Stop that! Stick with one city for pete's sake! Looks good, but what's with the grey roads? Looks horrible, in my opinion. Keep this one going this time, okay?

Wow, really realistic! Looks exactly like Atlanta! 3.gif

However, I do think you have just a tad too many skyscrapers. Get rid of midtown, and make that area low rises/mid rises. Having a landscape also helps, but I've seen plenty of spectacular cities built on blank regions, so that doesn't really matter.

The road networks are amazing, and while I do think the grey roads are far more realistic than SC4 Default roads, I just don't like the texture. I have to agree with topcliff that they are ugly, and it would be better to get rid of them.

Anyway, spectacular start, I'll have to keep a close eye on this. 4.gif

That is amazing! It looks EXACTLY like Atlanta. Although I would remove a few of the buildings and add more trees, other than that, you got this down!

Very cool, but I have to agree with those who say the grey roads are a bit ugly. The default ones look better to the eyes, at least. I do like how your freeway seems to weave through downtown - you should try downloading some freeway embankment sets from the STEX as eye candy for sunken highways. Other than that, very nice overall.

I don't like the grey roads either. I do like the building variety but the skyscrapers are a little spread out. Downtown should look better once it's filled out. May I suggest midrises and rowhomes?

You definitely have a hotlanta vibe here. I will be intrigued to see where this leads.

Looks like some nice interchanges and road planning, I'll agree with others, though that there are a lot of skyscrapers, maybe some more medium-sized buildings. Also, the Piggly Wiggly and other stores look out of place, they would look better along a suburban road or a road leading out of the CBD into residential areas.

Anyhow, good luck.

Dan

Interesting. I actually like the grey roads, as they seem realistic. And so does the road layout. I think that you have too many skyscrapers though, try using some smaller ones. I'm looking forward to seeing how realistic you'll make the suburbs. Nice CJ.

What did you use for your freeways? Rural Highways or Oneway Roads? Those look awsome! Very realistic interchanges and yes it looks EXACTLY like Atlanta... I live here and I can even see Peachtree Street, Spring Street, I-75/85, I-20... nice ... I might want to design my highways like that!
