I have a suggestion, beware on the size relative to other buildings  Paul has already made.

Here is a photo overlooking the roof and height difference.

Oh, thanks Hong Kong. That photo of the roof is brilliant, one of the only sections I couldn't eventually find a reference for.

I know I've struggled with scale in the past, but I had an accurate floor plan for this... and If I got the floor height measurements right then this should be near spot on in terms of size, shape and scale.

OMG that roof is so gorgeously fun!!! Make it look exactly like that!!!! The broad white ducts will the be hardest. That was actaully the hardest part on the Huthinson House building as well.

    Hi cockatoo,

i just downloaded your AIG tower and was wondering if there were any plans to add the rainbow nightlights to it? like here:

    http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/41/HK_AIG_Tower_Lighting_20.JPG/450px-HK_AIG_Tower_Lighting_20.JPG

if there isnt or if it's too hard/not possible then that's fine and i completely understand (actually, i dont because i wouldnt have the slightest clue about BATing lol).

i just think that they'd really add another element to the building which could really make it pop in a SC night view.

    cheers man.

I've decided to challenge myself a little over the Christmas break and do something a bit different to the usual glass & steel skyscrapers.

These- grand old style buildings from a district called Bund in Shanghai. Pity is that I hardly know anything about the place, so I was wondering if anybody would be able to provide names of any of these ones that I've found on globalphoto's (these were some of the more interesting ones). If so, then I may do a couple of ‘em.

Odainsaker is already doing the first one. I don't know what the others are, but if you go to emporis.com and filter by date, it might help you find them, since there are so few buildings left from those times.

Glad to see someone tackleing some of these classical styles. Really quite beautiful. I would love to see any of those three in the last pic, the left one is especially unique.

Hope to see how this goes, once I get a bit more practice I was thinking about dabbling in a similar project,

The buildings in the first or second pic, or the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corp building, also in The Bund, would make great additions, not only to HK's recreation, but to the game in general.

Actually I think thats the EWO Building. Although the HSBC building would make an excellent addition

Heres a picture of the HSBC building if you want to fancy a go at it

^^ They've been on the STEX for a good 6 weeks now. Thanks.

I've started work on the most simple of them, the orange-ish building in the third picture above (Nothing special yet, this is just the skeleton really...)

It looks really nice. it is also cool to see that you not only excel in modeling modern skyscrapers, but also smaller traditional structures.

    Cheers.
