iCaNDY... Hmmm, what's going on here? I thought some newb might have stolen your trademark journal name and just mixed it around a little when I saw this in the latest replies section... hehe... 3.gif

Anyway, looks like I missed the last update, but as per usual, really nice (that rail line looks so cool, and that train mod too!) Actually never seen anything quite like it, can't wait for the next update man!

Wow! Awesome work here, it certainly makes me want to do better, and I learn a lot.

One question: You have such a wide variety of trees, and you have trees along your roads/streets/avenues. what mod(s)/etc are you using for the trees?

These are amazing! I really like how everything is balanced, it looks so well done that it's hard to believe it's SimCity based... using photoshop or not, that is some insane talent you have there - lookin forward for more updates!

Nice new name. At first I thought it was a new CJ, haha. I'll have to fix my signature now. I look forward to your next mosaic. 9.gif

    COMMENTS

    CarmineHilton: Thanks, Carmine!

Amerikaner: Thanks you very much for the lengthy reply, in a nutshell, everything in that mosaic is fake 3.gif All a bunch of lots put together to get the effect, that's what I did with the train tracks. Even the train is just a simple 1 x 4 lot that I did with a train prop 9.gif The road texture I think was made by Heblem, it just found it in Lot Editor and decided to use it 3.gif Glad you liked it!

    Yoman3: Thanks Owen. I still think it's a bush but okay 3.gif

Incarnation of Hate: Uh, okay. Sorry about the grass being too green then...

Giligone: Thanks Giligone, that's what I was going for 4.gif

patriots_1228: lmao 3.gif Thanks, it is the first rural mosaic.

ky72x: Thanks Kyle 4.gif I think the trails came out pretty cool aswell, glad you enjoyed it!

sEAhAwk fAn121: Yeah, I kind of like making cities a bit more than countrysides, I hope you liked this city mosaic 2.gif

    panthersimcity4: lol, Thanks Panther 4.gif

    Andronicus22: Thanks.

    connorc24: Thank you! 9.gif

suplado: Thanks suplado, glad you liked the mosaic!

BlondeTwiggy: lol, I don't remember if you posted, I think you did, but I'm too lazy to check back, hehe. Glad you liked the collage, I have done a bunch of stuff in the year, I have too much time on my hands lol. Glad you liked the rural mosaic, I've never really done one before 4.gif

zelgadis: Thanks Zel! I thought the contrast between the traditional village with the modern train was pretty cool, like something you would see in Italy 4.gif I kind of just put that little building on the top because I've seen some tool sheds like that on my travels, but it is a little out of place in the top of the hill 3.gif

Callbat: Well, I finally did the Canary Wharf haha, I thought it was the easiest part of London to do first 3.gif Glad you liked the Tuscan mosaic!

Shanna: Thanks Shanna! Your countrysides are really amazing, so it means a lot 4.gif

allez l'om: Haha, I don't know, I just look at some pictures and try to recreate the scene as best as I can. Glad you liked it!

lucky7: Thanks lucky, glad to see you around!

    jacqulina: Thanks, Jacky 9.gif

Mulefisk: Thanks Mulefisk! I haven't used shadows in this journal since I started since they really weird bloches, and just makes everything look glitchy.

Deever: Thank you very much for the congratulations and kind wishes, Deever! Hope to see you around the journals section often! 4.gif

gabry85: Thank you, hope you have a great 2008 aswell!

penguin007: Thanks, I made some tarmac street lots with the lot editor, but I think the SAM has these kinds of roads to use 4.gif

    dralin321: Thank you!

koekie01: Hah, thank you Koekie! 9.gif When I started San Senderiz, I felt bad for not updating Eyecandy, but now that I'm updating Eyecandy, I kept putting San Senderiz updates aside. I'll try to update it more soon with a good update though, it's not closed just yet. I don't really want to work on WORLD anymore because I am kind of tired of the constant PMs to do someone's city, and the long time it takes to make a new update.

Mike the Mayor: Thanks, Mike! You answer is above ^ 3.gif

Interchange: Thanks Interchange, the vineyards are found in sc4devotion.

    2nerdy4u: Thanks!

    GreekMan: Thanks!

serebii666: Thank you! I don't have the Lovre model so I can't show that update. If debussyman decides to release it then I will 4.gif

sims co.: lol, Thank you very much! 4.gif I'm happy you like my journal!

Jasoncw: Wow, hello Jason! Glad to see you around, last time you visited was in March 3.gif I do enjoy architecture and urban planning very much, I take that as a huge compliment! Your bats are great, so I always use them when I can lol.

masochist: Haha, hey masochist 2.gif Amber waves of grain, I like that 3.gif I actually found a HSR like the one I created passing through a quiet Tuscan town like I recreated above, I thought I'd include that to have a nice little modern edge to the picture. BTW, I restarted eyecandy over at sc4devotion today, so you'll see me around much more! [not sure if that's a good thing, lol.]

sEAhAwk fAn121: lmao, thanks Clint 4.gif

C0ckatoo-210893: Hehe, patriots suggested it, and I thought, hm, why not confuse people with it? Just having some fun 3.gif GLad you enjoyed the update, hope you liked the Hong Kong style update lol.

belfastuniguy: Thank you 4.gif Nice to see you here.

AutumnWindz: Thank you! The streets are fake, I put a bunch of lots together to make it like that, so I would be able to have many trees. Actual eyecandy, heh.

The Arrowz: Thank you! I'm happy you liked the update!

Giligone: Haha, don't change your siggy just yet, I just changed the name for a day for fun 3.gif

Voulpiotis: Yeah, It happens when I don't update for a while, but I'm not complaining! 3.gif Thanks for stopping by!

SpecialEddie: Hah, nice to see you around, Eddie!

    jacqulina: Thank you, Jacky 2.gif

    vivydu29: Thank you!

Well Done! Damn it, you beat me to be the first to use the new BOC tower! 6.gif Oh well...

What can I say, you've really outdone yourself this time. Form my perspective that's a very accurate re-creation. You've got all the key buildings in the right places (although the Victoria Tower's shouldn't be blocking out Central Plaza) and fantastic job with the botanical gardens. The photo shopping is beautiful as usual, especially on Central Plaza and the Lippo, you've just made their night lighting really come to life.

All in all you get two thumbs up from me, you really pulled it off well! 44.gif

By the way, you should really give Kowloon a crack too, I’m sure if you can pull of Admiralty this well then re-creating the Kowloon peninsular would be a snap for you and make a great update for eyecandy. I’d just like to see what you do with it, and get some more ideas for my own HK. Keep goin! 19.gif

looking back over this cj I think what pleases me most is that you didn't just make it for the sake of making it you must have put hours and hours of work into these cities.

    well done!

Another top-notch mosaic! The avenue and road underpasses/tunnels look excellent and blend well with these HK buildings. I think I'll have to give credit to the matching sidewalk textures also. 9.gif
