Leader boards hold no appeal to me. I didn't play simcity 4 in order to aggrandise myself over others. Why on earth would I want to start now? City simulation works best when it involves experimentation and creativity. Leader boards will probably stifle that by forcing 'competitors' towards the same endpoint of efficiency and productivity. The point of simulations is that they are open ended. Internal missions and mini games detract seem to just cheapen the experience. I think many of us got a thrill from crafting our cities. This is something I feel will be more difficult in simcity 5

If a new war was enough to bring back Medal of Honor, then surely a global shift towards more sustainable thinking is enough to reignite SimCity? Take a page from IBM's CityOne project EA.

To me, it just seems a shame to put industry in such a picturesque location as the southern industrial city. I would make the southern industrial city into a small residential city and make the eastern city into a thriving commercial/dense residential centre. Then i would further develop the 'western' industrial cities towards their southern coast and set up ferry links between the new residential city and the industrial city. but that might be a dumb plan.

Hey guys, i'm just wondering if anybody knows of a passenger rail terminus that is one tile wide (ie: the width of one track) it doesnt need to be massively high capacity, just something that doesnt look like the tracks should continue through it, rather than finish at it. any ideas/suggestions?

Hi cockatoo, i just downloaded your AIG tower and was wondering if there were any plans to add the rainbow nightlights to it? like here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/4/41/HK_AIG_Tower_Lighting_20.JPG/450px-HK_AIG_Tower_Lighting_20.JPG if there isnt or if it's too hard/not possible then that's fine and i completely understand (actually, i dont because i wouldnt have the slightest clue about BATing lol). i just think that they'd really add another element to the building which could really make it pop in a SC night view. cheers man.

hey guys, thanks for your help with my last query. this time around i'm looking for building with colourful nightlights. i've already got the BLaM rainbow tower, and the colourful art deco hotels (sorry, i dont know who made them ) has anybody got other examples of buildings with great, colourful nightlights?

hey guys, i was wondering if there was a file or plugin i could download to get the lights working on the buildings i have downloaded from the STEX. All of the buildings i have downloaded do not show their nightlights in my game and i don't know why. If somebody could help me out that'd be great.
