Ok, here are the things that are wrong in the picture:

1. On various places the RHW-4 (white median lines) suddenly changes in a RHW-2 (yellow median lines)

2. At the bottom of the picture, a RHW-6 is on a place where there must be a RHW-4

3. At the bottom I think you should use the RHW-4 to RHW-2 transition.

4. In the middle and on the top, you see on various places normal roads instead of RHW. This is because those transitions aren't simply included in the RHW v20.

5. After all, it doesn't look realistic by those reasons.

I give you also 1 tip: The neighbour connections with the MIS, RHW-4 and RHW-6 aren't fuctional (see the RHW Developpement Project topic on SC4Devotion).

Mpol, I agree with the previous people that your RHW doesn't seem quite functional. On the other hand, where did you get those beautiful trees and the amazing landscape? It reminds me so much of Germany (or at least that general European area).

mpol: In addition to what is said above, I would recommend that you check out the RHW pictures thread. (There's a link to it in my signature). There are multiple examples shown there in how to create a beautiful and functional RHW, as well as in the interchange thread (link also in my signature).

Also, the RHW development threads both here and @ SC4D showcase come excellent examples on how to make a RHW work.

Best,

-Haljackey

The picture below shows a superhighway in one of my regions. Local lines branch out and merge to form an avenue which interfaces with local roads. The 'expressdeck' also has an interchange here.

Note this area is yet to be developed. Unfortunately, the region does not exist anymore 15.gif

Truflip99: That question was already answered. The person reduced the height of the picture, that's all.

BlackStar: neat interchange, I like it. I don't think I've seen one quite like it before.

dogma555: I can tell you that it IS functional thanks to an old trick: raise the terrain on the part of the body of water that the tunnel will be going through, place the tunnel, and sink the terrain back down underwater.

Those embankments are by Marrast, I do believe.

Note that the tunnel is functional, however, it is not UDI functional...you appear in the water if you try to drive through it.

Still, the design is very interesting! Me though, i would throw some skyscrapers around it like the holland tunnel connecting jersey city to nyc.

Heres what ive come up with so far with my rural highway.. i've resorted to converting back to the maxis highway at times for the overpasses because i like to keep it 3 lanes and figure i can replace them once the puzzle peice is out.

If you've warped it in Photoshop or something...could you post the values so that other users may make their own versions without faffing around?

you have to select a portion of the image you want, cut it, paste it in a new window, then select t again and hold CTRL+T to get into Transform mode. You can right click to see the different options, the one i used is simply rotate.. very basic ps'ing. you can drag it from the top and bottom and press entre when you are done.

What's that monorail bridge? Or is it part of the "shinkinsen" (spelling) mod?

dude if you can identify that monorial for me youd be saint! its a japanese bat that i remember wanting the monorial TRAIN, and didnt know it would replace the TRACK itself too.. i prefer the less invasive looking stock monorail track.

if there is going to be a sim city 5, my main wish would be for a free roam camera.

The highway's lanes weren't meant to link with each other. Big boo-boo.

godzilla, thanks for the link! hopefully i can sucesfully remove it, as the train istelf will display itself perpendicular to the track at times as well..

deever, fantastic looking city there and great photoshopping effects.. although im not feeling the stoplights in the middle of that highway system in the bottom pic. that would be a nightmare at rush hours! but i really love the idea of not only the sunken highway, but also the sunken ave as well! very unique work keep it uP!
