drive on it before it opens to public traffic.

So, I have a new video for you!  A UDI experience you will never forget.

Nice video, though why do Greater Terrans drive so slowly down the left lane as you sped around them on the right? 4.gif

Amazing!! Why would you need an interchange like that in a rural area??
