Hey, yeah, that's right! I completely forgot about that. I do believe it was just a "wouldn't it be funny if his label was..." thing, not an actual suggestion. I was just joking. But then again, a lot of people's labels are all jokey anyway, so it fits.

Well, I'm basically done documenting the new labelings so far, and here's some kinks I found:

-Hanson784 and Mr. Glamazon are still iconless and labelless

-I can't get at Gizmo since the search times out whenever I try to search for any posts from him

-sam's spouse and JeffeFiske do not exist, according to the same search function

-NDEX and SHS medals are up, NAM and NHP are apparently still pending at this point.

-there's something whacked out about DragonAnime's medal icon ( i_trixie_3_0_1_0_0.gif)

EDIT: NAM medals are up. SHS regular members don't have thier medals yet, only the senior editors. The "Simtropolis Help Squad" user is also still unmedaled.

EDIT2: Nam Team account is unmedaled.

...anyone care to send me a list of the members of NDEX and the Nam Team? (SHS and NHP have lists in their about threads) It'd really make the documentation a lot quicker, and would also be the only way to make sure I didn't miss anything.

First, I want to thank the administrators and moderators who keep this site up and running, and are able to hold this grand festivity every year in such a great and exciting manner! This was really my first trixie year since I wasn't around for last year's. Incredible how fast everything goes! 44.gif Very exciting part of the year!

I want to also thank every commenter, visitor, and friend that has visited/or continues to visit my journal over the course of 2007, it's the advice and encouragment that really keeps me wanting to continue journaling, and what makes it fun and rewarding! 40.gif

A huge shout out to the batters, lotters and modders that spend day after day working on creations to share with us to improve this game. SC4 would not be the same without your contributions! 2.gif

I'm still incredibly surprised at my awards, not one trixie, but two! Awe inspiring city and Best use of graphics, I mean, Aleking and ThePeoplesPerson won these two last year, just to be nominated is so insane to me! I also couldn't believe how many times I saw my name on the nominee list, thank you guys for putting in the time and nominating me, extremely inspiring and encouraging to know that many people are following my journal and enjoy my mosaics 4.gif

but common, we all know my airports stink 3.gif

Finally, Congratulations! Not only to the trixie winners, but the nominees! Truly well deserved, I've never been to a place where everyone is so excited about a game as much as I am! I sometimes can't believe how amazing this 5 year old game continues to be, and how it can inspire and give a canvas to express creativity 4.gif I'm very glad to see some usernames that I nominated up there! 39.gif

Congrats to all winners you all deserve it, congrats also to all nominees, it really is an honor being there in your company. (I should have been a politician don't you think.... NAHHHHH.....)

And even if I won that Mosaic Trixie, for which I'm very pleased BTW!

I'll tell you this.... I'll never do that again... man that was tedious work!

OK OK Eddie.... I'm finished WINK

Too all, take care... and yes... enjoy life!

That was a Halle Berry if I ever saw one! 11.gif

Well--what can I say? I've been waiting to get one of those cute medals under my name for over a year and after a big disappointment last season(how hard is it to be a runner up when only two people are nominated?? 3.gif), I vowed to get one this year--at ANY cost. 26.gif

Yes, that's right. I rigged the results tried for over a year to create the best CJ I could. Coincidentally, about a year ago from today was the day that I started my Gotham City project--now everyone knows how I update so quickly! And is it ironic that I used to dislike story-based CJs, only to win the most coveted of award from that genre? Of course not!

When making Gotham City, I thought about everything that I didn't like about CJs that incorporated a storyline. Long, dragging story-arcs easily lose audiences over a period of time. Blocks of long text discourage new-time readers. Some people simply don't have the time to read an update that would probably encompass a small 50 page book--that simply won't do! And of course everyone's on an SC4 site to look at the pretty pictures! So I set a plan to create a CJ that would have small, short storylines (so new readers can pick up at any time!), a bunch of eyecandy, and a unique storytelling layout. It worked!

Now on to the thank yous. I'd like to thank the creators of the Batman Animated Series (I can almost here them screaming "copyright violation!!!) for giving me source material to work with (I reworked the dialogue and storylines you screwed up on!!! 26.gif), and of course Simtropolis, the Dirktator (may he live forever), and everyone who nominated me (about time!).

I'm also glad that a bunch of my written nominations made it onto the envelopes (guess which ones!) and that janype one funniest poster of the year.

"Happy tiiimes!"

Congrats to everyone who won a Trixie! This was the first year that I actually made a ton of votes, but started at the last minute so I didn't get to nominate anyone for the STEX or Forum categories. I would like to give out special recognition to all of you excellent CJers out there who won! Nice speech Eddie. 3.gif

Well, even though I didn't get nominated for anything (and I didn't expect to be) I was very surprised at how many of my comments were used for the CJ envelopes. A total of five! Thanks for using them!  9.gif

Can't wait till next year comes along.  Time to look for Trixie canidates again!  35.gif

I'll break out of the shadows of the Dirktatorship and say your comments on your nominees as we were compiling were very well articulated.  Good job!  10.gif

That's because your comments rocked.   When I was going through the comments, deciding which ones to use in the ceremony, I noticed I was selecting yours more often than anyone else's.  After reading several versions of "Well, just look at it, dude!" it was a pleasure to read, and use, your articulate comments.   Keep up the good work!

Ok i known I have said already but the STEX community fave means a lot to me. Im going through a very rough time at the moment and it means so much that people all over the world have voted for me and appreciate what I have done. I truelly thank you all for supporting me and helping me through diffucult times (This trixie has seriously done wonders for my self asteem). I have never been the happiest if people, or particularly content with who i am but to see the support of so many of you is a true inspiration to carry on with everything. Thankyou Simtropolis, if only you knew how much this site has helped me.

I won't tell you who but I will tell you that there are cases where Person A and Person B were tied and Person B won the award because the people who nominated Person B made their case better than the people who nominated Person A.

Joesocwork and SkiGeek... and everyone else on the team:

Thank you very much again! I do enjoy commenting on CJ's, and my writing style is quite similar in essays/stories I write for school. The irony of it is that I ran out of time to nominate because I started way, way too late and spent a LOT of time writing those comments. I knew I should have started nominating earlier in the week, when I had a ton of free time, thanks to the Thanksgiving holidays. Oh well, there's always next year! 3.gif

- Andreas Roth (documentation, installer)

- ArkenbergeJoe (puzzle piece modding)

- blahdy (Big Dig models)

- burgsabre87/ryanb_sc4 (textures)

- diggis (SAM textures)

- filasimo (RHW documentation)

- GoaSkin (puzzle piece modding)

- jplumbley (SAM modding, RHW modding)

- mott (traffic simulator research)

- rickmastfan67 (RHW textures)

- Shadow Assassin (RHW textures)

- Tarkus (RHW modding)

- Tropod (NAM founder)

- Warrior (HSRP modding)

I hope I haven't forgotten someone. 2.gif For other NAM team members, please refer to the credits file in the NAM readme.

I hope I'm not too late to the ceremony, the limo got a flat on the way here.3.gif

First of all congratulations to the nominees and the runners up in all the categories. Secondly, a big thank you to the members of Simtropolis for voting and the staff for putting together the awards. I've come a long way with my CJ and I still have more to go. Thanks again to everyone!

*Heads off to the after party*

It sunk in as I read your post. dayumm.....

you spend all year thinkin-wouldn't it be nice to have 14 trixies like SkiGeek and then you wake up and find a little ribbon next to your name. It may carry no signifigance to my real life, but its really cool to think that tons of people I don't know thought I deserved this.

edit: reading mikes post made me think...the awards just kind of get posted, and then it dies down after a few days. Should we have some kind of end of "Holidays" (as the last couple weeks here could be called) celebration? Like Dirk Day or Llama Day? kind of like a year in review of ST? we could get some quotes and real (not just post) exceptance speeches and post them on the homepage, maybe make a video remembering the year,  and getting ready for Simtropolis next year? CJ Critics would be glad to help out, as im sure a lot of our other "organizations" would. (*cough* artist-songwriter-poet thread *cough*)
