Basic Background Information:

Dierapyámuk Myon 2 is a continuation of the story started in Galesfe City, and is set 10 years in the future since the start of the RDPM.

Profile: While she may be a smaller (relatively speaking) Muphridian, Lauren can definitely be forceful when she needs to be, and is not afraid to fight. She also likes to do things her way, even if this may cause some new problems.

Profile: Aubrey may be the newest member of DPM-2, but that doesn't mean she doesn't know what is going on. She is getting used to having some leadership, but until she gets promoted, it isn't much.

Occupation: Is "vagabond" an occupation?

Profile: Lagomorphia was considered a myth by the Nekominzoku. Recently, they started to once again explore the galaxy and several, like this character, set out on their own with their own ship. He has an adventurous spirit and is looking to meet interesting new species. In other ways, he's still not much different than other Lagomorphs. He dresses crazy (by our standards). And like all Lagomorphs, he is also extremely vulnerable to addiction (drugs, and whatnot). They tend to avoid addictive substances, knowing this, but there could also be trouble if encountering such a substance and not knowing what it is.

Discoveries

January 6th, 0165AL (2021)

As Brad Meiring looked out of the window of the Namora condo that he shared with his identical twin brother Brian, and Brian's wife Lieutenant Colonel Lillian Thobe Meiring, he though about how things have changed in the past 10 years since he joined the RDPM. The Dlorwani, while they seemed to be a major threat when Myon first met them, have not been involved with Myon ever since they lost two of their ships in a battle with the CS-2 Valmal. 4 years ago he was told that he had several powers, including the ability to read minds, by Mardon and Cormani, two Ancaron who were discovered several days earlier. The Ancaron had then also said that Brian and Major Thobe had telekinetic powers. And then 3 years ago, Tifalka vanished while DPM-6 was on a standard exploration mission. Just 2 years ago he had his left arm, part of his left leg, his chest, and the top and side of his head replaced with the artificial cells that make up the bodies of Mardon and Cormani. After taking a break from the RDPM for a year, he re-joined and became a member of DPM-2, along with Brian, Major Kharisk Zargolf, Lt. Aubrey Black, and Dr. Laur Hapsedut, a scientist.

As Brad continued to think, his communicator beeped. He opened it up and looked at the screen, which had a message saying that DPM-2 was to report to the RDPM facility on Narya. Brad closed his communicator and began to walk to the entrance of the condo.

Brad: Brian?

He heard Brian saying bye to Lil before Brian replied from a different room.

Brian: I'm coming.

They walked to the elevator, and Brian hit the button for the parking garage.

Brad: What is going on?

Brian: I don't know, all the message said was that DPM-2 should report to the Narya RDPM briefing room.

Brad: What do you think it is about?

Brian: Hmmm... I think that an unidentified ship or several have been detected in the area. What do you think? And no cheating.

Brad: I say that another group of beings has been discovered.

Brian: Why would they be calling in DPM-2 for that?

Brad: Maybe they're causing problems?

Brad and Brian parked their car and then went up to the top of the building, and walked into the briefing room, where Lt. Black and Major Zargolf were already sitting down.

Major Zargolf: Good, you're here.

Just then, General Yelslew walked in and sat down.

Gen. Yelslew: Where is Dr. Hapsedut?

Lt. Black: He is probably still coming, he does live on the other side of the city.

Gen. Yelslew: I will start the missing briefing as soon has he arrives.

Brian: Mission?

Gen. Yelslew: Yes.

The door opened again and Dr. Hapsedut rushed in

Dr. Laur Hapsedut: Sorry for being late.

Gen. Yelslew: Its okay, maybe someday the city will listen to my suggestions and add more transporters.

Lt. Black: What's the mission?

Gen. Yelslew: Some sort of creature has been found in the underground, and your mission is to capture it. You will travel to Khatak's Namora offices, which is located near the part of the underground the creature has been trapped in, and has a transporter.

Brian: We're going to catch some animal?

Gen. Yelslew: It isn't known what it is, but according to the life signs detectors, it is between a zuke and a human is size, and it appears to be acting intelligently.

 Laur: Okay.

Gen. Yelslew: Once you have got everything you need, report to the transporter.

...

They stepped into the transporter, and Gen. Yelslew began entering the coordinates for Khatak's offices.

Gen. Yelslew: Good luck.

There was a flash of light, and they walked out of Khatak's transporters, and toward the stairs to the underground.

Background information on the Ancaron:

The Ancaron appear similar to humans, though they have gills slits on either side of their nose as well as on their neck. They originally lived in the Small Magellanic Cloud, but traveled to the Milky Way around 10,000 years ago, and set up a small base on the planet Narya and the surrounding area. Shortly after they arrived, they were largely wiped out by the Dlorwani, with the survivors returning to Narya, and then some traveled back to their home in the SMC, while several others created a computer simulated world on Narya, which they then inhabited. Their technology is mostly organic with metallic parts used in places where higher strength is needed.

Discoveries, part 2

January 6th, 0165AL (2021)

Major Zargolf: Night vision goggles on, and lets go.

Lt. Black entered the code to open the door, and DPM-2 walked over to the opening, with stunners ready.

Almost immediately after the door opened, the creature appeared at the end of the hallway

Creature: Khurrrr...

Lt. Black and Brian fired at it, but the creature took off down one of the side hallways before the shots reached it.

As they ran after it, they heard a splash, and a quick check of a life signs detected showed it was now traveling down another, lower passage off to the right of the one they are in.

Brian: Fast thing...

Major Zargolf: This passage is blocked off on the other end, so the creature should be trapped.

Suddenly, a grinding noise coming from the end of the passage.

Major Zargolf: I mean this passage was blocked off. We're going to have to get wet.

 Laur: What type of water is it?

Major Zargolf: Just regular ground water, nothing bad.

They jumped down into the water, or at least Brad, Brian, Lt. Black, and Laur did, while Major Zargolf hovered over the water, and headed down to the other end of the passage.

Brian: I though you said we were going to get wet, not everyone but you.

Major Zargolf: I can fit in the dry spot.

Just as they got to the entrance to another room, the lights in the room came on, eliminating the need for the night vision goggles.

Major Zargolf: Lt. Black and Brad, you will go up this passage, while Brian, Laur, and I will go the same way the creature did.

Lt. Black: Yes, sir.

They saw the creature up on a walkway next to the pool, and they fired several shots at it, which the creature avoided, before it took shelter behind a control console.

Laur launched himself into the air, drenching Major Zargolf in the process, and fired off another shot at the creature before landing on the walkway. The stunner blast, however, stopped over the console, and then shot in the opposite direction, hitting one of the lights in the back of the room. Major Zargolf got out of the was before Brian jumped onto the walkway, sending water flying everywhere. A side door then opened, and Brad and Lt. Black came out, aiming their stunners toward the console where the creature was hiding.

Major Zargolf: Careful, it has telekinetic powers.

A part of the console suddenly flew out from the creatures hiding spot, which landed in the pool, and a loud sparking sound could be heard coming from behind the console.

 

Brian: I think it has more than just telekinetic powers... Hmm...

He aimed his stunner up toward the ceiling above the console, fired it, and then waved his left arm down, causing the stunner blast to come down behind the console. There was an even louder zapping sound, and then a thud, and then silence.

Brian: I think that did it.

Lt. Black: Yes, the life signs detector shows that it has been stunned.

Brad: And I see that you are now wet, Major Zargolf.

Major Zargolf: That was Laur. I think he got about half the room wet when he took off.

Major Zargolf then grabbed his radio and contacted the Narya RDPM.

Major Zargolf: The creature has been captures, he, or at least I think it is a he, seems to be a young muphridian, but he has no biometric chip, so it is unlikely that he is a Myonian citizen.

 Gen. Yelslew: Bring him to the Namora Space Force Base.

Major Zargolf: Yes, sir.

Discoveries, part 3

January 7th, 0165AL (2021)

Lt. Black: The only thing it has said so far is that it serves Mloret

Brian: So we have Dlorwani problems?

Lt. Black: I think so, though I don't know why Mloret would have a young muphridian serve him.

Brad: I don't know either.

Brad looked out the window, and watched a CS-2 start to land.

As he continued to watch the CS-2, there was a blue flash, followed by a loud blast that shook the entire building, which caused Lt. Black to fall on top of Brian, and Brad to grab onto the window frame to stay standing.

Meanwhile, as alarms rang out, the shield containing the creature dropped due to damages caused by the blast, and the creature jumped out of the hole in the roof, and landed on something invisible hovering over the building. Several guards began firing at it, but it deflected all of the shots fired at it; however, some of the shots hit the other object, causing it to de-cloak.

The ship began to fly away from the base, and as it left the AA guns fired at it

Gen. Yelslew: That ship can not be allowed to escape!

Captain Marori Vashuri: Acknowledged

The CS-2 that was preparing to land turned around and chased after the Dlorwani ship.

They soon flew above some nearby clouds, but the Dlorwani ship was able to avoid all of the shots fired at it.

Captain Vashuri: Target the ship with the beam weapons!

The ship began a hard turn to the left to try to avoid the CS-2, but it was too late. The CS-2's beam punched through the ship's shield, then ripped though the ship as well. 2 seconds later, the ship turned into a fireball as the beam dissipated.

Captain Vashuri: The ship was unable to transmit a subspace message before it was destroyed.

Gen. Yelslew: Good. Now all we need is to repair the damage it caused.

Brad: What was that ship? It looked like some sort of fat fish.

Major Zargolf: How did.. never mind. It was a Dlarya, a medium range and size Dlorwani ship. And apparently, they also have cloaking technology.

Brian: And we now have Dlorwani problems.

Lt. Black: You said that already.

The Archaeologist and the Ruins

January 10th, 0165AL (2021)

Brad: Not often we get to use the GS-1s.

Major Zargolf: The area around the gate is very mountainous, and it would take several hours to hike to the castle we are going to, and there is also a river to cross.

Brad: There isn't anything coming from the life signs detector, but there is an odd energy reading coming from the castle.

 Laur: Interesting. Can you scan it again when we get closer, just to make sure?

Brad: Okay.

Brian: If there isn't anyone here, then who built it?

Lt. Black: That is what we are here to see.

They flew over the castle while still cloaked, and received the same readings as before. There are no people around the area, and an odd energy reading from the rear of the castle.

Brad: Where should I land?

Major Zargolf: Somewhere near the end of the walkway coming from the castle.

They got out of the GS-1 and began walking up the ramp to the castle.

Lt. Black: It looks like it is in very good condition for not having anyone around.

 Laur: We don't know how long it has been since someone was here, though.

Lt. Black: Good point.

They walked over a small section of the castle at the front, and Brian opened the door, which creaked.

Brian: It's dark in here.

After their eyes adjusted to the dark, high ceilinged room, lightened by only 2 small windows, they could see that the floor was covered with a thick layer of dust, and several scattered pieces of rock and wood.

 Laur: Someone has been here recently.

Lt. Black: Huh?

 Laur: I can see a path on the floor which doesn't have as much dust. It goes over to that door.

They walk over to the door, and open it to reveal a smaller room, much the same as the one they are in. Once they enter, however, they see an unknown language written in the rock wall on either side of the door.

Major Zargolf: I think we are going to need to get a specialized team here to check the rest of the castle out.

As Major Zargolf and Laur walked though another door to a neighboring room, Brad walked down some steps to a small room to look out the window.

There was a flash of light, and Brad found himself facing a large stone archway in another room of the castle. He look around the room, which had several window in the wall on the other side of the archway, and several doors in both halves of the room. He looked at his life signs detector, which showed that he was now in the center of the castle, and he grabbed his communicator.

Brad: Hello?

Communicator: *static*

Brad: Pesky odd energy reading...

He took a step out of the circular depression in the floor he was standing in, hoping that if he stepped back in, it would transport him back to where he was. However, as he stepped out into the archway, there was another flash of light.

Brad: Not again...

He looked at his life signs detector, which showed that there was someone else not too far behind him. He spun around, and pulled out his stunner.

???: You don't need the gun.

January 10th, 0165AL (2021)

Brad looked at the other person, then lowered his stunner.

Brad: Where am I?

???: As far as i know, you are on a moon of a nearby gas giant, and the stargate is on another moon.

Brad: Endor?

???: What is Endor? Also, I'm Daniel Jackson.

Brad: Brad Meiring, and Endor is a forest moon in Star Wars.

Daniel Jackson: Star Wars?

Brad: It's a series of movies from the planet Earth.

There was another flash of light a short distance away, but it didn't seem like anything had appeared, then there was a dull thunk.

Daniel: Ow!

Brad: Are you okay?

Daniel: Yes.

Brad: What was that?

Daniel: I think I got hit in the back of the head with a rock. Lets go somewhere else before something bigger comes though.

They started walking though the forest, in the direction of a small cliff.

Brad: Are we going to any specific place, or just away from where we were?

Daniel: I have a cabin on top of the cliff. Well, actually I just found it there and there was no one else around to claim it.

They walked into the cabin, and Daniel put a log in the fireplace and lit it. He then took pulled a small animal out of his backpack, skinned it, and then placed it on a metal grid, and hung the grid over the fire.

Daniel: I should probably teach you how to do that; I have no idea how long we will be stuck here. I've already been here for about a month.

...

Daniel: Brad?

He looked around, and saw Brad sitting in a chair, breathing slowly. As Daniel looked at him, Brad opened his eyes.

Brad: They're coming.

Daniel: What?

Brad: The rest of my team. It will be awhile before they get here though.

Daniel: How do you know that?

Brad: It's a long story.

Daniel: Hold on.

He walked over to the fire, and flipped the meat over, then sat down next to Brad.

Daniel: So, how do you know that they are coming?

Brad: I could see it, I could show you, but I think it would be best if I waited until after you finish cooking.

Daniel: But how can you see it?

Brad: I am not entirely sure, but I think that the al'Hasiq were the ones who gave me the power to do so. They also did the same with my brother Brian, and his wife Lil, though with different abilities. As for when, I think it was around 10 years ago.

Daniel: What kind of abilities?

Brad: I can read minds and see stuff that is going on elsewhere, Brian and Lil both have telekinetic powers, and Lil also has healing powers.

Daniel: Like the muphridians?

Brad: Yes.

Daniel: I think the meat is done.

Brad: Already?

Daniel: Yes, it doesn't take that long; I learned that pretty quickly after I burnt the first stuff I caught.

Daniel then took the meat off of the fire and used some spears to pull it into two pieces. He then placed each piece on a wooden place, and put it on the table, and then grabbed two cups and filled them with water, before placing them next to the plates.

Daniel: Sorry I don't have any utensils. At least, not ones you would want to eat with.

He picked up the meat and then took a bite out of it, and then Brad did the same.

Brad: Where did you come from?

Daniel: I am from the planet Terra.

Brad: There is a planet named Terra near Myon, which is where I am from.

Daniel: I have heard of Myon, but the Terra where I come from isn't anywhere near there.

He pulled a piece of paper out of his backpack, as well as a pen, and wrote Terra's gate address on it.

Brad: That doesn't look familiar.

After they finished eating they walked over to a wooden couch and sat down.

Daniel: You said you could show me that the rest of your team was coming?

Brad: Yes, you want to?

Daniel: How do you do it?

Brad: Part of my body was replaced with nanites made by the Ancaron. Basically, it will temporarily connect our minds.

Daniel: Have you done this before?

Brad: Yes.

Daniel: Okay, do I need to do anything?

Brad: Just relax. 

Daniel: Okay.

Brad placed his left hand on the back of Daniel's head, and the room appeared to vanish around them, to be replaced with total blackness. Even though there was nothing else around, Daniel could still easily see Brad floating in front of him.

Daniel: Where are we?

Brad: Right now, nowhere.

The darkness around them soon dissipated, to be replaced with numerous stars, the gas giant, a moon, and a GS-1.

Daniel: A puddle jumper?

Brad: A what?

Daniel: That is was that ship was called back on Terra.

Brad: It is a GS-1 on Myon, but I think I like puddle jumper better.

They floated over to the front of the jumper and looked in.

Daniel: They can't see us?

Brad: Yes. That is Brian Meiring, Dr. Laur Hapsedut, Lt. Aubry Black, and Major Kharisk Zargolf.

As he said their names, he pointed at each one.

Daniel: Are you and Brian twins?

Brad: Yes.

The scene dissolved, and it was replaced by Daniel's cabin as Brad took his arm off of Daniel's head.

Brad: They should be here soon; they are a lot closer than the last time I looked.

The GS-1 soon appeared in the sky, and it landed in front of the cabin as night began to fall.

Major Zargolf: You had us worried there.

Brad: Sorry. And this is Daniel Jackson.

Daniel: Can I come with you?

 Laur: Why? It looks like you have a nice cabin here.

Daniel: This isn't my home; I got stuck here just like Brad.

Major Zargolf: Okay, we will take you back to Myon, and from there you can go though the gate to you own planet.

Daniel: That sounds good, just let me get my stuff.

He walked back into the cabin, and came back out several minutes later carrying his backpack, which he placed in the GS-1.

Brad: Also, did you know the GS-1 is also called a puddle jumper?

Brian: Don't think I've heard that before, but I like it.

Daniel: That is what it is called on my planet.

3 hours later they arrived at the gate, dialed Myon, and went though.

They walked down to the DHD after the debriefing, and Daniel dialed the address to his Terra. However, when he pressed the red button to complete the dialing sequences, the stargate shut down without opening a wormhole. He tried again, with the same result as before.

Daniel: That's odd... I'm sure that is the correct address.

Sergeant Varmon: That address is in the database we have, so I think you dialed correctly, something must be wrong with the gate on the other end. Maybe it is just busy.

Daniel: Oh, no...

Sergeant Varmon: What?

Daniel: Mloret.

Sergeant Varmon: What about Mloret?

Daniel: He must have come when I was stuck on that moon... There isn't going to be anything left...

And Daniel Jackson is a sort of woodsman character. I was expecting a geek, naturally. But it's interesting nonetheless. I guess we're going to have to wait to see what happened there...
