I'm obviously not the only one noticing the Monte Cristo developers lurking around reading our suggestions and asking our questions.  I just want to thank them for listening to our ideas and giving us a sneak peek at the game.  It's great to know that a company like Monte Cristo is actually interacting with us, the ultimate city simulation fans.

We're looking forward to Cities Unlimited and we want to know more... please keep in touch with us. 1.gif

Yes great thread. Thanks Monte!

It seems like City Life was their experiment. They wanted to get into City simulation, so they put CL out, wanting everyones reactions to build on that and give us an even better game in CU.

Monte Chisto

I have been a loyal fan to the simcity genre my whole life. When I heard about SCS I was truly outraged, then you people came and saved the day, thank you so much monte Christo.

Now, my only request is that you either develop a mac version of the game or hand it over to aspyr or MacSoft or someone like that to finish the Job

Thank You, you are the gods of SimCity Loyalists everywhere

I agree. Thanks for listening to peole's comments. If only EA could do the same... Cities Unlimited looks miles better than societies

Well, I don't know about EA, but Tilted Mill has been in touch with ST and listening as well.  The difference might be that Tilted Mill is following EA's orders and can't truly fulfill our needs while Monte Cristo doesn't have a larger entity behind them dictating what the game will be like... at least that's what I think it's like.

I do agree that CU looks better than SCS even though there are only a few screens of CU and tons of pics, movies, and info released about SCS.

(And how did I not see this thread before?)

Indeed, thank you very much Monte Cristo - and specifically you, Phillipe, who has shown a heck of a lot of patience and interest in our community. It has been rather fascinating to watch = and watching both you and David from Tilted interact has been quite a joy.

It has also been very nice to see you are taking interest in our ideas and thoughts. Though I realize you cannot put in everything we want (I am trying to imagine how powerful of a system it would take to run that monstrosity), it is very interesting to see your interaction with us.

Thank you again - it is very appreciated.

Thanks to the MC gang for coming and listening.

Nice to see a company that knows where it's market is. Other companies should follow your's and Tilted Mill's example.

I tell ya - after doing some looking around regarding this new "Cities Unlimited" concept - if this game does get released with even 80% of the features suggested...it will blow SC4 out of the water! I'll be keeping an eye on this myself.

If CU does blow SC4 apart this will be good for EA. Because i would expect EA to retaliate and bring out a SC5. How ever i am afraid it will be too late for EA. All the fan base would have shifted to CU and i dont see EA ever recovering form this shift. SC5 would become a second sim rated game maybe even third. EA will go down in history as making one of the biggest blunders of all time with SCS and how to lose a large fan base.

Good speech, I totally agree with what you just posted and I think Monte Cristo are so good at listening as well as making a game.

Thanks purpledaddy but I cheated for this award as I work for Monte Cristo and that's one of the reasons why I got it I guess. 2.gif

Now, to be completely honnest, I am most proud of beeing nominated for the "Friendlist Forumer" and "Friendlist Member Overall" because they value my personal relationship with you. However, that's not the purpose of this thread 4.gif

Just keep coming regularly to cuplanet.com website as we should come up with some news before christmas... I can't tell you more about it right now 4.gif

I may not know much about business strategy: But, It's good to use common sense and have a very well fan9.gifeveloper ratio so you can find out what makes fans pissed off or happy to balance things out. 2.gif I understand that not all features will be implied or maybe in ways we never thought of, so Good luck on your first game.

37.gifPlease don't rush yourself to meet the demands of people okay? Also tell people why delays are happening in a general way to not cause too much spoilers; while at the same time giving us the scoop. This way it won't become another Zelda TP episode all over again. (Take a look at the history of that and look for non biased opinions on Zelda/Nintendo fansites in order to not be the same way) I don't want to ever go through that again.7.gif Cheers.

Now that I got that important stuff out of the way;  Want to go to the back room of this site and39.gif Mr. CRISTO?   We can invite everyone to take turns virtually playing Beta CU. (Walks out of Simtropolis Meeting Room due to being the last post on this thread then waits in party room by the high powered PC)9.gif.  There are a bunch of PC's by the way, but this one is the highest powered version.
