Lt. Black pushed the runabout's front door open and watched as some water came in, then she climbed onto Laur's back. Laur walked over to the door, made sure there was enough room and that Lt. Black was holding on tight enough, and then he spread his arms, opened his wings, and launched himself into the air. After reaching a high enough altitude, he banked to the left and glided around until he was pointing toward shore, then landed in an open area between several trees. Major Zargolf soon landed next to him, having jumped out of the runabout shortly after Laur did. Meanwhile, Brad climbed onto Brian's back, and Brian launched himself toward shore using his telekinesis, but as he has no wings, their landing wasn't as smooth as the others.

Major Zargolf: We need to explore the area to see if we can find anything that we can use, and also to find a way to contact Narya.

Brian walked over to the shore and began to concentrate on the runabout to move it to dry land, but before he could start, a noise in the forest made him turn around. standing between two of the trees were two people who appeared human, but didn't seem to be human. Major Zargolf reached for his weapon, but before he reached it, the two showed that their hands were empty, and then one of them spoke.

???: You will not need that, we have no interest in harming you.

As they came closer, it became easier to see that their faces, as well as the back of their hands, had lines of spots on them.

Lt. Black: Are you Trill?

???: What are Trills? We are Karani, and we are also Darath Kor and Ayura Mar.

As she said their names, she pointed first at her companion, then at herself.

Major Zargolf: I am Major Zargolf, and they are Lt. Black, Brad Meiring, Brian Meiring, and Dr. Hapsedut.

Darath: You are Myonians, correct?

Major Zargolf: H... How did you know?

Ayura: We have been watching you.

Lt. Black: For how long?

Ayura: Ever since you arrived in this part of the galaxy, 10 years ago.

Darath: We can take you back to Narya

Brian: How?

Darath: The same way you got here.

There was a dull thud, and a ship decloaked directly overhead.

Darath: Do you want to come?

Major Zargolf: Yes.

The ship emitted a tractor beam, which began to lift the runabout out of the water, and DPM-2, Ayura, and Darath were beamed into a room on board the ship. As it began to fly off, they all sat down in the chairs in the room, except for Brad who looked at the door.

Ayura: Is something wrong?

Brad: Where is the bathroom?

Ayura: Oh... its just down the hall and to the right.

Brad: Thank you.

Several minutes later there was a slight lurch, and Ayura got up, walked out the door and turned left, and then returned about a minute later.

Ayura: We are in the wormhole, and we will arrive at Narya in about 5 hours.

She then left again and turned right, and then saw Brad

Ayura: You're not like anyone I have met before.

Brad: What?

Ayura: What I mean is, you... and your brother, are not like anyone the Karani have met.

Brad: How?

Ayura: You are much more like the Karani than you are like other humans.

Brad: In what way?

Ayura: You have abilities that I didn't know anyone had other than the Karani.

Brad: Do you mean telekinesis and telepathy and stuff like that?

Ayura: Yes. You could easily be a Karani, the only thing you are missing are spots.

Brad: I can fix that.

Ayura: How?

Brad: Like this.

Brad closed his eyes, and his face and hair began to change, and it soon looked just like Ayura's.

Ayura: How did you do that?

Brad: I am also part Ancaron.

Ayura: I've never heard of them.

Brad: Might be because there are only 2 and a quarter.

Ayura: A quarter?

Brad: That would be me. Only my face, hair, chest, my left arm, and part of my left side are Ancaron.

Ayura: If you don't mind me asking, how are you like that?

Brad: Two and a half years ago, there was an accident with a new power source that Mardon and Cormani, the other two Ancaron, were working on. I was nearly killed in the explosion, but because of where I was at, some of Mardon's nanites entered my body.

Ayura: Nanites?

Brad: That is what the Ancaron bodies are made of, at least the new bodies, I don't know how they were originally. Mardon got me out of the wreckage and Cormani was able to heal me using her healing powers, but it wasn't enough to completely heal me, just enough to keep me from dying. It wasn't until two days later they discovered the nanites that were in me, and they were able to program them to repair me, though my left arm was unable to be fixed. After I regain consciousness, I wanted to keep the nanites instead of having them totally rebuild me, so that is how I became the way I was.

Ayura: You said you lost your left arm, but it looks fines.

Brad: it is totally made out of nanites, and is the only part of my body that is that way, the rest is just nanites on the surface, with my original body below it.

Ayura: Whoa... I don't know I could handle something like that... and Lt. Black said something about Trills, what are they?

Brad: They are one of the alien species on and Earth TV show called Star Trek.

Ayura: So they aren't real?

Brad: No, not in this world.

Ayura: What do they look like?

Brad: Hold on.

Brad's face once again changed, this time it ended up looking like Jadzia Dax.

Brad: Like this.

Ayura: Oh.

As Brad's face and hair returned to normal, Major Zargolf walked out into the hall.

Brad: I was just talking.

Later, in Narya orbit

Darath: We have arrived at Narya, now all we need to do is establish contact and tell them that you are here... and tell them what the new ship in orbit is. 

Myoria

This is the location of the IASA Engine Research, Development and Manufacturing Center, located just to the north of Rothen. Even though some of the buildings have interesting designs, the residents have welcomed the facility.

These buildings are where everything is constructed, there are also plans made to begin construction of a new, larger building for bigger projects.

These two towers are where the engines are tested. (That is, when it is safe to do so)

The view from the other side of the towers, as well as part of Rothen.

This is where the computer simulators and research takes place. Also visible is the ramp down to an underground complex where the Myoria RDPM facility is under construction. It will become operational sometime soon, as soon as all security measures are in place, and once a stargate has been transported into the facility. The Myoria RDPM and the IASA Engine Research, Development and Manufacturing Center will remain separate.

I'm beginning the backup of the updates from Google's cache, so far pages 1 and 6 have been fixed, though it seems that "Karani" will have to be redone...

Everything should now be back up and running... including "Karani." I recommend you look though "Karani" again, as it has been slightly modified, and information on how Brad got his nanites has been added. I though for sure I had said how he had gotten them at the beginning of the CJ...

I think I'll keep backups of the CJ now, as well.

Lost and Found

July 13th, 0165AL (2021)

DPM-2 stepped down from the stargate's platform into a large room, lit mainly by the still active stargate, and the occasional flash of lightning. The stargate soon shut down, and they stayed where they were, so their eyes could adjust to the dark.

Lt. Black: Wha? Oh.

Major Zargolf: What is it?

Lt. Black: I found the DHD.

Major Zargolf: Oh. Anyone else here?

Brian: Well, there's no one nearby, but there is a lot of interference and this seems to be a big place. This room and the hallway connecting to it are clear, though.

Major Zargolf: Okay, lets move out.

They soon reached another room, which had a raised platform i the center, and 4 hallways branching off of it.

Brian: The hallway to the right seems to end not too far from here.

Major Zargolf: Then we will go that way first

Brad: I don't think I like this place.

Major Zargolf: What is it?

Brad: It seems that something is here, but I can't tell what it is.

Lt. Black: What sort of thing?

Brad: I don't know, but I've never felt anything like it before.

They came to the end of the hall, where it split off into two towers. They randomly picked one, and climbed up the steps to the very top, but due to all the rain, the view up there wasn't any better than the view on the ground.

Brian: I'm still not picking up anything of interest.

 Laur: Wait, there seems to be some sort of power buildup near--

There was a flash of light in the room, and when it faded, Laur was nowhere to be seen.

Major Zargolf: What happened?

Brian: It seems the power buildup was a transporter.

Major Zargolf: Yes, but where was he transported?

Brian: i don't know, there's still too much interference.

Lt. Black: Brad, do you know?

Brad: Hold on...

He stood still, and then the view of the tower dissolved, and was replaced with another corridor, similar to the ones they had traveled though to get to the tower, just better lit and with a forcefield closing off access to a room. He stared at it for a few seconds, then he shook his head and the tower reappeared.

Brad: I think he's somewhere on the other side of this complex, but there's some sort of shield and I can't see past it.

They pulled out their weapons and ran back to the room with the raised central platform, then they stopped.

Major Zargolf: Which way?

Brad: Straight ahead.

They began to go toward that hallway, but then there was another flash of light, and someone appeared on the platform.

 ???: We have a bit of a problem... 

Brian: Wait... Tifalka?

Myoria

Nick: This is the southern part of the city of Marul, as well as part of northern Vartak. The canal connects to Rothen, and also is the extension of the river coming down from the leech lakes.

Nick: And the same area at night.

Nick: At the top you can see downtown Marul, also included in this picture is the Marul high speed rail station, the canal, the Vartak-Marul City Park, and way too many MCN apartments.

Nick: And a less dense area across the canal.

Major Zargolf pointed his weapon at the newcomer.

 ???: I'm Laur, remember?

Lt. Black: You sure don't look like Laur.

The newcomer raised an arm and grabbed her (his?) hair, and held it for a few seconds, then brushed it back.

 ???: I'm serious, it is me, Laur! I don't know exactly what happened, I was transported into some sort of chamber, there was a flash of light while I was in there, then I was beamed back here..

Brad: Yes, it is him. And if he's switched bodies with someone, then that someone must be here as well.

They continued to another room nearly identical to the one they just left, only this time the hallway on the other side of the room was lit up, and they could see a forcefield at the end of it.

Major Zargolf: Okay, now we just need to figure out a plan to get by the forcefield, and to deal with whatever it behind it.

Lt. Black: There's no need to get by the forcefield.

As she pointed down the hall, the forcefield dropped, revealing a large room filled with equipment. Someone stood in the doorway, then raised their arms and the other end of the hall began to fill with a green fireball. Brian sent a telekinetic blast down the hall, but it did nothing except slow the flames down a little bit, and blow out a few windows. Laur suddenly put a hand on a black panel next to the entrance, and a heavy metal door closed off the hallway, and blocked the flames just before they entered the room, which instead shot out of the broken windows.

Brian: Now what do we do?

Brad: Whoever it was that did that is gone now...

Just as he said it there was a rumbling, similar to a small earthquake.

Brad: Tifalka is there, though.

Brian: What's wrong?

Brad: Whatever I sensed earlier is still here, only its much stronger now...

As soon as he finished saying this, he collapsed.

Major Zargolf: Laur and Brian, you stay here with Brad, Lt. Black and I will go get Tifalka.

Maj Zargolf and Lt. Black ran though the slightly burnt and soaked hallway after Laur reopened the door, and soon found Tifalka in Laur's body.

Tifalka: You came.

Lt. Black: I'm sorry we couldn't find you earlier, but the galaxy is a big place.

Major Zargolf: We have to go now, before whoever that other person was comes back.

Tifalka: Valira Muchi.

Major Zargolf: What?

Tifalka: That's who it was.

They soon got back to where the others were waiting, and Laur now was holding Brad on his back.

Tifalka: What happened to him?

Brian: I have no idea... he said he sensed something here, that must have been what did it.

Tifalka: What type of thing?

Brian: He didn't know what.

Major Zargolf: And that's another reason why we have to leave soon. Come one, the stargate is this way.

Nick: We're going back to Marul today.

Nick: There are some farms in the area, but the area is mainly trees and city.

Nick: There are 3 ferry terminals in this area, this is the southernmost one, and it also has the most waterfront area around it.

Nikki: Hey!

Nick: What?

Nikki: Why didn't you tell me you were doing city descriptions again?

Nick looked behind him.

Leech: I see no reason why she can't do it.

Nick: *to himself* Just when I though I could get away from her...

Nikki: And scoot over, for some reason there's only one chair here.

Nick: Ow! Don't sit on me!

Nikki: If you just scooted over when I told you to there wouldn't be a problem.

Nick: On the east side of town is the high wealth district.

Nikki: All this as made possible with the SAM.

Nick: The what?

Nikki: The Street Addon Mod, silly.

Nikki: And of cores you have to see downtown!

Nick: But I already showed downtown last time.

Nikki: Then why were there unused pictures of downtown here?

Nick: I don't know...

Nikki: Exactly.

Nick: And downtown at night.

Nikki: Who designed the wall-to-wall building?

Nick: How am I supposed to know?

Nikki: And now here is a simple suburb area on the other side of the river.

Nick: Can you get up? This chair wasn't made for two people.

Nikki: Ummm... No.

Nick: Why not?

Nikki: I'm stuck.

Nick: Wha? Help!!

Nikki: Wait, what does this button do?

Nick: I don't know.

Nikki presses the button, and suddenly, Nick, Nikki, and the seat cushion and thrown into the air, and they all land in a big pile of pillows.

Nikki: Well, that worked.

Dr. Karut: I don't know what happened, as far as I can tell he is perfectly healthy.

Cormani: I couldn't sense anything wrong with him either. The only thing that i can think of is that it had something to do with the entity that he sensed.

Dr. Karut: Also, do you know of anything to do for Laur and Tifalka?

Cormani: Not right now, maybe Lauren Ahrns would know.

Cormani got up and left the room, but before Dr. Karut could get back to work, someone else arrived at the door.

Brad's Room

 Mardon: When will you be able to leave?

Brad: It should be later today

 Mardon: Good, I already have one of the holosuites reserved for the Battle of Yavin.

Brad: This time I get to play Luke Skywalker.

 Mardon: Okay.

Dr. Karut: Brad, there's another visitor for you.

Brad: Who?

Dr. Karut: I don't know her name, it's the person that DPM-1 discovered on P9A-741.

Brad: How does she know about me already?

Dr. Karut: I don't know, but she specifically asked for Brad Meiring.

Brad: Okay.

As Dr. Karut walked back to the main part of the infirmary, Jadzia Dax walked in.

Brad: Dax?

Jadzia Dax: Yes.

Brad: I'm confused.

Jadzia: And so am I. And it seems like just about everyone else here is confused as well.

 Mardon: I think it's time for me to leave.

Jadzia: You don't have to leave because of me.

 Mardon: And what is so confusing?

Jadzia: The only thing I can really remember is being on some sort of ship, and telling this humanoid cat person something about the sun. Also, I feel like I have to go to the planet P1A-374... but I've never heard of it.

Nick: This is the city of Rothen--.

Nikki: In the middle of a storm.

Nick: Nikki! Stop that!

Nikki: Stop what?

Nick: Interrupting me!

Nikki: Sorry.

Nick: The city is built into the side of the mountain, and it is located between Leechville and Marul.

Nikki: And it also has an oddly placed roundabout.

Nick: The eastern part of town, with the river that comes down from the Leech Lakes.

Nikki: Good luck navigating though this part of the canal...

Nick: This is the location of the Rothen Geothermal Power Station, and most of Myoria is powered by geothermal power.

Nikki: Hey! Runabouts!

Nick: What are those doing there? And it seems the storm is clearing up, too.

Nikki: Not only is there an oddly place roundabout, there are oddly placed runabouts...

Nick: The western part of town.

Nikki: And the oddly place roundabout.

Nick: The lower area of housing is somewhat connected to Marul, and because of this Rothen is usually included in the Vartak Metro Area.

Nikki: Just some farms to the southwest of Rothen.

Jadzia: What type of ship is this?

Brad: it's the Larman, a Yanar class runabout.

Jadzia: What's the maximum warp?

Brad: Warp... I don't know. Less then 1. It uses Wapbervklex drive for long distance travel.

Jadzia: Wapbervklex?

Brad: Artificial wormholes.

Jadzia: How long will it take?

Brad: A little less than 2 days, at a speed of warp 28 if we were actually using warp drive.

Jadzia: Warp 28? I thought warp 10 was the maximum speed you could reach...

Jadzia: Computer, display the Star Trek warp scale.

 Computer: Command unclear. Please repeat.

Brad: Display Vinawasho warp scale.

The display appeared in the viewscreen.

Jadzia: So it is an apparent speed of about 22,000 times the speed of light.

Brad: Yes.

Jadzia: What is the maximum speed that this Vinawasho can reach?

Brad: Maximum warp is warp 40, but they also have transwarp.

Jadzia: Whoa...

Sometime in the middle of the "night."

*Thud*

Jadzia: Ow.

She got up off the floor, and walked up to the bridge, while holding onto the wall so she wouldn't fall over again as the runabout continued to shake.

Jadzia: What's going on? I just fell out of my bed because of all these bumps.

Brad: Just some turbulence from B5A-196.

Jadzia: What?

Brad: A black hole.

Jadzia: Oh.

Just then, Lt. Black walked in, while rubbing a bump on her forehead.

Lt. Black: Can you try to keep the runabout steady?

Jadzia: It's a black hole.

Lt. Black: Oh.

Brad: We should be away from it in a minute or two.

Several hours later

Brad: We're almost there.

Jadzia: You want the controls now?

Brad: Yes.

As Major Zargolf and Lt. Black walked into the Larman's bridge, Brad turned the main engines off, and the runabout began to slow down due to drag from holding the wormhole open, then a black spot appeared in front of them, which quickly expanded as a planet appeared in the middle of it, and the Larman flew through it.



Brad: Welcome to P1A-374.

Lt. Black: I'm picking up large amounts of lifesigns from the surface.

Jadzia:  What type?

Lt. Black: I'm not sure yet, and I'm picking up a ship, too.

Major Zargolf: Prepare to cloak.

Lt. Black: It's a CS-2. Wait... the wormhole's still open.

Major Zargolf: How?

Jadzia: Don't look at me.

Lt. Black: They made us take the runabout because they couldn't spare a CS-2, so what is one doing here already?

Brad: They're hailing us.

Nick: And UIP stands for Union Institutes of Physics.

Nikki: It is located just to the west of the Vartak international Airport, which itself is located just to the west of Marul.



Nick: This the the UIP for Nanotechnology.

Nikki: Hmm... why does a nanotech facility need such a large amount of room?



Nikki: And here is where the UIP for Quantum Mechanics is located.



Nick: This area has its own fusion power plant, the only one in Myoria.

Nikki: It's mainly used to power the supercollider.



Nikki: This is the UIP for Particle Physics, which is the location of the supercollider.

Nick: The supercollider is mainly located underground in the hills, this is the only area where it is above ground.



Nikki: The entrance to the facility, with two SCJU flags.



Nick: There are also farms near hear, down in the flatter areas.

Nikki: And a lot of trucks.

*Honk Honk!!*

Nikki: End transmission!
